00:31Lord, I know the coming days are going to be hard for me.
00:35Yasmin, we've got two less for lunch.
00:37You give me the strength to face them.
00:40And Winston, well, Winston's not feeling...
00:43You're by my side.
00:44I still made as much green fig salad as usual.
00:47Always gets eaten.
00:48Oh, Sylvie sweetheart, I'm so sorry.
00:52We didn't disturb you, did we?
00:54No, just saying a quick prayer.
00:56Oh, please don't tell me you got the whole church ready on your own.
00:59I don't mind. I enjoy it.
01:01Yeah, but I told him to be here to help.
01:15So, I think I know what you're going to say.
01:18Despite me specifically asking you...
01:20To arrive early and help Mrs. Godwin with the church.
01:23Well, I'm sorry. I promise it will never happen again.
01:27It will.
01:27I mean, yes. It's very probable.
01:29So, are you going to make it to the service?
01:37Um...
01:37Well, I will try my best.
01:41Cha-cha.
01:53Cha-cha.
01:54Cha-cha.
01:55Cha-cha.
02:39I'm going to nip home and grab the food.
02:42Is Seb still not here?
02:44You're going to be okay setting up for lunch?
02:46I'll be fine.
02:48Okay.
02:52Today's collection, Pastor.
02:54I'll go and finish tidy up in here, then I'll head over to your place.
02:58I'll see you soon, Sylvie.
03:16Hello?
03:22Hello?
03:23Is somebody dead?
03:35Okay, everybody.
03:37Come and sit down.
03:40Oh, that boy has a six cents.
03:42You can't get him to come to church on time, but dish up some food, and there he is.
03:47What a feast.
03:48Looks like I timed it just right.
03:50Can't wait to dig in.
03:51I'm dead for hungry.
03:53Miss Celie, mama, you all good?
03:57Nice to see you, sir.
03:58Right, come everybody, sit down.
04:02Wait.
04:04Sylvie's not here.
04:05Don't tell me she's still at the church.
04:09Yes, sir.

10:36was her family that's the truth she had been coming to saint vincent since before i was born
10:44she was christened here she got married here she and she never missed a single sunday service in
10:50all of her life pastor i came straight over thank you for coming hector oh
10:59i called hector and told him the news he was very close to sylvie she was his school teacher many
11:05years ago victimize john wilson yes thomas
11:15so mrs godwin was a teacher saint vincent primary school i took over from her as headmistress when
11:21she retired and you kept in touch with her always the things you did for me as a kid above
11:29and beyond
11:34you know in what way she kept an eye on me because my parents didn't sylvie and walter
11:42her husband they never had kids themselves hector met the world tour that's why this just can't be true
11:50that woman had nothing but good in her
11:56well if you think of anything you let us know yeah
12:13you can go and rest your feet man i'll clear all this up you want to make your herbal tea
12:18after a day
12:19like today all i want is for you to pour me a run a large one all right christmas room
12:26coming out early
12:27this year seb your inspector is he usually right about this kind of thing 99.9 of the time
12:38so someone did murder sylvie but who i don't know but couldn't have been anybody at the church right
12:48so maybe sylvie had things going on in her life that we don't know about but mom i promise you
12:56whatever
12:57it is we'll figure it out all right
13:05i know this hasn't played out how we expected but i had to do what i had to do
13:11no i'm not coming back yet not until i've got what i came for
13:32finish your breakfast
13:41you're welcome
13:52oh commissioner you made me jump good morning inspector good morning this arrived for me in the
14:00morning post
14:04it's from your victim
14:09missus godwin saw me on the local news covering the recent police initiative event she said she
14:17could tell i wanted to put things right and that's what she also needed to do right or wrong but
14:25she
14:25didn't say what that was only that whatever it was was of a criminal nature and had something to do
14:32with saint prince's church there is a dark secret that has been buried for too long
14:38and it's time the truth came out
14:42it was posted on saturday morning
14:47and 24 hours later she was dead
14:53this gets more interesting by the minute how much is it mrs gordon's bank account two million four
14:59hundred and sixty three thousand dollars what you sure about that like seriously seriously well new
15:08primary school head teachers earn so much i requested statements that go further back all i have is the
15:14last five years and the money was already in the accounts the victim's husband walter is it what
