00:00:13Hello, my name is Shion David James. I am the senior instructor at the Vionis Jusso School of Self-Defense
00:00:20at 25 Park Place.
00:00:22We are located between Broadway and Church up on the second floor. Today, we will have for you numerous amounts
00:00:32of technique situated off of basic five points of attack and then go into various self-defense techniques over grabs,
00:00:40holds, chokes, body grabs that we will be demonstrating for you.
00:00:44Okay. From the end to end, I have Master Cirillo. Good. Little Smith. Of course, this is the Grand Master,
00:00:54the founder of the system, Professor Florenzo Visitation, man of the system, head man of the system, head master of
00:01:01the system, master of masters, teacher of teachers.
00:01:03Then on the other end, we have Master Scott Stewart. Been with us many, many years. Another great practitioner from
00:01:11the system. Okay. We would like to tell you once again, when reviewing this video, things that you see in
00:01:19this video make us look like we're violent and vicious, evil, unfocused, treacherous people.
00:01:28But we're not. Okay. This is self-defense. Self-defense. That's all this is. But when you're applying self-defense
00:01:36to the streets, there's no joking about it. There's nothing funny about it. It's a real situation. Life and death.
00:01:41So, when you see the things we do, please, just remember, this is what we will do, if forced to
00:01:48do, if our lives are threatened and we feel that our lives are in danger.
00:01:54We do not teach you this and show you this to do to someone because he's leaning on your car,
00:01:59or he looked at your girlfriend, or he cursed you.
00:02:03No. No. You should have discipline, the other thing we teach you, self-control, focus. You should be able to
00:02:11establish when your life is being threatened or when someone is just insulting you and be mature enough to deal
00:02:17with that in a different manner. Okay.
00:02:19So, what you see us do is for self-defense situation, if your life depends on it.
00:02:26So, we're all very peaceful, loving, law-abiding citizens. Okay.
00:02:32And in that, I'd just like to say, I hope you enjoy the video. Hope you enjoy what you see.
00:02:38And if you do like what you see, please feel free to come on down to the dojo, which is
00:02:45that 25-part place.
00:02:46I mentioned that before. And join in the system or get some more studies or contact us in some way
00:02:51if you'd like to know more about what it is that we do.
00:02:54And I hope you honestly pick up something from it. That's the most important thing. Watch it over and over
00:03:00and over again.
00:03:01I was told something that in order for your mind to retain something, what you hear and what you see,
00:03:05you have to watch it at least 16 times to take it in to the fullest.
00:03:10So, take your time with this. It's not an overnight thing. Watch it over and over and over and over
00:03:16again until you understand what it is that all of these instructors here and Grand Master is trying to show
00:03:22us.
00:03:23First, for your life self-defense training. Thank you. First, okay. Now what you're about to see is called V
00:03:31-stepping from the five basic points of attack.
00:03:34The five basic points of attack, I will show you a little later on. But right now, I want you
00:03:39to concentrate on the footwork because it's very important to understand when you're being attacked, which direction you're going to
00:03:46move.
00:03:46Movement is very important to you because you don't want to put yourself in harm's way.
00:03:51A lot of times by moving or shifting in a certain direction, you can add a little bit more of
00:03:59a controversy type of situation to yourself than if you were to move the other way.
00:04:03You don't want to put yourself in harm's way. You don't want to put yourself in a position where you're
00:04:06going to feel more of the impact.
00:04:08You want to move yourself out of the way so you can possibly eliminate the impact or take in as
00:04:14very little of that impact as possible.
00:04:16And footwork is the answer to that. Get yourself out of harm's way. So now we're going to show you
00:04:22the V-stepping.
00:04:23You always want to put your hands up in a non-threatening manner. Try to make the opponent see your
00:04:28palms if possible.
00:04:29Then you're stepping out, one, all the way to the top of your stick, so a piece of tape on
00:04:35the floor, and back to the center.
00:04:39Two, you're going now to your left, hands up, back to your center. That's a high strike.
00:04:45Three, now it's coming a waist strike, bringing your body down, elbow goes to the knee.
00:04:51Three is an up strike. So if you hold your hands like this, it's going to come under, so you
00:04:57want to bend your body down, so you're here.
00:05:00It's an up strike. Back. Four. Step into the top of the stick, dropping now the right hand down, because
00:05:06four again is an up strike.
00:05:08You want to stop it with this hand, your right hand. Bending the body down. Four.
00:05:12Four. And then moving back to the center, and five is a straight thrust to the stomach, out of the
00:05:19way, hands up, and back to the center.
