00:04in Windows 10. So in Windows 10 quick access tool bar is often missing because the navigation pan
00:13is often hidden or the features cache has become corrupted. So if the entire left hand sidebar is
00:19gone you need to turn it back on. So for this you need to click view tab on the top
00:25and click the
00:26navigation pan and make sure the navigation pan should be checked. You can also check the expand
00:33to the open folder to further explore the folders inside. In the second method check the quick access
00:40visibility settings. Sometimes this section is there but it is not showing any folder or files.
00:46So click on the view and go to the option and click on the change folder and search option. In
00:53the general
00:53tab under the privacy section you need to ensure that these two boxes are checked.
01:02So click clear and click apply. Okay. There may be another problem if quick access is visible but
01:11won't let you pin new folders the cache might be corrupted. So for this you need to click on the
01:17start button and type command prompt. Click on the command prompt
01:26and paste this prompt and hit enter. So you can also take the screenshot of this prompt. So after that
01:35you need to restart the file explorer or even you need to reboot your pc. Moreover you can also toggle
01:44show
01:44all folders in the navigation pan because sometimes it can worry the quick access link. So click on that
01:53and click show all folders. This simplifies the sidebar and usually bring quick access back to the
02:02very top. So this way you can easily check why quick access not showing in file explorer in windows 10.
