00:01Progress in the Champions League has become a defining chapter in the modern rise of Newcastle
00:06United, offering clear evidence that the club's long-term project is beginning to deliver on the
00:12biggest stage. Four supporters who spent years hoping simply for stability, seeing their side
00:18compete deep into Europe, now carries both symbolic and practical importance.
00:24Under the guidance of Eddie Howe, Newcastle have developed a reputation for intensity,
00:29structure and belief. Those traits have translated well into continental football,
00:34where discipline and control often decide ties.
00:38You get to the last 16, I think nothing was given to us at the start of this Champions League
00:45run that
00:46we've been on. I think I love the new format. I think it's a really, really good thing. I think
00:50you get to see individual teams and you then get to move on to another one. We've really enjoyed it.
00:56And then coming to the sort of the pressure games, the doubleheader, I think we've navigated that
01:00really well because it's a tough, I don't care who you play at this stage, it's a tough draw. And
01:04we did the majority of the work in the away game. We've come through really well. And today we were
01:10able to rotate our squad to a degree and with mixed success, I think. I don't think it was a
01:15great
01:15performance, but really pleased that we won.
01:18Their run in the UEFA Champions League has also reinforced the sense that Newcastle are building
01:23something sustainable rather than chasing short-term success. Squad depth, tactical flexibility and a
01:30growing level of experience among the players have allowed the club to balance domestic demands while
01:36still competing strongly in Europe.
01:41Yeah, well, I think that's the great thing now in our season. There's a positive feel that whoever we get
01:46in the next round will be an amazing tie for us.
01:50I believe that we can raise our game and compete with anybody. That's what we're going to have to do
01:54whoever we get.
01:55But I just think it's a massive thing for us to give our season an extra boost to get through
02:01this knockout phase and then into the next one.
02:04Really rise to whatever challenge we've had in front of us. So I think we'll have to go in with
02:09that mindset again and whoever we get in the next round.
02:12Then the challenge for us is now returning back to the Premier League is to build some consistency in our
02:17performance in our
02:19and our way of playing. I think we've had a really good run. I think today's the poorest performance we've
02:24had in the last group.
02:26For how guiding a team through the pressure and expectations of Champions League nights is a different challenge and the
02:33progress made so far strengthens his standing within the game.
02:38The bottom line, well, European momentum boosts confidence, enhances the club's reputation across the continent and helps attract future talent.
02:47For the Magpies, this journey is not just about one season. It signals the club increasingly comfortable among Europe's heavyweights,
02:54something they are hoping to continue.
02:57There are some different events on and everything else to deliver anément together.
02:57And an example here we already know schools are prepared.
02:58There is plenty of work performance the perfect performance of Champions League is rooted in which we hope to be.