00:05:23Now we'll show you with the punching opponent, and this will be how it will look.
00:05:29Okay, now we're going to show it from the first angle. Number one, strike, hook punch, hands up.
00:05:34Notice my hands are up here, looking, keeping my eye on the opponent as I'm stepping. Notice my foot on
00:05:42the V. Pull it in here.
00:05:43You have to watch that left hand, because the quick possibility of you getting a strike in the face.
00:05:50So therefore, later on in the video, I will show you what to do with that hand to make sure
00:05:55it doesn't come out.
00:05:56But this is what you want to do. Stop the hand, eye to wrist, and here.
00:06:01Muscle. Second motion is here. Back. Backhand strike.
00:06:05Now you can't see this, so we're going to switch this around so you can get a good shot of
00:06:09what this looks like from the other side.
00:06:10But the V-stepping is what you want to do.
00:06:13Number two, we'll switch it around. We'll switch the two around.
00:06:18So now when he attacks, here it is. Once again, blocking by the forearm, blocking by the elbow.
00:06:24So elbow here. Ready? Looking at that hand. Looking at the opponent. You have a break set up. You're ready?
00:06:31Good position.
00:06:32Now number three, strike. Number three, we'll have to switch around again to the other side.
00:06:36Number three. Show you that angle. You notice how number three, I'm stepping, I'm in. I'm tight.
00:06:42The hand is pushing down. Remember what I told you about, it's an up strike. If I had my hand
00:06:46like this, that would have clearly came into the rim.
00:06:50So here, push it down. Hands up. What about that elbow? What about that punch? What about the man right
00:06:56standing right here?
00:06:57Because there's no one-handed opponents out here. So you got to watch that. Look at him because you know
00:07:02something is coming.
00:07:03But you want to bring this a little bit down. You don't want to keep your body up because you
00:07:06will get hit.
00:07:08Number three. Number four. Four strike. Once again, blocking, putting the hand down. Remember I said before, right hand down,
00:07:16other hand is up.
00:07:17Watch in the face. We'll reverse the angle on this one so you can see what the four strike looks
00:07:22from the opposite side.
00:07:23The person is striking. Here. Four. Once again, hand comes down, other hand is up. This is done because of
00:07:31the slide.
00:07:32You have to control the slide. If the person had a knife in his hand and he was skilled in
00:07:36another arc that was flowing, it would slide right up on you.
00:07:39So you don't want that. This hand has to be here to stop it. If you put your hand like
00:07:43this to stop number four, it's going to come right underneath.
00:07:46So you cannot block a fourth strike by trying to block down a ballpark. It'll still come underneath. Have to
00:07:52extend that arm to stop it.
00:07:54Here. Tight. Hands up. Once again, to stop it from riding.
00:07:59Number five. Strike. Coming to your belly. Right there. Strike coming to your belly.
00:08:04Side step. Once again, it's like number one. Really. You're right here. Hands are up. Looking at that left. Watching
00:08:13his focus to see where his attention span is.
00:08:16You want to make sure you put yourself out of harm's way. I'll show you five again from another angle.
00:08:22Okay. Five.
00:08:24Once again, hand down. Touchdown. Palm down. Right here. Hand is up. Here. Right there. All the matter you're looking.
00:08:32And that, listen, that is the end of the secret that are striking pattern and application. Footwork and application.
00:08:41And now we'll move on. Once again, footwork. Moving yourself out of harm's way.
00:08:46What I'm about to show you now, what we use in the VGIS system called triangular stepping. Triangular stepping.
00:08:51I'm going to demonstrate this with the sticks, with the batons on the floor. And Master Scout will demonstrate it
00:08:57without.
00:08:58So you'll see how I look. Get your hands up. Always palms in front of you. And then on to
00:09:03that inner manner.
00:09:04Now we're stepping. One, to the top of the stick. Lifting the leg. Crossing the course. Watch how the triangle.
00:09:09Now we're crossing the top of the triangle. Bring your leg up and back to the center.
00:09:13Again, one, up, two, up, and back. One, up, two, cross, and back. One, up, two, cross, and now you
00:09:24stop here.
00:09:25And you do this ten, twenty times. Try to do it for at least a minute to two minutes in
00:09:30the drill.
00:09:30And we go to the opposite direction now. And the opposite direction on the triangle.
00:09:34Now we're moving. It's one, to the left, up, cross, up, and back to your center.
00:09:41One, up, two, cross, back to your center. Left, right, back to your center. Left, right, back to your center.