15:20did he do for a living mr walter godwin he was a caretaker at the same school that mrs godwin
15:24worked
15:25at i think that's where they first met so suddenly to be his money do we know anything about her
15:30family
15:30yeah mrs godwin told me once her parents were farmers they definitely weren't rich so she didn't
15:36inherit it could the money have something to do with the crime she talks about in this letter the one
15:41connected to
15:41saint vincent's officer rose give your mom a call see if it sparks a memory or something yeah cool but
15:48all of this is a bit odd because it's nothing like mrs godwin i mean two million dollars that's crazy
15:54she wasn't that kind of person once we're done here we're gonna go and search mrs godwin's house
16:00also we've emailed everyone on the saint vincent's weekly newsletter to see if any of the parishioners
16:05are anything suspicious yesterday okay thank you sir that was the solicitor handling sylvie godwin's
16:13will it seems mrs godwin has left everything to hector moyce oh so this guy's just become a millionaire
16:24it appears so sir what do we know about him he's a fisherman or was but he hasn't worked for
16:31the last
16:3118 months or so due to an injury out at sea so if he's had no income for almost two
16:39years then then
16:40two million is gonna come in very handy
16:47i don't know either it's all a bit crazy right now mom i'll speak to you later i got to
16:52go i'll leave
16:53you to his inspector no worries commissioner sir i just got off the phone to my mother and she has
16:59no
16:59idea what sylvia godwin was talking about in that letter well if if anything else comes to mind you
17:03let me know yeah all right where are they going to interview hector moyes he's a possible suspect now
17:11hector a suspect he's a good guy he wouldn't kill anybody let alone sylvie godwin she was like a
17:18mother to him well these are the questions we have to ask it's what we do without fear or favor
17:23remember
17:29that used to be my boat there spent more time together me and her than anyone else
17:38and then some doctor you don't even know writes a certificate saying you can do it no more
17:46well how are your finances now you're not working i'm struggling all right no one wants to employ a guy
17:53who only knows how to do one thing in his life yeah but that will change this now doesn't it
17:59excuse
17:59me what mr moyes you inherit the bulk of sylvie godwin's estate and don't tell us you didn't know
18:06her solicitor told us mrs godwin informed you when she made the will a few years back yeah i knew
18:11but
18:12she got hardly nothing just our house which is a few tens of thousands you think i'd kill for that
18:17you're telling us she didn't let you know what was in her will no why
18:24it's more than just her house 2.4 million dollars more
18:29i'm sorry what
18:32is this a joke funny how things turn out yeah i didn't know she had that kind of money i
18:37swear to
18:38you she never mentioned a word to me about it look i get it i get how it looks to
18:43you i need money
18:44badly i'm desperate but i had no idea sylvie was loaded like that so why would i kill her
18:58sarge found some kind of time machine in mrs godwin's office oh it's a computer
19:07uh have you done those it no not yet okay you do that and i'll do this cool
19:17well it seems to be working so i noticed your dad wasn't around yesterday
19:23if you don't mind me asking is he yeah he um he passed away i'm so sorry how old were
19:33you
19:3511 11. that's so young it must have been hard
19:41really hard you know yeah my first lesson in pain but seeing my mother rise up every morning after
19:51that that showed me what true love looks like you know made us closer a team you can tell
20:09the bell shot dipty you know what a diptyc is yeah it's um used to measure oil in the car
20:17you know
20:17you dip it in take your toe i said dipty you're trying to say dipstick right diptyc a painting or
20:25carving on two panels usually hinge like a book oh you mean diptyc yeah man you know about diptyc and
20:32them thing yeah well apparently this bell shot diptyc is rare priceless kind of rare yeah
20:40why was sylvie interested in this
20:45let's check her search history
20:52why watch her she searched the hell out of it this was three days ago friday the day before she
20:59posted
21:00that letter to the commissioner
21:06the bell shot diptych is a rare french panel painting from the middle ages each panel measures
21:1250 by 30 centimeters rare so it's worth some coinage it's worth major coinage if anybody could find it
