00:49as I call it, because to build strong relations you need a Fevicol, and in this particular
00:56case the Fevicol is called Venu Babu Garu, and he's the reason why we're all sitting here.
01:04Ladies and gentlemen, it gives me great pleasure to be here today in this historical groundbreaking
01:12ceremony of Blue Jet Healthcare's Greenfield Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility here
01:18in Ramabili Industrial Park.
01:21The project represents a significant mindstone in industrial development of Uttarandhra and
01:28reinforces Andhra Pradesh's position as a preferred destination for advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing.
01:37Wherever I go, I give three clear reasons why you should consider Andhra Pradesh not as your
01:44next destination, but as your home.
01:47The first is speed of doing business.
01:51Blue Jet is a testimony to it.
01:54We had a conversation exactly 12 months back.
01:58It was an idea, and we are here today breaking ground.
02:04And this is not a project in isolation.
02:09If you look at it, once we shake hands on the way forward, it no longer is your project, it
02:15becomes our project.
02:17State plays a very important role in ensuring that it actually gets executed.
02:22We look at investors as partners and not as outsiders, and that is a commitment with which we are here
02:32in the state of Andhra Pradesh
02:33are able to deliver on the speed of doing business.
02:36Second is, of course, a proven track record of our leadership.
02:41You know, our Chief Minister, Mr. Naidu, requires no introduction.
02:45I keep telling him that people remember him only when tough times come.
02:50He is one of those rare politicians who has been given an opportunity to rewrite his legacy all over again.
02:57All of you have seen what he has done to Hyderabad, and he is doing that magic all over again
03:01here in our great state of Andhra Pradesh.
03:04The third reason is that Andhra Pradesh only has the double-engine bullet train Sarkar.
03:12A lot of states in India have double-engine Sarkar, but only Andhra Pradesh has the double-engine bullet train
03:19Sarkar.
03:20All of you know the word Namo.
03:23Namo means Narendra Modi ji.
03:26But here in Andhra Pradesh has a very different definition.
03:30Namo means Naidu ji and Modi ji together.
03:35And both of them together are driving the state.
03:39And that's why we are able to deliver projects at a pace that India has never seen.
03:46You know, behind every success story, it starts with the first step.
03:53And that first step happened at my home in Amravati, where my secretary came to me and told me,
04:02One Mr. Venu Babu from Mangaligiri wants to meet you.
04:07So I represent a constancy called Mangaligiri.
04:10It's a constancy that my party hasn't won since 1985.
04:15So I take any request from Mangaligiri quite seriously.
04:20So I might take time to meet my minister or my MP or my MLA, but a citizen of Mangaligiri
04:25has a green carpet.
04:27So naturally, I met, you know, Venu.
04:31And then he came and he introduced himself, he introduced the company.
04:36Then he told me that they are looking at a project, they want to expand, and why not Andhra Pradesh?
04:44Why can't we bring them here?
04:46So what started off, you know, conversation over a cup of coffee, you know, really caught our imagination.
04:54And when all of us have a collective goal to achieve, I think magic can happen.
05:00And that magic is what I call Blue Jet coming to here in Vishakapatnam.
05:08As the leadership of Blue Jet has shared, we are a transparent government.
05:15We deliver on our promise of speed of doing business.
05:18That is why here, we were able to deliver a 102 acre to Blue Jet.
05:25And I was talking to Shivan and I was telling him, this is no longer your largest project.
05:31This should be our only project, you should only expand here.
05:34And I offered to him that he should relocate to Vishakapatnam with his entire family.
05:41And I'll give him an analogy, why.
05:43If Bangalore were to marry Goa and have an offspring, that is Vishakapatnam.
05:48So we are best of both worlds.
05:50So you should really consider calling Vishakapatnam now your home.
05:55You know, this is a proposed investment here of 2300 crores.
06:00And it's not about the amount of money that's getting invested here.
06:05For me, it's the amount of jobs we are creating here.
06:08This investment in its lifetime will end up creating both direct and indirect, close to 2000 jobs.
06:15And it's going to be a critical part, a catalyst in creating a pharma ecosystem here in our state of
06:22Andhra Pradesh.