00:09:51One more time. Left, right, and back to your center. Good.
00:09:55Now we'll show you the application of the triangular stepping.
00:10:00Triangular stepping now. Person is attacking with the same cinco thirdos pattern.
00:10:06The same five basic points of attack, which I'm going to show you right after we finish this.
00:10:12Same attacks. Watch the triangular stepping.
00:10:15One, up, to the right. Two, right here in the knee joint.
00:10:20Cross, and back.
00:10:23Now, number two, he's striking.
00:10:29One, up.
00:10:30Now you move now to your left because he's striking on that angle.
00:10:34Very important thing about this. It could be a left punch, or it could be a right punch.
00:10:39Two, and back to the center.
00:10:40Now give me a number two strike with the same hand in case the opponent use the same hand.
00:10:44Look at how it works.
00:10:48Cross, two, and back to the center.
00:10:51Reverse that angle.
00:10:54Number two strike.
00:10:56Again.
00:10:57One.
00:11:00See?
00:11:02Cross, back to the center.
00:11:03You give me a number two strike with the other hand.
00:11:07See?
00:11:08Keeps you away.
00:11:09Your pattern, you move quickly.
00:11:11Put you right away.
00:11:12Up.
00:11:13Cross.
00:11:14Back to your center.
00:11:15Number three strike.
00:11:17Up.
00:11:19Take out the knee.
00:11:21Back to the center.
00:11:22Switch to number three around.
00:11:23You can see it on the other side.
00:11:26Up.
00:11:27Look at that knee.
00:11:29Back to your center.
00:11:31Number four strike.
00:11:32Cross the body.
00:11:34Up.
00:11:34Notice again at number four how I use my hand.
00:11:37Down.
00:11:39The leg come up.
00:11:40Cross.
00:11:42Now I'm moving.
00:11:43Back to my center.
00:11:44We're going to reverse the angle on that one.
00:11:46And I'm not, now I am not getting into my hand technique.
00:11:49I'm just showing you the footwork.
00:11:51Not the handwork.
00:11:52When you put this all together like we were going to do later on, it's incredible.
00:11:56Because you break them down, you shock the legs, and then you use the hand.
00:12:00Everything you want is right there.
00:12:01You don't have to go reaching for anything.
00:12:03Because that is the concept of our system.
00:12:05Striking from the closest point.
00:12:07Hitting and shocking from the closest point.
00:12:10How to break a big man down.
00:12:13Number four.
00:12:15Cross.
00:12:16I'm not using any handwork now.
00:12:18Just footwork.
00:12:19Right there.
00:12:20Stop.
00:12:21And back.
00:12:22Number five.
00:12:23The person is thrusting again.
00:12:24Up.
00:12:25That could be the kneecap.
00:12:26And back.
00:12:28Shift it to the other direction.
00:12:29On a slight angle.
00:12:32So now watch number five.
00:12:33Five.
00:12:34Step in the cross.
00:12:35This right here.
00:12:36The leg is up.
00:12:37As you can see.
00:12:39It could be a short front kick to the groin.
00:12:42Step in back.
00:12:44Push.
00:12:44And that is the triangular step in.
00:12:46Now we're going to move on to the syncopated or striking pattern.
00:12:50The five points of attack.
00:12:51These are the five basic ways a person will swing at you in the street.
00:12:56With the exception of the overhand strike.
00:12:58Which we call a number eight strike.
00:13:01And we'll show that to you.
00:13:03One.
00:13:05Strike.
00:13:06This.
00:13:07Is a collarbone strike.
00:13:08So it's here.
00:13:10Collarbone.
00:13:12Okay.
00:13:13It could be baseball style swing.
00:13:15Still the same thing.
00:13:16Collarbone.
00:13:18Two.
00:13:18Cross collarbone.
00:13:20Same thing we've made.
00:13:21It could be a baseball style swinging.
00:13:24Collarbone.
00:13:25Three.
00:13:25Is the ring.
00:13:27It could be a baseball style swing.
00:13:30Three.
00:13:30To the ring.
00:13:31Four.
00:13:32The opposite side ring.
00:13:34Baseball style single hand.
00:13:36Four.
00:13:37Five.
00:13:38Is a thrust to the stomach.
00:13:40Or a thrust to the chest.
00:13:41Or a thrust to the face.
00:13:43Is a straight thrust.
00:13:44It could be a po-
00:13:45A little ramming type.
00:13:47But it's still a thrust.
00:13:49And that's our fifth motion.