21:19it went missing from france during the second world war and here it is it's believed the diptych was taken
21:26from a museum in paris by a young german soldier called joseph krauss they reckon he brought that
21:32same painting over here to the caribbean when the vichy government sends a new governor to martini
21:38krauss and a couple of other german soldiers accompanied him and what happened to it when he
21:43came here boy jano but joseph krauss he fled the region when the war finished and the painting never
21:51resurfaced and some historians believe that krauss hid the belshaw diptych on one of the smaller
21:56neighboring islands like saint marie right so our victim was looking into this belshaw diptych and the
22:06next day sent a letter to the commissioner saying she wanted to put right a wrong that took place many
22:11years before at st vincent's church and 24 hours later sylvie was murdered in the church with both doors
22:17locked from the inside she also had over two million dollars in her bank account and we've
22:23no idea how she got that money but if she came into possession of this painting then maybe that could
22:29explain why she ended up so rich okay let's keep digging yeah and ds thomas get in touch with the
22:39commissioner because if there's any truth in it this could be a big deal
22:55everything all right
23:00it's just like first hector then mrs godwin
23:05it's all it's all it's all a bit much right now
23:10sylvie was all about doing the right thing you should have said so no because it's like you said
23:16right without fear or favor so it's not right me defending her is it even if i know it's the
23:22truth
23:24sab if this case is too close to home it's okay to take a step back no it's cool sarge
23:30it's cool i
23:31i really want to help get to the bottom of this facility yeah sure yeah all right then i'll see
23:38you tomorrow morning yeah all right take care of yourself
23:47all right thanks for letting me know mrs martin you have yourself a good evening
23:54sir that was one of the parishioners from st vincent's received the email we sent out asking
24:00if anyone saw anything suspicious yesterday says she saw a woman outside the church yesterday morning
24:06parked up in a hire car never seen her at st vincent's before description it was a silver vehicle with
24:13logos for cariba car hire the woman looked in her 50s with shoulder length blonde hair not much of a
24:21tan
24:21woman apparently so with the higher car maybe not a local yeah it's me again so who is she i'm
24:29telling
24:29you the police haven't found it yet i watched two officers leaving her house both of them carrying evidence
24:34and they didn't have it with them
24:37so where's it got to i know a little of the history of the belshort dictate but how or why
24:44that connects to
24:45sylvie godwin i don't know what i shall ask around evening all um sorry i'm late i had a prior
24:57arrangement with a bloke called barry who might i ask is barry it's funny you should ask that well barry
25:04is a retired expat who's returning to the uk to be with his grandchildren so he's selling off a bunch
25:09of
25:09stuff online so i got myself this beauty and what is that sir this is the answer to catherine's prayers
25:18not that she knows yet what is the answer to my prayer oh catherine well it's the one thing that's
25:25missing from your place oh it's a dartboard i can see that you see the thing is dominos is all
25:42well
25:42and good but for a boozer to be a proper boozer but this is not a boozer pub or a
25:49pub but whatever this
25:50establishment wants to call itself with this on your wall it can only enhance the communal vibe
25:57no we're not an english-themed sports bar it's not going up yeah but catherine i said no just imagine
26:05mervyn my final word no no
26:21it seems you are now the proud owner of your very own dartboard
26:36all of it much to me right now in the moment you know i know it is my love i
26:40know
26:45whoa mom what's this oh what huh seb sweetheart this isn't um
26:53seb you you you weren't supposed to good evening sebastian you all right me are you all right what's
27:00this huh what's going on because it look like what are you i i i i i guess you could
27:06say we've
27:06we've been getting close the two of us right since when well um since i suppose since um
27:16what would you see a lorette how long's it been i suppose we could say um it's been
27:22a year a year a year ma and you never once thought to mention it to me oh hector i'm
27:30so sorry could
27:30you could you give us a moment please i need to be getting home anyway sir sorry you had to
27:37find out
