Over 1,000 Taiwanese travelers from dozens of tour groups have faced delays getting back to Taiwan due to the outbreak of war in the Middle East. The government has raised travel alert levels, urging Taiwanese nationals in Iran and Israel to leave immediately. However, many airports in the region have been partially closed.

00:11Taiwan have been affected. Many were set to fly home via Dubai's main airport, which has only
00:16partly reopened. Travel agencies are scrambling to help find other routes back to Taiwan and
00:22reschedule tours that have been canceled. High-level travel warnings remain in place across
00:26the region, and Taiwanese nationals have been urged to leave Iran and Israel.
00:31President Lai Qingda says the government is closely watching developments and providing
00:35assistance to ensure the safety of Taiwanese nationals in the Middle East.
