Iran’s Defence Minister Aziz Amir Nasirzadeh and IRGC Commander General Mohammad Pakpour are reported to have been killed in coordinated U.S.-Israeli strikes, according to multiple sources cited by Reuters. Israeli assessments suggest that Pakpour, Nasirzadeh, and Iran’s chief of intelligence were likely eliminated during what some reports call “Operation Epic Fury,” which targeted military command centers and leadership compounds across Tehran. Satellite imagery shows extensive damage to strategic sites, with explosions reported in the capital and other key locations. Pakpour had led the IRGC for eight months, succeeding Hossein Salami, while Nasirzadeh had served as defence minister since August 2024.