00:13:51Now I want to show you this done with a short stick.
00:13:55So you understand the difference between hand positioning.
00:14:01Now with a short stick, you use both ends of that short stick.
00:14:10Turn on the angle please.
00:14:12One.
00:14:13If you're coming down.
00:14:15Collarbone.
00:14:17Two.
00:14:17Cross.
00:14:18Collarbone.
00:14:19Three.
00:14:20You turn your wrist so it's up.
00:14:21You always want to strike this third strike in an upwards motion.
00:14:25It's harder to block.
00:14:27Four.
00:14:28Opposite side.
00:14:30Rib.
00:14:30And five.
00:14:31You turn the point down.
00:14:32And now you're thrusting.
00:14:34So when you're doing it in a flowing motion, it's one, two, three, four, turn down, and five.
00:14:41Now, if you use the short stick like this, where you're adjusting and holding it towards the base of the
00:14:47stick,
00:14:47now this short stick represents a pocket knife, a comb, a brush, a miniature umbrella, anything, keys you can possibly
00:14:58put in your hand, this short stick.
00:15:01Like I was saying before, if you push it and you use it like this, this is more or less
00:15:05how a knife is held.
00:15:06If you're holding the knife in your hand, it'll be more or less just like this.
00:15:10With the base.
00:15:11And then now you use, instead of using the striking motion when you're going into the collarbone, you use the
00:15:17slicing motion, which is now cutting.
00:15:20One.
00:15:21Cross.
00:15:22Two.
00:15:22You're pulling down.
00:15:23Now you're turning the wrist up.
00:15:25Three.
00:15:25Cross.
00:15:26Four.
00:15:27And now five.
00:15:29Five basic points of attack.
00:15:32Right?
00:15:33Now with this, with this now, we're going to move on into the application.
00:15:40And some more of what our system is all about.
00:15:44Okay.
00:15:44Now what I'm going to show you is called touch and go.
00:15:49Touch and go.
00:15:51It is the same concept.
00:15:53Like a Spalding ball hitting the wall.
00:15:56No matter how hard you throw something against a wall, a ball against a wall, it is going to bounce
00:16:02back.
00:16:03The harder you throw the ball, the faster it bounces back.
00:16:05It allows you to move on to the next point.
00:16:09When you're utilizing this type of method, you don't block hard.
00:16:14So you don't put your whole energy and your force and your body in the direction of that one block
00:16:19that freezes you there for a second.
00:16:21It allows you to move to the opposite point.
00:16:24I will show you this once again from the single-tay to striking.
00:16:27The man is striking with a hook punch.
00:16:29You know traditionally you've got your hard block.
00:16:32Your hard middle block.
00:16:34Downward block or you may just use a middle block in your hard type of martial arts forms.
00:16:40But what the touch and go allows you to do, instead of just doing this, and right now your foe's
00:16:46here for a second, your foe's here, it allows you to move to the next point.
00:16:50Because in touch and go, when you hit and when you strike, you touch, you move to the next point,
00:16:56which allows you to touch and go, touch and go, touch and go.
00:17:02Second strike is the number two strike.
00:17:05Once again, you can, here, most systems, most artists, traditionally, you're looking to strike with a reverse punch.
00:17:11But what happens with this in the street, it's not the best, really, really, really the best way to go.
00:17:16Because that half a second that you may use to draw back and strike, the person is going to shift.
00:17:21The person is going to move.
00:17:22He's not going to be there.
00:17:24You want to strike the opponent before he even knows what's going on.
00:17:27So once again, with the touch and go, if you're using this method, the person touch and you went.
00:17:32All right, touch and go.
00:17:38Touch and go.
00:17:40Or touch and go.
00:17:44See, touch and go, it could be inside hand, it could be outside hand, it doesn't matter.
00:17:49The key is not to stay there.
00:17:52You don't want to stay there.
00:17:53You don't want to, because that motion will cause another motion.
00:17:58Motion causes motion.
00:18:00So we try not to do that.
00:18:01The third strike, sink or third strike, it's written.
00:18:05Once again, you see me bend the body down before.
00:18:07Why?
00:18:08Touch and go motion.
00:18:09Here's a lot of power coming up.
00:18:11Huh.
00:18:11Instead of doing our traditional down block, which leaves the whole body and face exposed for that combination,
00:18:18we turn in and we touch and go.
00:18:21We move to the next point.
00:18:22Because this, it's right there.
00:18:24Either it's there or it ain't there.
00:18:25I don't know what's going to happen to that hand.
