00:00I've been a regular coming here for like, I guess about 40 years.
00:05My daughter's wedding was here.
00:07My mother's 90th birthday was here.
00:10My daughter's 27th anniversary was here.
00:13And I'm absolutely devastated that it's closing.
00:18I'm absolutely heartbroken that it's closing.
00:21I have loved this place for so long.
00:24We were married here in 1997 and it's just...
00:27I know everybody here at the Byte.
00:29It's such a beautiful place and a big homeworld New York.
00:33When my daughter was eight, we came here on our wedding anniversary with my husband and
00:39his mother.
00:40Both my husband and his mother are gone now.
00:42And I've been wanting to bring Julia back here for dinner, but now she's at the University
00:48of Southern California.
00:50So that's part of what made me cry.
00:52I didn't even tell her yet that she'll be coming back in May.
00:56And the fact, I only discovered this week that it was closing.
01:00So it broke my heart.
01:03I got married here 20 years ago.
01:06And I have to say I'm a little emotional being here because I had all my uncles and aunts
01:13and all my relatives around me.
01:16And unfortunately, a lot of them have passed.
01:18But also, I just feel so strongly that how beautiful this restaurant is and the history.
01:25And it's a piece of New York and also a piece of my heart.
