00:20I met Sidwall's partner, Cullum.
00:23How did that happen?
00:25Brennan called me into the WSB office for a meeting.
00:27Cullum wanted to ask me questions about Britt and the Five Poppies.
00:31What'd you tell him?
00:32Bare minimum.
00:34What'd you think of the WSB's latest double agent?
00:38He's cold.
00:39You could see it in his eyes.
00:41Probably as dangerous as Britt says.
00:43At least he made contact.
00:45Keep your friends close, your enemies closer.
00:47It turns out we're not the only enemy Cullum has.
00:51Somebody we know?
00:52Somebody that could take the fall while we take out Cullum?
00:56Possibly.
00:57Who?
00:59Jack Brennan.
01:02Come in.
01:06Hey.
01:07Now, wait a second.
01:08Didn't I just see you at home?
01:10That was me.
01:11Mm-hmm.
01:12But I figured I'd bring you a healthy mid-morning snack.
01:20Actually, I remembered today.
01:23So you did.
01:26First time for everything.
01:27That's true.
01:28So I guess I'll eat this by myself then.
01:30No, no, no.
01:31Uh-uh.
01:31The gift is a gift.
01:33This baby's going to be hungry again in about an hour.
01:35Oh, okay.
01:36In that case, any cravings for lunch?
01:39Because I can get you, uh, see, pickles, ice cream, uh, what I thought I found one.
01:47Oh.
01:48Your wish is my command.
01:50You're too good to me.
01:52No such thing.
01:59So, what's going on with your phone?
02:01Why is it blowing up?
02:02There's all these rumors flying around.
02:04People are saying they're going to announce Drew's replacement today.
02:06Do you have any idea who's going to be?
02:08No clue.
02:09But whoever it is, I guess my internship is done.
02:13Which means my career in politics is over before it started.
02:17Look who's back!
02:19Hello, my friend.
02:20Don't get up.
02:21Are you kidding?
02:22I'm already up.
02:23This leg is well on the mend, which means no more working from home, and I can certainly
02:28stand up to hug you.
02:30Oh, honey, it's so good to be back.
02:31I can't even tell you.
02:33And now that things are somewhat back to normal, we're going to be seeing so much more of each
02:37other.
02:39Actually, maybe not.
02:43Knocky, knocky.
02:45Not now.
02:46I've got a press conference in a few hours.
02:47I'm getting ready for that.
02:48Whatever it is, you're going to have to wait.
02:51Yeah, um...
02:54Mayor Collins, this can't wait.
02:59Sidwell sent me.
03:03Good morning, Willow.
03:05Hello.
03:06Gents.
03:07You must be excited.
03:11About?
03:13The beginning of what I hope will be a long and fruitful career in politics.
03:18Today is the day.
03:20Would?
03:21About that.
03:22I truly appreciate you thinking of me for this, and it is certainly an amazing opportunity.
03:29Yes, yes it is.
03:31The thing is, I never agreed to take Drew's seat, and after thinking it over, I'm afraid
03:37I have to decline your very generous offer.
03:43If the new rep knows what's good for them, they'll keep you.
03:48Yeah, but what if Drew's replacement is as bad as he was, or worse?
03:53I know that Drew disappointed you, and I get why you're disillusioned, but what if, once Drew's gone, you remember
04:00all the reasons you enjoyed the internship to begin with?
04:04What if Drew's replacement is great?
04:07You're right.
04:08Of course I am.
04:09Thank you for helping me change my perspective a little.
04:13No, I'm just practical.
04:15I think we should have good men like you in politics.
04:19Oh, sorry.
04:20No, you're good.
04:20I need to check on the gallery anyway.
04:47Maybe she got another call while she was trying to call you.
04:50What happens?
04:52I don't think so.
04:54I haven't spoken to Trina since I found out that this baby is Curtis's.
05:00And that's not what I wanted.
05:03But I was hoping that she'd be more open to speak with me after that.
05:08I guess not.
05:10Maybe the problem is that you're living with me now.
05:15Does Brennan know Cullum's dirty?
05:17I don't think so.