00:18:27He's all of a sudden, he's not going to lose his left arm.
00:18:29It's there.
00:18:31You have to do that block nice and strong.
00:18:33So we use the touch and go method by turning the body in and up.
00:18:37Right there.
00:18:37In and up.
00:18:38Down.
00:18:38I'll show you this from a different angle.
00:18:40And up.
00:18:40Or down and up with the elbow.
00:18:43Down and up with the elbow.
00:18:44Down and up with the back fist.
00:18:46On a different reverse angle.
00:18:48So you can see that.
00:18:49It comes down and up.
00:18:51Down and we can call this horse hand strike.
00:18:53And believe me, it's fast.
00:18:54Because the hand will never get a chance to come out by the time you move.
00:18:58Touch and go.
00:19:00Or touch and elbow.
00:19:02And then go.
00:19:03Doesn't make a difference, but the key is not sustaining.
00:19:06Moving on to the next point.
00:19:07Number four strike.
00:19:08Show you before about dropping this left hand.
00:19:11This is the benefit to touch and go.
00:19:13Especially on number four.
00:19:15When you drop that left hand.
00:19:17Because you can go either way again.
00:19:18Once again.
00:19:19Look at the difference.
00:19:22Space.
00:19:24The most I got is a reverse punch over the top.
00:19:27And no control over the bottom hand.
00:19:30Because he's not going to stay there.
00:19:31He's going to pull the arm away.
00:19:35Or a shot to the rib.
00:19:37With the touch and go method.
00:19:38When you step in.
00:19:40Your body's in.
00:19:41Then if the man decided to pull back.
00:19:43Or shift back.
00:19:44You're right there with him.
00:19:47And at the same time you can strike.
00:19:50Here.
00:19:50Touch and go.
00:19:51Touch.
00:19:51And you can't see this here.
00:19:52But this is a palm now.
00:19:54Into the groin.
00:19:55Or touch.
00:19:56And a strike now.
00:19:57Into the eyes.
00:19:58And go.
00:19:59We're turning around.
00:20:00On a reverse angle.
00:20:02Touch.
00:20:03And go.
00:20:04That's it could be a grab.
00:20:06You can quickly.
00:20:07Go.
00:20:08Grab in and grab a handful of groin.
00:20:10Handful of inside thigh.
00:20:11Which is very painful.
00:20:12Or you can touch.
00:20:14And go.
00:20:15Into the eyes.
00:20:17The combination.
00:20:18Is yours.
00:20:19If you want to go high.
00:20:20Or if you want to go low.
00:20:21But the fact remains.
00:20:23Is that one.
00:20:23He don't get a chance to pull back.
00:20:25He don't get a chance to strike with the left hand.
00:20:27You can hit him low.
00:20:28You can hit him high.
00:20:29But when you hit him low.
00:20:30He's going to bend.
00:20:31When you know he's going to bend.
00:20:32Boom.
00:20:32Then you hit him high.
00:20:33Then you can push the hand over.
00:20:34And continue striking.
00:20:35Go into a whole different flow again.
00:20:38Five.
00:20:39Sidestep.
00:20:40Notice I did this before.
00:20:41Once again.
00:20:42The same movement for the secret that are stepping.
00:20:44And the V stepping.
00:20:44I'm not doing anything different.
00:20:46Right into the eyes.
00:20:47I touch.
00:20:48And I went.
00:20:48Here.
00:20:49Touch.
00:20:49Change his focus.
00:20:50Or.
00:20:51I could.
00:20:53Touch.
00:20:53Reverse punch.
00:20:55The old way.
00:20:59No guarantee he's going to be there.
00:21:02No guarantee.
00:21:02Once again.
00:21:04We're not fighting opponents with one arm.
00:21:07It's going to be there.
00:21:09See.
00:21:15Touch and go.
00:21:16Boom.
00:21:16There's no chance of that hand coming out.
00:21:19Because it's just again.
00:21:21When I touch.
00:21:22When I move out the way.
00:21:23Boom.
00:21:23I hit.
00:21:24So where's the opportunity for him to block or strike?
00:21:27Because as I'm blocking.
00:21:28I'm striking.
00:21:28As I'm touching.
00:21:29I'm going.
00:21:30As I'm touching.
00:21:31I am going.
00:21:32So that's what we call.
00:21:33Touch and go.
00:21:34And I'm going to break it down later on.
00:21:36And show you more technique.
00:21:37As we get into more combinations.
00:21:39But that's another method of our system that we use.
