Fresh controversy surrounds the deadly aircraft crash in El Alto after a victim’s relative accused the government of failing to implement proper safety measures.On February 28, a Bolivian Air Force Hercules aircraft carrying newly printed banknotes from the central bank crashed onto a busy avenue, killing 15 people and injuring nearly 30.The aircraft had departed from Santa Cruz de la Sierra and reportedly skidded off the runway in adverse weather conditions before crashing into vehicles along the road.As investigations continue, questions are being raised about aviation safety standards and operational procedures.