05:19But Brennan definitely doesn't trust him.
05:21He even warned me not to tell any details to Cullum about the five poppies.
05:25I don't have much use for Brennan one way or another these days, but it is interesting that he considers
05:32Cullum a threat.
05:33Yeah, Cullum is too high up in the WSB.
05:38It gives Sidwell way too much power.
05:40I mean, not only feeding him information if the WSB gets close to uncovering their operations,
05:45but Cullum can protect Sidwell by interfering in any local or WSB investigations.
05:50Sounds to me like you've changed your mind about waiting to take out Cullum.
05:56Cullum is way more dangerous than Sidwell.
05:59Well, the sooner this guy's dead, the better.
06:06Aren't you just a little embarrassed to be reduced to Sidwell's messenger boy?
06:11I mean, don't you have any actual work that you have to do that actually helps the people of Port
06:17Charles?
06:21Well, I am one of those people in Port Charles, and keeping Sidwell happy helps me.
06:27Oh yeah?
06:28Yeah.
06:29How's that helipad construction going?
06:32Very noisy.
06:34But provides jobs for my constituents.
06:39Oh, what's this?
06:41It's amazing to me, but you can justify.
06:45Okay, I'm starting to see what the problem is here.
06:48Yeah, you're still new to this.
06:51Extortion?
06:52Yeah.
06:52No.
06:53And you do not fully accept the position you're in.
06:57Okay, but the bottom line is, you and I, we're in the same boat.
07:02Sidwell is the captain, and we are just along for the ride.
07:06Okay, Luke, why don't you just tell me what Sidwell wants this time?
07:09He wants Willow Kane to fill the seat of her husband in Congress.
07:16Oh, that's impossible.
07:18Impossible.
07:19See, that's funny, because over time, you will find, as I have, that nothing is truly impossible.
07:24In fact, this is quite simple.
07:27Now, I know that Governor Mendez has basically put the appointment in your hands.
07:31In fact, that's what this big press conference is all about today.
07:35So it's very simple for you.
07:37All you need to do is announce that Willow will be Drew's successor.
07:43No.
07:45Absolutely not.
07:46I won't do it.
07:47I think there must be some misunderstanding.
07:51I truly appreciate your faith in me, and I have to admit, I was tempted by the challenge,
07:56but I just got my kids back.
07:58The new custody arrangement went into effect, and last night was their first night here with me.
08:03It's very moving.
08:04It's true, but Wiley had trouble sleeping last night, and Amelia pitched a fit this morning
08:08because I didn't remember which shoes were her favorite, which is completely understandable,
08:12because as her mother, I should know.
08:15Yes, but maybe one.
08:16It gives me time to adjust to this new arrangement, which means I have to make them my priority.
08:22Well, you could, Tom.
08:23So I am so sorry, Jens, but I'm sure the Governor can find someone else.
08:30I have no doubt, but you, you have these unique qualifications that make you very valuable
08:42to me.
08:44So no matter what the Governor may want, I want you in Congress, right?
08:50So you will take this position, and given what I've done for you, we both know that refusing
09:02is not an option.
09:06We didn't even really talk about moving in together.
09:09I just kind of grabbed my stuff from my home and moved into yours.
09:15Yeah, we did.
09:18Do you regret it?
09:21Absolutely not.
09:23Are you sure?
09:26We skipped over a lot of steps in this relationship, right?
09:30I mean, we were sneaking around.
09:33Now we're living together.
09:36I'm pregnant with another man's baby.
09:40I told you, I'm good with all that.
09:43I know you keep saying that, but I feel bad.
09:47On Valentine's Day, we were sitting on the couch, watching old movies, eating pizza and
09:51Thai food, because that's what I was craving.
09:53But other than hiding all the curry, why would you feel bad about that?
10:00I had a great time.
10:02Didn't you?
10:04I did.
10:05Well, there you go.
10:06See, I'm loving where this is going.
10:08And if we're happy with where this is going, then who cares how it's supposed to be?
10:16Yeah.
10:18Trina.
10:19Trina cares.
