00:00You know, I'll go with Jorge Polanco.
00:01It's a lot of pressure on him replacing Alonzo.
00:04Polanco is learning a new position, which is a little bit of an issue.
00:08I think he'll be okay because he was a shortstop coming up.
00:11He's a good athlete.
00:12He can hit.
00:13The guy can really hit if he's healthy.
00:15He has been hit by the injury bug.
00:17You know, Alonzo played every single day,
00:19and he's not going to hit 40 home runs like Alonzo could hit.
00:22But this guy can hit, and if he's on the field, he will be very productive.
00:26But history tells us there's no guarantee there.
00:30I think the defense is really about that first and third,
00:33how these guys translate there.
00:35And because of that, I'm going to make my X factor Mark Vientos
00:38with the belief that at some point he's actually going to be
00:41the first baseman of this team.
00:42John, I think you're right on.
00:44I think Polanco is vital, and having his bat hitting cleanup every day is vital.
00:49And I think he probably has to be off of his feet a little bit.
00:51There's just been some lower body stuff that I think he'll need to be protected from.
00:55And if I were establishing an over-under,
00:58I would put it at about 110 for Polanco at first base,
01:01and then I'd go under.
01:03I think Vientos and Beatty are going to end up playing a lot of first base.
01:06How close to 2024 Vientos do the Mets get?
01:10That was a pretty special hitter, not only because the numbers were great,
01:13but the timeliness of it all was great.
01:15Is that guy still in there?
01:17If he is, to me, it's an X factor.
01:18It's transformative.
01:19That's a right out.
01:19You
