00:00He loves playing in the water. He was so happy, having so much fun.
00:05Like a big, excited child chasing a ball in a swimming pool.
00:11Maroway is a pretty, calm, joyous tiger.
00:14He loves to float and chill out.
00:18Considering the life he'd lived prior to rescue,
00:21it's so much fun to see him enjoying his life.
00:33Maroway was born in Phuket Zoo and stayed there for the first two years of his life.
00:38Bred and born into captivity to be used as a tourist photo prop,
00:42kept in deplorable conditions.
00:45Really, really small rundown enclosures.
00:48No enrichment, no trees to climb, basically nothing.
00:54We've spent a good few months trying to prepare to secure the freedom
00:59of the tigers and bears from Phuket Zoo.
01:08Maroway was in pretty okay health, considering where he came from.
01:14He was put in a transport crate and then onto the rescue truck
01:18and then driven 700 kilometres back to the rescue centre.
01:24He didn't know, but it was his new, forever home.
01:27Maroway ran straight out of the door, running through the grass, playing,
01:33diving in his pools, scratching on the trees.
01:37He just played and played and played.
01:39He soon realised that this is a safe place where he can feel secure and happy.
01:46Tigers love water.
01:47So, giving any rescued wild animals a better life brings me a sense of purpose.
01:55To see the joy on their faces.
01:58It's priceless, it really is.
02:01To see the joy on my face.
02:03The best place for us.
02:03To see the joy on their faces was a place for us.
02:06We've seen the joy on my mind.
02:07That's our hope, right?
02:07We've got the joy on the next.
02:12We'll be able to have 10, five years, and we'll be able to get more of the new
02:12please, thank you, save you, and trust me.
02:12The best place is the best place in the world.
