00:00To Puan Naima Abdul Khalid on Friday dismissed claims that she is involved in a plot to topple
00:05the government as false and laughable. The widow of the late former finance minister Tundaym Zainuddin
00:10said the allegations, reportedly made by a disgruntled former communications team member,
00:16came as a surprise and were motivated by his failed demands for money. Naima questioned the
00:20timing of the police report, noting that it was filed seven months after she met the individual
00:26and amid renewed allegations involving the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission.
00:32She described it as an attempt to divert attention from calls to remove MACC Chief Commissioner
00:38Tansri Azambaki. In response to an earlier statement by MACC on its tracking down on Naima's children
00:46to help with its investigation into a case, their lawyers rejected MACC's claims that the four
00:52could not be located. They said the family has been represented by counsel, remained in contact
00:58with MACC and had already received notices to attend interviews on March 11. They accused MACC
01:04of acting recklessly by releasing personal details, saying that the family is considering legal action.