06:23And that's what really excites me.
06:25You know, as a state, I was sharing Vishakapatnam that, you know, we believe in the importance of creating clusters.
06:33As a state, we are creating close to now 22 clusters.
06:38In each of these clusters, we want to bring in the entire ecosystem.
06:44So a great example of this is pharma.
06:48And the idea is how can I get all the players of this ecosystem to come here?
06:53And how can I bring them all in a 100 kilometer radius?
06:56And that's what I call verticals.
06:58And horizontal is where my department plays a larger role, which is education, skilling.
07:04And then how do we bring in certification agencies, testing agencies and create a tight ecosystem?
07:10So I think one thing we all have to accept is we are tired of hearing success stories from outside
07:17India.
07:17It is time for India to show the way for the world.
07:21It is time for us to rewrite history together.
07:24And this is a classic example where the private sector, the political system, the bureaucracy, if we come together, we
07:33can rewrite history and create legacy.
07:38And that's what really excites us here in Andhra Pradesh.
07:43You know, our government is young.
07:47We are 20 months into our term.
07:49But I'm really excited to share that we have attracted 25.3% of India's investment to Andhra Pradesh.
07:57So if 100 rupees is getting invested in India, 25.3 rupees is coming to Andhra Pradesh.
08:04And that's what sets us apart from the rest of the country.
08:07And North Andhra is where we are.
08:10North Andhra is our economic hub.
08:14The greater Vishakapatnam economic region is expected to contribute to a trillion dollar to the state economy.
08:21And here we are really excited to make this the cluster for pharma and bulk drug, medical equipment manufacturing, petrochemical
08:29and downstream industries, advanced manufacturing, information technology.
08:35And needless to say, it's also going to be a data city, not for India, but for the world.
08:41And that's where Vishakapatnam is going to play a very important role in our growth story.
08:46And we're really excited to have Blue Jet here.
08:48And I'd like to reiterate, this is just the beginning of our journey.
08:53For us, it's all about relations.
08:56It's all about building things together.
08:59It's all about scripting history together.
09:02If you look at the kind of mandate that people of Andhra Pradesh have given our government, it's historic.
09:08In the last election, we have won 94% of the seats that we contested together.
09:15So this is history.
09:1750% of our legislatures are first-timers.
09:2017 out of 25 ministers are first-timers.
09:23So we bring in raw energy, raw passion to create history.
09:28So I'd like to thank Blue Jet for being part of creating this history together.
09:32And rest assured, you know that I'm only one WhatsApp message away.
09:37If there's anything, any time that we can do, any issue that is taking more than 24 hours to resolve,
09:43I am there.
09:44I am one message away.
09:45And you have my number, Shivyan.
09:47So we're all in it together.
09:53And I, of course, come having specific asks from you.
09:59The first task is, let's build a world-class education system around pharma.
10:06Starting from chemical engineering to research and development, I think players like you can come together.
10:13And my dream is the ISB model, where the private sector led it, but the state government can play a
10:20catalytic role in terms of land creating a policy framework.
10:24Creating that kind of a world-class ecosystem is going to be very critical.
10:28And I'll lean on to you to help us build that entire ecosystem here.
10:33The second specific ask I have is to create local employment.
10:38Our youngsters are very well educated.
10:40Our youngsters are here.
10:42They work exceptionally hard.
10:44If you talk to all your peer group here, they will vouch for their hard work, their commitment, and their
10:50willingness to deliver whatever is being asked from them.
10:53So I request you to focus more on creating local jobs and creating a vibrant ecosystem here in Vishakapatnam.
11:02And the last but not least, it's important that we all work together.
11:06It's important that we build this vibrant cluster.
11:11We have to compete.
11:13We live in a global economy.
11:15Today, the world is looking at competitive areas where they can manufacture.
11:20If we have to survive and thrive in that kind of ecosystems, the cluster-based model is going to be
11:26very important to us.
11:28And I'm looking forward to working with you in building that ecosystem here in Vishakapatnam.
11:34And in conclusion, I would like to congratulate the entire BlueJet team for being here, for your trust in Andhra
11:43Pradesh.