27:37like this like this semester i should have we should have too
27:45sorry
27:57i wanted to tell you but i i was too scared of how i'd react no so then what
28:08see it is because of that no no really it's not that a whole year ma a whole year you've
28:15been lying
28:16to me you know in the last 24 hours it turns out not one person is who i thought they
28:27were
28:30but i never thought you would be one of them
28:35i need some air
28:55good morning inspector yes tomas inheritance oh well i mean okay that's interesting
29:04all right well thanks and also i wanted to know so when was what oh one second sir
29:13good morning inspector sarge sarge what's going on sir well i went on a walk last night and i ended
29:20up here so i thought i'd come and start on the case can we oh yes sure sorry sorry yes
29:28sir sir oh
29:31no sir oh sorry yes yes come on yes so um i'm just on the phone with uh sylvie godwin's
29:37bank manager
29:38and interestingly the 2.4 million in her account she inherited it from her husband walter godwin uh
29:44the bank manager says she don't know where he got it from or how walter got so rich it was
29:49walter's money
29:50yeah and unfortunately the liar who was handling water's will is no longer around so that's all i
29:56got why is there a post-it with post-mortem exclamation mark written on it oh uh the post-mortem
30:01just
30:02came in it's here somewhere got it under the takeaway i will clear that up for you as soon as
30:07possible
30:08sarge sorry about that why is there a pack of toilet roll on my desk that's why i went for
30:12the walk in the
30:13first place my my new host mate was i don't forget the toilet roll pm says the victim became unconscious
30:20and died of hypoxia and reckon she was hit with something with a sharp edge rather than banging
30:26her head on the floor so we're right it was murder what are all these printouts on the floor
30:32sir oh that's from uh kariba car hire they sent the details of the woman who was seen outside
30:37st vincent church the morning of the murder selena bascombe 54 years old from the uk berkshire arrived
30:45here friday and is staying at the golden bay hotel yeah i think she's just a tourist there's nothing
30:50interesting about her yet well then you didn't look properly said because on her passport she uses her
30:56maiden name godwin as in sylvie and walter godwin how did i miss that we need to talk to her
31:06right away
31:07talking fletcher yeah sorry about that hello hello
31:29seb this is cool you're trying to move the case on but your head is pinging around all over the
31:35place
31:35it's close to chaos in there i understand what it looks like sarge but i've been up all night
31:40doing a lot of work and i feel like i'm very close to you should go home okay have a
31:45shower get yourself
31:46straight but sarge i need to finish i know i know but you're not helping right now we can't work
31:52like
31:55this all right sarge cool thanks for coming in miss bascom please take a seat walter godwin was my
32:11grandfather he was stationed on saint marie during the second world war when the war ended he wrote to
32:19my grandmother who was pregnant with my father at the time saying that he wasn't coming home that it
32:26was over between them and he knew she was pregnant yes except i don't think it was him who wrote
32:34that
32:34letter i think it was someone else um i found this on the saint vincent's church website it's the day
32:42that's walter godwin got married to sylvie well that's sylvie but that's not walter godwin that
32:51that's not my grandfather see that's not the same man
33:01so you realized that someone might have stolen your grandfather's identity i know they did
33:09and you came here to saint marie to find out who this other walter godwin was that's why you were
33:15at
33:15the church sunday morning to speak with sylvie godwin
33:22mrs godwin
33:27so how did she react when you suggested that the man who she'd been married to for 60 odd years
33:32may not
33:33be who she thought he was she already knew she said that she'd only just found out herself that week
33:43how well her her plumber had found a box hidden under the floorboards when he was fixing a pipe
33:49i'll find out which plumber sylvie said it had the true identity of her husband in it all his personal
33:56documents making clear what happened to my grandfather which was what she wouldn't tell
34:04me she said that she wasn't ready yet and that she wanted to do it in her own time and
34:11in her own way
34:13whatever that meant i think it meant she wanted to go to the police first about it which must have