10:21But maybe that'll all change when the baby's born.
10:25How'd you end up calling your mom?
10:27I told you.
10:28By accident.
10:29Or a number must have been on your screen for you to hit it, right?
10:33I was thinking about Texica, and then I thought about it again this morning, obviously.
10:38Why didn't you?
10:40Because the only thing I can think of saying is, why are you still with Isaiah?
10:43He's not the baby's father, so why won't he just go away?
10:46We know Sid was dangerous, and he'll kill whoever gets in his way, but he has a huge ego.
10:53And he's easily distracted.
10:55Lucy and Ava distracted?
10:57To start.
10:59What's your take on Cullum?
11:00Cullum.
11:02He's all business, and he's got the power of the WSB behind him.
11:06But if Brennan doesn't want him involved in the Five Poppies investigation, that is a rift that we can take
11:14advantage of.
11:16The guy needs to be gone.
11:19But you said we couldn't kill him because he has some, you know, control over Britt's medication.
11:25He does.
11:26But if we can get it out of Windermere, we can figure out how to replicate it.
11:30We have a new way in.
11:32Lucas.
11:34So I thought about this a lot, and I've gone over the pros and cons.
11:38And the pros outweighed the cons?
11:40By one.
11:41See, if I take this position, then I'm in a position to actually affect change, and that matters to me.
11:47So I called Laura last night, and I said, okay, okay, I'll do it.
11:51So she's going to announce it this afternoon at the press conference.
11:58Alexis, I'm thrilled for you.
12:17Truly.
12:19And applaud Laura on an extremely wise choice.
12:23I actually cannot think of anyone better to go in there and fight for Port Charles.
12:27Well, thank you, and now I need your help.
12:30Name it.
12:31Because of my history, the press is going to grill me, and so I need you to prep me.
12:37At your service.
12:38You ready?
12:39Yeah.
12:40Miss Davis, Miss Davis, Port Charles Herald.
12:43Given your criminal history...
12:45Thank you for addressing that.
12:48See, Diane, my convictions and my disbarment, that's going to be my greatest pitfall.
12:53I agree, but they stem from a very relatable source, your struggle with alcoholism.
12:59So, um, Miss Davis, can you tell my readers, uh, how long have you been sober?
13:04Five years, and I still go to AA meetings.
13:06Very impressive, Miss Davis.
13:07And I've taken responsibility for all of my actions, and my law license has been reinstated.
13:12Uh, Miss Davis, Port Charles Press, uh, let's talk about your constituents.
13:15Why should they trust you, given your criminal record?
13:18Because my constituents trusted Drew Cain, who had a criminal record, and served time for insider trading.
13:25Which means that they believe in giving people a second chance, and I will make my second chance count.
13:34How'd I do?
13:35Fantastic.
13:36You're the comeback kid. People love a comeback.
13:39It's not going to be this easy.
13:41Nothing has ever been that easy.
13:43But still, here you are.
13:46Because you're one of the strongest people I know.
13:48Thanks.
13:50I have already offered Drew's seat to Alexis Davis, and she has accepted it, and a press conference has been
13:57set for three o'clock to make that announcement.
13:59You just have to tell Sidwell he was too late.
14:03Laura.
14:05I'm going to get real with you for a second, okay?
14:07For a whole second?
14:09Do you have the stamina?
14:11Sidwell is dangerous.
14:13You know that. I know that.
14:15Difference is, I didn't realize how dangerous he was until I was in too deep.
14:19Rumor has it you have real second-hand knowledge.
14:23Yeah. He held my son and Anna Devane captive, and he was going to kill him.
14:27So, you know, it is unwise to say no to Sidwell, even once.
14:30So just give the man what he wants.
14:33How much money does he pay you?
14:37I was raised to believe that discussing money and religion is rude.
14:45Ah, and politics. And yet here we are.
14:49If you actually believe that we are discussing politics, you haven't been listening.
14:56I did not choose this. I am being coerced into doing Sidwell's bidding.
15:02Then you need to face reality.
