00:00Secretary of War Pete Hegseth is banning members of the military from getting an education at elite universities,
00:06ones like Princeton, Columbia, MIT, Brown, and Yale.
00:09For decades, the Ivy League and similar institutions have gorged themselves on a trust fund of American taxpayer dollars,
00:16only to become factories of anti-American resentment and military disdain.
00:21Hegseth, a Princeton University and Harvard Kennedy School graduate,
00:25went on to argue that schools like those were not about education, but indoctrination that teach, in his words, wokeness
00:33and weakness.
00:34The secretary says the list of banned institutions will include, quote, many others,
00:38and that this order will go into effect with the 2026-27 academic year.
00:43The secretary also promised to begin a top-down review of the department's military colleges like West Point and the
00:49U.S. Naval Academy
00:50to ensure that they are, quote, wholly dedicated to the singular mission of developing the most lethal and effective leaders
00:57and warfighters the world has ever known.
