00:01I don't care what any player ever accomplishes,
00:05they could be a champion and a Hall of Famer,
00:07but when they talk about things that they accomplished
00:09in their basketball career,
00:11everybody's gonna mention being
00:12the McDonald's High School All-American.
00:16This really is my one way out.
00:18Without basketball, I wouldn't be where I am right now.
00:20The number one event to evaluate kids' pre-draft
00:23is the McDonald's All-American games.
00:24If you shined in the McDonald's All-American game,
00:27there was a path to the NBA.
00:31Like, I worked hard,
00:33and then when I felt like I couldn't work no more,
00:35I worked some more.
00:39You just heard about, people read about them,
00:41the haters, the critics, we were all good.
00:43Those guys were supreme.
00:45The most star-studded night in high school basketball is back.
00:54I was just told that we're going five more minutes,
00:57because there must be somebody out here,
00:58they want to take a good look at.
01:00You know, you talk to God, you question him.
01:03You wonder why.
01:05But then things like this happen.
01:07When you get that invite to play in that game,
01:10you tell yourself the first thing,
01:12I'm going to the league.
01:13And I'm shaking the whole backboard.
01:17I was a different kind of beast, man.
01:19Wow, I'm going to be on national TV, man.
01:22We got to put on a show.
01:28Everybody knew why one another was here.
01:35It's the best players.
01:37And I always wanted to put myself against the best players.
01:40Never let nobody dictate your dreams.
01:42They can't see your dreams.
01:43God didn't give them to them, they gave them to you.
01:45So don't ever give up on your dreams.
01:48All I had to do was believe.
01:52Ooh, and now we're living the dream.
01:56McDonald's All-American High School basketball game.
01:58Game, game, game, game.