15:05Look, you might be willing to sacrifice yourself, but if you want to protect your family,
15:10just announce that Willow will be our new congresswoman.
15:15No, no, I won't do that.
15:17Oh, my.
15:19What?
15:21Have you told anyone else that Alexis is your pick?
15:24No. No, because that's what the press conference is for.
15:27Well, then it's so easy.
15:29Nothing about this is easy.
15:30True, but it will get easier.
15:32But look, Lauren, even if it doesn't, you need to accept the fact you're in no position to refuse.
15:43Wait a minute.
15:47Why, Willow?
15:49I know you believe I'm qualified for the seat because I'm Drew's wife and there's a precedent for spouses taking
15:55over.
15:55I don't know if you're qualified.
15:58But this is a congressional seat.
15:58I don't know.
16:01All you need to do is look out for the needs of your constituent.
16:05And you have one constituent, and that's me.
16:10How do you even know Mayor Collins won't object to my appointment?
16:14I wouldn't have approached you unless I had that matter well in hand.
16:20I don't understand why...
16:21All you need to understand is what I can do to you and your life if you refuse.
16:28Do you understand that much at least?
16:31Yes.
16:33Marvelous.
16:34Well, then let's get on with things, shall we?
16:36You see, you're not going to a press conference dressed like that, are you?
16:42I know that you can take my children away.
16:46I know I have no choice.
16:48Well, then let's get dressed.
16:49But wouldn't it be better for you to have someone in the position who's grateful for it,
16:52rather than someone you have to force to do it?
16:56Sit.
16:58Sit!
16:59Sit!
17:01Sit!
17:02Sit!
17:02Sit!
17:03Sit!
17:04Sit!
17:05Sit!
17:08Sit!
17:09You have Druzla's name.
17:12You are the noble wife standing with her man.
17:19Think...
17:20Think...
17:21Think of the Votorps.
17:22I don't know.
17:23You are very relatable to voters as a working mother.
17:28Now I realize it might be difficult for you to call yourself Mrs. Kane
17:33when we both know that you loathe your husband.
17:37But that, it's just a small matter in the scheme of things.
17:43And I remind you that a seat in Congress brings with it prestige
17:49and, most importantly, power.
17:53Power to stand up to Michael Carinthos.
17:57Power to keep your children with you forever.
18:04Now, don't you want that?
18:06Yes.
18:09So I advise you, please be smarter than your husband.
18:15I don't want aggravation.
18:18I just want cooperation.
18:20And as long as you provide that,
18:24you will have a long and happy life with your children.
18:31Isaiah had no problem getting with a married woman,
18:34and now my mom is living with him.
18:36How disrespectful is that to my dad?
18:38But your dad is with Jordan now.
18:40I don't think he cares about your mom and Dr. Gannon.
18:42Well, I do.
18:44And just because my mom is into her new man
18:47doesn't mean I am anywhere near ready to accept that.
18:54Willow is a nurse, okay?
18:57She has no civic experience whatsoever.
19:00I doubt she was ever even a community organizer.
19:04I can't believe she'd even be interested in this job.
19:07Well, it's what Sidwell wants, and he can be very persuasive.
19:13Willow?
19:14I mean, it doesn't make sense.
19:15Oh, my goodness.
19:16Laura, I have no idea why Sidwell does what he does.
19:19He does not tell me his reasons, okay?
19:21But I can tell you this.
19:22Willow looks weird on camera.
19:24And the wife of a man who was tragically struck down in his prime
19:29is a pretty good sympathy pick, so...
19:32No, no, no.
19:33Spare me the spin.
19:36Okay, look.
19:37I am trying to help you, okay?
19:38But you insist on fighting the inevitable.
19:43That's it.
19:43What?
19:46Willow is too inexperienced to put up a good fight, right?
19:49So she'll be easier for him to influence.
19:54Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding.
19:57Give the lady a prize.
19:59I'm going to stick with my choice of Alexis Davis
20:02because poor Charles needs a proactive voice in Congress,
20:05not a puppet.
20:07Alexis Davis is the worst choice you could make.
20:12She will be nothing but trouble.