34:21frustrated you coming all this way to be denied the truth it is my family you have no right to
34:26keep
34:26this to yourself sorry i can't help you
34:33and in that moment caught up in it all that's when you must have decided no no i wouldn't really
34:38i
34:39wouldn't i i just left i was angry but i didn't want to hurt her i just wanted to know
34:45what was in
34:45that box and now she's dead and i don't know where it is
34:59so if sylvie had this box she talked about where is it because it wasn't at the crime scene and
35:07it
35:07wasn't at her house and if someone did steal water godwin's identity who and what happened to the real
35:13water godwin i just got off the phone with a plumber who was over at the victim's house last friday
35:18said sylvie looked haunted after she looked inside that box
35:26about an hour later she was getting inside a taxi saying she needed to go to saint vincent's primary
35:32school
35:35she went to see yasmin seeley
35:42okay i'm gonna lay out miss seeley i believe it's you who has the missing box sylvie's we could get
35:49a search warrant or
36:07it's a german passport
36:11from the second world war looks like belong to joseph krauss
36:15it's believed the diptych was taken from a museum in paris by a young german soldier
36:21called joseph krauss the last visas i'm sure he left martinique at the end of the war and came to
36:26saint
36:26marie
36:31saint marie times september 27th 1945. it's a report about an unnamed british soldier getting into a fight
36:40with a group of german naval officers and left for dead near saint vincent's church his body was never
36:47found i believe that soldier was walter godwin and i think joseph krauss came across his body
36:55joseph realized he could steal his identity if he could dispose of the body without it being found
37:03a map of the saint vincent churchyard
37:07that must be where the real walter godwin was buried he took walter's uniform and papers and buried
37:14him there in this grave so no one would ever find it from that moment on joseph krauss was
37:20walter godwin i guess he softened his accent as much as he could and by the time he and sylvie
37:26met
37:26about 15 years later and he seemed like the englishman she thought he was we need to get a
37:31forensic victim over from godaloo
37:38i'm assuming mr krauss went to all these lengths because of this
37:44the belshaw diptych i mean if the authorities worked out he stole it and came looking for him
37:49then with a new identity they wouldn't find him from what i know he lived a simple life working as
37:55a
37:55caretaker for this school and when he and sylvie met everyone always said they truly loved each
38:02other that was the day she retired handed the baton over to me
38:11why have you got this box miss silly
38:15sylvie brought it with her when she came here on friday i asked her if i could keep it so
38:19i could look
38:20into it some more that's all it's entirely innocent not if you didn't tell us about it isn't actually
38:26that's suspicious why did you choose to keep it to yourself
38:34this school is everything to me
38:38and i can't risk his reputation being damaged
38:42it's struggling enough as it is financially all we have to keep going is donations people's goodwill
38:49and if it ever got out that we had a caretaker working here that wasn't who we thought he was
38:55was a a nazi soldier who covered up a murder
39:01so you killed miss godwin to stop all this no no no i'm very sorry i should have told you
39:07about it i know but
39:10i didn't kill her
39:19so if joseph krauss sold the belshar diptych and had all that money then why he never do nothing with
39:27it never spend it nothing perhaps he kept it just in case i mean if the truth ever caught up
39:33with him
39:34then he had the means to change his identity again afternoon sergeant thomas
39:43the trouble is we're still no closer to working out who murdered sylvie godwin
39:48and then managed to exit the building when both the front and back door were locked from the inside
39:54with keys inside the lock
39:58he's buried here my grandfather we believe so yes
40:22officer rose inspector hey um sorry i'll just uh take in a moment you know
40:33i'll give you some space no no no no you're all right i was just coming in to see if
40:38i could
40:38make any more sense of it all me too i guess and not much
40:47usually i find it levels me out i can feel peace here
40:56no sorry i haven't been much used in this investigation it's just been a lot for me you
41:00know i mean look we all have cases that um throw us off balance from time to time when i've
