00:00Qatar issued a stern warning
00:02to Iran on Tuesday saying it has crossed
00:04every red line and its attacks
00:06will not go without a response
00:07as it also poses a quote
00:09grave danger to international economies.
00:12Speaking to reporters,
00:13Qatar's foreign ministry says Iran did not just
00:16target military facilities, but the
00:18entire Qatari territory, including
00:20its Doha airport and natural gas
00:22facilities. Qatar also shot down
00:24two Iranian fighter jets who entered
00:26its airspace on Monday.
00:27The red lines have already been crossed.
00:29The attack on our sovereignty, the blatant
00:32attack on our people,
00:34on the security and safety
00:36of our nation
00:37has already crossed every possible red line.
00:41And therefore we have taken all possible measures
00:42and we reserve the right to
00:44retaliate. Dr. Majid
00:46Al-Ansari says there are currently no open
00:48lines of communication with Iran and he made
00:50it clear that retaliation is firmly on the
00:52table. He also stressed that Qatar is
00:54completely prepared with enough air
00:56defense missiles to deal with any
00:58attack. The attacks like these
01:00will not go unanswered and cannot go
01:02unanswered.
01:03And when
01:06Iran struck Qatar the first time
01:08in the span of the 12-day war,
01:11we said very clearly at that time
01:12that this will merit retaliation from
01:14outside and we reserve the right to retaliate.
01:16The only reason we did not retaliate at that
01:18time was because we prioritized
01:20regional security and
01:21the possibility of a ceasefire.
01:23But the fact that this is happening again
01:25right now and that our sovereignty
01:27has been
01:29challenged in this way
01:31means that this cannot go
01:33unanswered another time.
01:35Dr. Al-Ansari also says Iran's attack
01:38on Qatar's LNG facilities
01:40forced their temporary closure
01:41and posed a grave danger to
01:43international economies.
01:44Meanwhile, Qatar's airspace remains
01:46closed. More than 8,000 transit
01:48passengers are currently stranded and are
01:50being hosted inside the country.