20:15I cannot wait to see what a competent representative
20:19will look like in Congress,
20:21especially after suffering through cutthroat Cain's reign of revenge.
20:26Die, thank you, for always supporting me and having my back.
20:31That's what we do, right?
20:35I'll tell you this, though.
20:36I'm going to miss you when you're in D.C.
20:38No, you're not going to have to
20:40because I'm going to be here most of the time.
20:42My family is here.
20:42And your family needs you, especially Scout.
20:46Scout?
20:47And the constituents.
20:49My constituents are here.
20:51And I would much rather listen to them
20:53than rub elbows with special interests,
20:56have power lunches with self-interested lobbyists.
21:00That's why you are going to be so good at this.
21:03But speaking of constituents,
21:05before this whole thing goes public,
21:07you've got to give Sonny a heads up.
21:09I don't know all the details.
21:11I just know that Lucas approached Britt.
21:13She's not sure how much he knows.
21:16He just figured out that Marco and Sidwell are coercing her,
21:20and he's hell-bent on helping her get out from under them.
21:23Very noble, but he's in way over his head.
21:26I agree, but he seems determined to help, no matter what.
21:31Well, he's more stubborn than his sister.
21:33I didn't think that was possible.
21:34If Lucas can get just one...
21:38one dose of Britt's medication,
21:41we can take Colum out.
21:43And frame Brennan in the process.
21:45We might not even have to,
21:47because with Colum out of the picture,
21:50Brennan might actually be able to do his job
21:53and take Sidwell down himself.
21:57Nina, come in.
21:58Hi, thank you.
22:02Mr. Sidwell,
22:04what brings you by?
22:05Well, I thought I'd drop in to see Drew.
22:07You can imagine how excited I was
22:09when I heard Willow's wonderful news.
22:13You've decided to take Drew's seat?
22:17That is wonderful news.
22:19That was something you'd say, yes.
22:20When is the governor making the announcement?
22:22Soon, but Mayor Collins is making the announcement,
22:25not the governor.
22:26Really?
22:27Laura?
22:28Well, she's certainly popular.
22:29She'll remind everyone of your roots in Port Charles.
22:33An excellent point.
22:34Yeah.
22:37Are you all right?
22:38I'm fine.
22:39I'm just nervous.
22:42Okay.
22:43We'll go put on that new power suit.
22:44Be ready to do anything.
22:47Right.
22:48Excuse me.
22:54I'm so glad you're here, Ms. Reeves.
22:57Willow, she seems a bit overwhelmed.
23:00She seems like she's more than a bit overwhelmed.
23:07From what I understand,
23:08you were heavily involved in Drew's campaign.
23:11One might say you helped get him elected.
23:14Regretfully, yes.
23:16Then Willow is especially lucky to have you guide her.
23:19Well, thank you, Mr. Sidwell.
23:20But Willow will do great in Congress.
23:22She'll do better than Drew, but that's a low bar.
23:24Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, yes, yes, yes, I agree.
23:28I agree.
23:29Poor Charles will be in excellent hands.
23:34Dr. Gannon, is my mom okay?
23:36Yes.
23:37She's fine.
23:39Then we have nothing to say to each other.
23:41Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
23:42I think we do, and I'd really appreciate it if you'd hear me out.
23:47It's your call.
23:57Do you want me to stay?
24:00It's okay.
24:00You can go.
24:01Okay.
24:02I'll go see what's happening at Drew's office.
24:15Okay, say what you came here to say.
24:18Though I don't know why you're bothering, because my mom has made it very clear that she doesn't care what
24:22I think of her relationship with you.
24:24You think you know everything about our relationship, and you're wrong.
24:27Oh, so you didn't sleep with my mom while she was still married to my dad?
24:31You've decided that everything your mother did was wrong, and everything your father did was right.
24:36I didn't decide anything.
24:38She's the one who lied, again.
24:40She's the one who cheated, again.
24:41The only thing that she didn't repeat is this time, the baby is actually her husband's.
24:46Things were more complex than that, and for you to pretend like they weren't, that's not fair to anyone.
