00:00Welcome back in this video I will guide you how to add a professional line in footer in

00:04Word easily. This method is unique because it embeds the line into the document's DNA

00:10rather than just placing a shape on top. So first you need to double click

00:16in the footer section to enable the footer area and then head to the home tab and click the small

00:24dialog launcher arrow in the bottom right corner of the styles group. So the style window will appear.

00:31Now scroll through the list to find the footer. So moreover if you don't see the footer in the styles

00:37list then click on the option and then head to the select style to show and click on that arrow

00:44and click on the all styles and then click ok. So right now I have a footer so the next

00:51step is to

00:52right click and click modify and now click the format button at the bottom left of the window

01:00and select the border. So in the border tab select your preferred line

01:08for example this one and select the color of your choice

01:15select the width and click the top border icon to place the line specially above the footer text and

01:23then remove the left and right border and then click ok. Moreover if you want this line in our future

01:32document then select the radio button for new document based on this template before clicking ok.