41:06had more
41:06than my fair share trust me right see when i'm thrown by a kiss my brain just starts jumping around
41:16like
41:16some itchy footed grasshopper you know well maybe that is your unique selling point so i'd say embrace it
41:31own it don't let it own you in fact you know what let's try it let's try it right now
41:38yeah
41:38oh we visualize it only this time you are taking the lead okay come on up you get that's it
41:50okay this is the crime scene the murder of sylvie godwin
41:55that door the front door is locked from the inside the keys in the door
42:04sylvie's body is here
42:08this big wooden cross is on top of her
42:14now come on just freestyle it yeah just say whatever your brain wants to say
42:20um i'm thinking about when i busted the door open
42:24i hurt mom you know uh when i got home it was all bruised up so
42:28i drank some rum to numb the pain
42:33what that also means it was definitely locked
42:40okay okay what else well then if you were the killer you'll probably prefer to leave the scene
42:48at the back yeah yeah keep going keep going so that way you're less likely to be seen by others
42:52so um
42:53maybe we're in the wrong room the back room come on
43:08so what's she saying to you this room what was it telling you
43:16what collection box it's just usually it sits right there under the shelf
43:23now it looks like it's been pulled out of the cupboard
43:32there's a kind in it and that's odd because because miss godwin empties the collection box every sunday after the
43:39service
43:41today's collection pasta and she gives the money to my mom
43:49so this must have been put in there after she was murdered which means well then the killer must have
43:55put it there
43:58that won't go in
44:01the key's in on the other side
44:06p.m says the victim became unconscious and reckoned she was hit by something with a sharp edge
44:13diptych a painting or a carving on two panels usually hinge like a book
44:18local art historians generally believe it was brought to saint marie
44:29bingo
44:32have you solved the case it was actually officer rose and his itchy footy grass upper brain that solved it
44:38i did that coin explains everything okay let's move people there's still some things we need to do
44:45like get hold of a search warrant and we need the luminol oh and we need a tape measure why
44:51do we need a
44:52tape measure to measure something
45:02way back in 1945 a young british soldier by the name of walter godwin was killed here on saint marie
45:10his identity was stolen and his body was hidden in someone else's grave now finally thanks to
45:19sylvie godwin and the discovery of this box that young man can get the proper burial he deserves
45:26thank you which brings us to the crime in the present sylvie godwin's murder at st vincent's church
45:34on sunday and although it occurred many years after walter godwin's murder this little wooden
45:39box and its contents helped solve this murder as well we know from the post-mortem that sylvie was hit
45:47with a sharp object this spray luminal it takes traces of blood and this proves that there was blood on
45:54a box recently as you can see here now we have another time to carry out the relevant tests but
46:05when our lab compares this blood with sylvie's i'm confident they'll match and as this box has only been
46:11in one person's possession since the murder it has led me to believe that sylvie godwin's killer was
46:20yasmin seeley what have you done that's not true someone else must have taken it on them
46:32don't worry miss seeley we'll be coming to this in a minute
46:38throughout this case we've worked on the assumption that sylvie godwin's husband real name joseph
46:44krauss had sold the painting he had stolen which explains why he had so much money in his bank
46:50account well it's half the truth because the unique defining thing about a diptych is that there are
46:57two halves to it diptych a painting or a carving on two panels usually hinge like a book and we
47:04now know
47:05that joseph krauss sold only one half of the belshaw diptych
47:11and he kept the other half
47:20witness me now we'll never fully know why joseph separated the two panels my sense is that he was
47:29someone who liked to hedge his bets be prepared for all eventualities i think that's partly why he never
47:36spent any of the money plus having to explain to his wife to be how he came into such major
47:42coinage
47:43would mean admitting to the theft of this famous piece of art and also being an imposter so joseph
47:50held on the wall of the headmistress's office at the saint vincent's primary school which is now