24:51What does this have to do with you?
24:53I care about Portia, and she cares about you.
24:56So I have to ask, why would you cut yourself off from your mother's love when she's willing to do
25:03whatever it takes to make things work with you?
25:05She's not willing to dump you.
25:09If your mother and I did break up, what then?
25:13I spoke to Steven, Drew's caregiver, and he's all set, so I'm ready to go.
25:19We'll walk you out.
25:20Um, actually, I haven't seen Drew yet.
25:22I'll let myself out afterwards if that's all right with you.
25:26Stay as long as you like.
25:29Let's go.
25:29Okay.
25:30And you look absolutely lovely, Congresswoman.
25:39Alexa, is everything okay?
25:41Yeah.
25:41Yeah, everything's fine.
25:43I just wanted to call you with some news.
25:46It looks like I'm going to be taking over Drew's seat in Congress.
25:50How did that happen?
25:51The governor asked Laura for a recommendation, and Laura recommended me.
25:55Okay.
25:56I take it you don't agree?
25:58I'm just surprised, that's all.
26:00Pleasantly surprised?
26:02Well, I think you're going to do a great job, and I'll tell the reporters that if they call me,
26:07unless you don't want me to say anything.
26:08You can say whatever you want, as long as you make it clear that all we share is our daughter,
26:12and that you won't be influencing any of my decisions.
26:16Congratulations, Alexis.
26:20It's trouble.
26:24I think Laura just made a big mistake.
26:27Alexis Davis has all the makings of being a great Congresswoman.
26:32She is very smart.
26:34Yes, yes, yes, that is the problem.
26:36She's too smart.
26:37Not to mention principled and stubborn, not easily swayed.
26:41Look, does Sidwell even know that you want to appoint Alexis to the post?
26:47I don't discuss my decisions with Sidwell.
26:49Well, maybe it's time you start.
26:51Save everybody a lot of time, especially you.
26:54Spoken like a true lapdog.
26:56A practical lapdog.
27:01Laura, you better wise up fast.
27:04Okay, whatever hold Sidwell has on you, you are down in the mud with the rest of us now.
27:09Even your family, wherever they may be.
27:16Oh, that right there is for our press conference.
27:20It starts in 15 minutes.
27:23No, it's not until 3 p.m.
27:25Yeah, no, I had to move it up.
27:26I thought, you know, less time to stew over this whole thing, the better.
27:30My God.
27:32Is this what the next four years is going to be like?
27:35You'll get used to it.
27:36No, I will not get used to it because I don't want to be that person.
27:42I don't.
27:43So I think, I think it's time that I call Sidwell on his bluff.
27:48I'm going to announce Alexis Davis.
27:51And I will dare Sidwell to do his worst.
28:00Hello, Drew.
28:04I'm so sorry for not visiting sooner.
28:09What's wrong?
28:12You're trying to tell me something.
28:143 fast.
28:153 slow.
28:163 fast.
28:17SOS.
28:18SOS.
28:20Oh, Drew.
28:23I know Willow put you in this bed.
28:27In fact, she couldn't have done it without me.
28:33Are you saying you're willing to break up with my mom?
28:36No, I'm trying to get you to move past your anger and think about what you really want.
28:40Because the fact that the baby isn't mine doesn't change my feelings for Portia.
28:45We're happy.
28:46Oh, so you're asking for my blessing.
28:49That's not going to happen.
28:50Yeah, of course not.
28:52Because you're not done punishing your mom.
28:55So when is it going to be enough, Trina?
28:57Because it seems like you won't be happy until your mother ends up alone.
29:01No, that's, that's not what I'm saying.
29:04Isn't it?
29:05I don't expect you to like me.
29:08But I want you to think long and hard about what this rift is doing to your mother.
29:13Because after everything she's told me about you,
29:16I don't believe that deep down inside you want her to be unhappy.
29:37Alexis taking over for Drew, that eliminates a lot of problems, not just for us, but for everybody.
29:42Under normal circumstances, Alexis is a great choice.
29:45But she's going to start working closely with Laura and Ezra Boyle.
