00:12Why would somebody want to be a sister?
00:16It's hard to answer on anything but a personal level.
00:19I know why I would want to be a sister.
00:21It's because things will eventually fade.
00:25Things break.
00:26They don't fulfill.
00:27For a moment, they fulfill, and then it's emptiness again.
00:31You get a new toy, and then, you know, even as a sister, you get a new pair of shoes,
00:36and that's pretty exciting.
00:37But they get dirty, and they wear, and all of this passes away.
00:41And I think for me, the reason why is because I'm living for eternity, and I can start that now.
01:00It's really funny because when I'm outside of the convent, when I go on home visit or different things like
01:05that, they'll say,
01:06Sister Carrie Ann is so joyful.
01:09I just see the joy radiating from her face.
01:11And I'm not really doing anything special or, you know, like it just comes forth, you know.
01:18And it's something that's really hard to explain to people.
01:23Like, how do you gain it?
01:24How do you gain this joy?
01:25How do you gain this peace, you know?
01:27And really, it's just sitting before our Lord and allowing Him to love you.
01:32So it's just something very simple.
01:43Very simply, I can say, there's just, there's something inside of me or anyone who's called to religious life that
01:51I can't exactly describe it.
01:55But it's the fact that it's a mystery, and it's the mystery of God.
02:01And sometimes when you say, well, how do people fall in love and stay in love and live the lives
02:07that they do,
02:09I can just say that for myself, and people say, well, why did you do this?
02:14How did you really decide to become a sister?
02:19And I can just say that I listen to the beat of my heart, and it's God who beats within
02:25me.
02:25And that's where I find my source.
02:29That's where He's my lifeline.
02:31And anything else wouldn't be as real, wouldn't be as full for me.
02:37So that's how I know that this is the life for me.
