00:00And our understanding is there was some kind of reception that night. Do you have any recollection of attending that
00:06event or that reception?
00:07I have no specific recollection, but I know that I was expected to, and I assume I did. But I
00:14can't, sitting here today, describe anything specific about that event.
00:20But I was very anxious to support fundraising that went to the White House Historical Association that in turn supported
00:29the upkeep and the maintenance of the White House, because certainly, you know, it was an old building with a
00:37lot of very valuable furniture and art.
00:41And it took a lot of wear and tear because I just finished explaining we had thousands of people who
00:46would come through. And I'm not even talking about the visitors who would come through, because that was many, many
00:51more thousands.
00:52So the House itself needed to be carefully cared for. And so I hosted, my husband and I hosted the
01:03event and the White House Historical Association brought those who had contributed because it was ultimately beneficial for the White
01:13House.
01:13Would it be correct to say that sitting here, you have no specific memory or recollection of meeting Mr. Epstein
01:20or Ms. Maxwell at that event in 1993?
01:24That is an accurate statement. In fact, when I got the subpoena, I was incredulous because I never thought I
01:33was in the same room with Jeffrey Epstein.
01:37And it was brought to my attention that he was very likely to have attended the White House Historical Association.
01:44But I have. And so my question is, did knowing what happened at that time, have you had a conversation
01:51with her?
01:52Was there any inappropriate activity during that time? You know, at the time, nothing was known and nothing untoward occurred.
02:00And then there was no further contact with him. So I can't really speculate about about that further.
02:09You know, we can all agree. I think that Jeffrey Epstein was a monster, that he was empowered or enabled
02:15by Ghislaine Maxwell.
02:18I think we can all agree with that. Correct.
02:21I can't characterize their relationship. I think you can agree that he committed crimes.
02:26He was not fully held accountable for them, which could have stopped his predatory practices, perhaps, that continued for quite
02:34some time afterwards.
02:36And then he was finally indicted for serious crimes and he was in prison and then he mysteriously died.
02:43And with with her, she was, you know, finally indicted, tried and convicted.
02:50And I think you have to look at it in the chronological way in which it unfolded.
02:55Yeah, I think that there's varying degrees of culpability.
02:58She was certainly going beyond just being silent in her knowledge about the horrible acts that he was doing, but
03:04she was actually enabling it.
03:07That's what she was convicted of.
03:09That's right. But if she had not been enabling, if she had not been taking those steps, if she had
03:14just been silent.
03:15Are you asking her to speculate?
03:16I'm asking, would you would you agree that she would be culpable as well?
03:21Just in her silence.
03:23I have no information about that, so I'm not going to speculate.
03:27OK. All right. With that, I'm done.
03:32OK. Thank you.
03:33Thank you.
03:34Thank you.
03:34Next is representative.
03:36Could I, this is sort of like off subject, but didn't you all require in the latest defense authorization that
03:44the UFO information has to be?
03:47They ripped it out.
03:47What?
03:48They ripped it out. They killed it.
03:49Oh, I thought that had gone through.
03:51That was my amendment and it got ripped out.
03:53Oh, OK. Well, you've just, I didn't know that.
03:56So thank you for enlightening me.
03:57OK.
03:57Yeah, they've been killing us.
03:59Thank you.
04:00Thank you.