48:06your office miss sealy joseph cross must have put it there during his years as caretaker and no one
48:17ever thought anything of it this faded religious icon hanging on the wall of a church school surrounded by
48:25other religious images earlier today miss sealy when we talked in your office that was the day she
48:32retired i saw that framed photo on the wall of sylvie and walter and i happened to notice the outline
48:39of a larger rectangle around that frame where the paint hadn't faded clearly another picture had previously
48:46hung there for some time i didn't think much of it at first but i had it measured and guess
48:53what it was
48:5450 centimeters by 30 centimeters the exact same dimensions as one half of the bell shaw dipped in
49:02each panel measures 50 by 30 centimeters that's why mrs godwin came to see you when she found the box
49:10and realized what was hanging on her old office wall we can't keep it i go and let the police
49:18know
49:19but you didn't agree did you you told us your school was struggling for money but we had a bit
49:27of a
49:27dig and it's it's worse than that you've not drawn a salary in the last six months to keep it
49:35going you
49:36said yourself the place meant so much to you and so the prospect of getting millions of dollars just
49:43landing in your lap well you just weren't willing to give that up and so after driving home to pick
49:52up food for lorette's lunch gathering you returned to the church to plead with sylvie one more time
49:59please don't do it that money it could help the school so much could help me so he wasn't for
50:07turning
50:07was she i'm desperate as officer rose said she always tried to do good in life and she wasn't
50:14about to stop now sorry so in that moment desire for the money got the better of you and you
50:20decided
50:21you were going to stop her i assume sylvie had that box with her in the church that day
50:26and this box was your weapon of choice
50:32and once you used it to kill her you made it look like there'd been some tragic accident
50:44how could you
50:48now knowing that the front door of the church had already been locked by mrs godwin
50:53you made your escape via the rear using the church's spare back door key
50:58that you took from the back room to lock the door from the outside and placing
51:05this little coin in the lock
51:14it's locked so that when you returned with officer rose and lorette that won't go in
51:20and with the little play acting it would seem like the door was locked from the inside
51:25the keys in on the other side then when officer rose and his mom headed round to the front you
51:30lingered
51:31briefly and proceeded to open the door with the church's spare key pushing this coin out in the
51:37process and then inserting that key inside
51:44all you had to do was find a moment to actually lock it okay thank you
51:50ambulance is honestly
51:53the coin on the back door with the key
51:59and without your bag or purse
52:03you disposed of it in the collection box
52:08and then actually locked the back door with the key
52:15it was very clever of you making it look like sylvie was on her own in the church when she
52:20had that fatal fall
52:22one might say devilishly so
52:26but you see sylvie was so determined that the truth would come out that even after her death
52:31her desire to put right a decades old wrong finally won out this arrived for me in the morning post
52:46i think this arrest has your name on it
52:53get up
52:56it has been a silly i'm arresting you for the murder of sylvie godwin
53:01you don't need to say anything
53:02you don't need to tell me how many things if you don't mention christian something
53:11excuse me serge i'll do a second
53:20mom
53:26you all right
53:29i can't believe what that woman's done poor sylvie
53:36and just for money
53:39i'm sorry for getting it wrong no you haven't seen me at my best on this case that's not what
53:46your
53:46inspector told me he said it was because of you that it all got solved which is even more impressive
53:55considering you had other things to deal with like your mother keeping secrets
54:01and honestly mom i think it's helping you moving on i don't think you should be getting old and lonely
54:08and just focusing on me and the church you know you deserve happiness too
54:17you all right yes i
54:23so you like him
54:27then i'm pleased for you
54:29but you do know that all that money he inherited from the stolen painting you won't be getting none of
54:35that you know i'm not asking for his money well seriously though i mean he seems like a good guy