29:50And Alexis is going to figure out that Laura's taking orders from said well.
29:55Then why, why would Laura choose her?
29:58Because Laura's first impulse is to always do right by poor Charles.
30:02She needs to fill Drew's seat.
30:05And Alexis is a great choice.
30:07But she doesn't think about risking exposure.
30:10She doesn't think that far ahead.
30:15So, by Laura doing the right thing for the city,
30:20she's put herself in even more danger.
30:23I followed Willow's trial very closely.
30:27And with the help of some inside information from my informants at PCPD,
30:31I became convinced Willow was the one who shot you.
30:34And so I was fairly sure that Willow would be receptive to my offer, which she was.
30:40What offer, Gens?
30:42You ask.
30:43Access.
30:44To a certain paralytic that mimics the symptoms of a stroke,
30:49but is completely undetectable.
30:52The very thing that's keeping you in your locked-in state.
30:58You became a thorn in my side, Drew.
31:02But your unhinged performance on the stand,
31:07that's what convinced me and Willow that you were nothing but a liability.
31:12And so we joined forces,
31:15and now she has partial custody of her children,
31:18and I have a much more pliant representative in Congress.
31:25Oh, did your lovely wife tell you?
31:29Willow is taking your seat in the House of Representatives.
31:37You know, the more I think about this,
31:39the more I really, really like the possibility,
31:42you know, that I'd be able to get in there
31:44and reshape the system from working within it.
31:47Well, good luck with that.
31:48You know, you're going to get a lot of pushback.
31:50Fine.
31:52Again, Drew's abuse of power was beyond imagination.
31:58And in doing everything that he did for his own personal gain,
32:03you know, it wasn't just about money.
32:04It was about Scouts.
32:06Yeah, Scout and Portia and the Quartermains and everybody else.
32:10Nobody should have the right to use the government to hurt people.
32:15Just when I think I could not be any more proud of you.
32:20You have suffered such tremendous personal losses,
32:25especially in the last several years.
32:26But look at you, Congresswoman Davis.
32:30I do like the sound of that.
32:36Oh, the mayor is about to give a press conference.
32:39And they're going to live stream it.
32:42Well, that can't be my press conference.
32:45Because that's not supposed to happen until this afternoon.
32:49Something else must be going on.
32:57Come in.
33:04Mom.
33:06Hi.
33:08I warned you not to cross me, Drew.
33:11Now, look at you.
33:12You're a wonderful and convenient prop.
33:15A symbol of your wife's loving heart and loyalty.
33:20But the adoring wife people only take us so far.
33:24Voters bore so easily.
33:27But I see Willow's political career skyrocket once she becomes a widow.
33:36So stop with the SOS routine, okay?
33:40Your repeated efforts to signal will have a detrimental effect on your life expectancy.
33:48Besides, it's a waste of energy.
33:51You must have figured so far that your caregivers have been paid
33:55to look the other way.
33:57And, uh, given your interaction with most of poor Charles,
34:02I doubt, I doubt very much if you'll have any visitors that want to help you.
34:09Good morning, everyone.
34:11Members of the press, thank you for showing up.
34:15I will keep my comments, uh, brief.
34:19In light of his ongoing health crisis,
34:22Congressman Cain will no longer be able to represent this district
34:27and the people of Port Charles.
34:29On behalf of all of us,
34:31I thank him for his service.
34:33And I and everyone here at City Hall wish him a speedy recovery.
34:40Why is she doing this without you?
34:42What's going on?
34:44Governor Mendez has given me the honor of announcing
34:46the appointment of the newest representative from the state of New York,
34:51Mrs. Willow Cain.
34:57Thank you, Mayor Collins.
34:59And thank you, Governor Mendez.
35:01I know I'm new to politics and government.
35:06I know I have a lot to learn.
35:09But as a nurse,
35:11and most importantly, as a mother,
35:14taking care of people is what I do best.
35:17And it is my honor to continue my husband's good work
35:21and represent all of you in Washington, D.C.
35:31Looks like Cid will cut Laura off at the pass.
