In a dramatic escalation of Middle East conflict, Iran’s Armed Forces Chief of Staff, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, has been reported killed in joint airstrikes by the United States and Israel targeting senior Iranian leadership in Tehran. The strikes hit a defense council meeting and decimated top military officials, compounding the crisis after the confirmed death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei earlier in the offensive. Reports suggest multiple senior defense figures, including the defense minister and Revolutionary Guard commanders, are dead or missing in the ongoing campaign that has triggered widespread retaliation and fears of further regional conflict.