00:21:41Which is very effective.
00:21:42Which Professor V.
00:21:43Have been using for the longest time.
00:21:45To use for a smaller man.
00:21:47Against a bigger person.
00:21:49Touch and go.
00:21:50Okay.
00:21:51Now I just want to explain to you the concept.
00:21:53What we use against grabs and holds.
00:21:57Against grabs and holds.
00:21:59When someone is holding you.
00:22:00When someone is grabbing you.
00:22:01When someone got you pinned.
00:22:02Not going into technique again.
00:22:04Just the concept again.
00:22:05Concept is always so important.
00:22:07Because I can show you technique for hours and hours and hours.
00:22:09And you can't remember these techniques when you walk out of the street.
00:22:12And you apply them.
00:22:13By watching the video once or twice.
00:22:15But.
00:22:16If you understand the concept.
00:22:19If you understand the concept of what we are trying to get across to you.
00:22:24That will stay in your memory.
00:22:26The techniques become your own.
00:22:27What you make up.
00:22:28You make up according to the situation.
00:22:30The striking pattern.
00:22:31Because in the street.
00:22:32It's not going to be.
00:22:33Block one.
00:22:34Punch two.
00:22:34Kick three.
00:22:35Do this.
00:22:36Do that.
00:22:36It's not going to happen like that outside.
00:22:38Outside.
00:22:38Whatever you get.
00:22:39You get.
00:22:39Whatever is available to you.
00:22:40You take.
00:22:41Whatever you can get a chance to use.
00:22:43To get off.
00:22:43You do.
00:22:44So there's no set pattern.
00:22:46But the concept.
00:22:47Is what we try to get across.
00:22:49Concept.
00:22:49Before we use the touch and go concept.
00:22:51We use the low leg striking concept.
00:22:53We use the V.
00:22:54Jitso stepping.
00:22:55V.
00:22:55Stepping.
00:22:56Concept.
00:22:57Triangular stepping concept.
00:22:58Now we're going to show you the concept against grabs and holds.
00:23:01Pressing grabs you firmly.
00:23:03Get a good grab on you.
00:23:04And you know.
00:23:04A lot of martial arts stuff.
00:23:05People practice this.
00:23:07Grabbing the man.
00:23:08A man grabs you.
00:23:08Holds you.
00:23:09Hey.
00:23:09He's holding you.
00:23:10We work up a grab.
00:23:11The difference.
00:23:13Most people who train.
00:23:15Most martial arts forms and styles.
00:23:17They teach you distance.
00:23:19Break away from the man.
00:23:20Break the hole.
00:23:21Get away.
00:23:22Get your distance.
00:23:23So you can utilize your punch.
00:23:25And your kicks.
00:23:26Okay.
00:23:28In the V.
00:23:28Jitso concept.
00:23:30These two hands.
00:23:32Are what we consider dead hands.
00:23:34The hands are here.
00:23:35Not doing anything to you.
00:23:37But he's using them hands to try to intimidate you.
00:23:41He's using a method of intimidation.
00:23:43Now let's stop and think for a moment.
00:23:44We have our two hands free.
00:23:47And we have our two legs free.
00:23:49The man's focus is right here.
00:23:52As he's trying to intimidate you.
00:23:53Staring you eye to eye.
00:23:55Trying to scare you down.
00:23:56That's what he's trying to do right now.
00:23:58His focus is here.
00:24:00Where is his attention?
00:24:00Right here.
00:24:02Not down below.
00:24:04Not up here.
00:24:05You have your two hands free.
00:24:08That you can use.
00:24:09You have your legs free that you can hold.
00:24:11And start breaking and kicking his knees out.
00:24:14In the groin.
00:24:16And at the same time.
00:24:17You can utilize.
00:24:18If you have the skills.
00:24:20Of basic Jiu Jitsu.
00:24:21Or basic Judo.
00:24:23Or basic Aikido.
00:24:25To use circular motion.
00:24:26To strike.
00:24:27Turn them into locks.
00:24:30To use again.
00:24:31Jiu Jitsu.
00:24:32Taking it into breaks.
00:24:34Okay.
00:24:35To use your Judo.
00:24:36Taking it into a throw.
00:24:38Or you can take it into another hip throw.
00:24:40Choice is yours.
00:24:41All depends upon what skill you have.
00:24:44You have no skills at all.
00:24:45And this is what you're using.
00:24:46As a base.
00:24:47Then you stick to your bases.
00:24:49And you just shot.
00:24:51Break the person down.
00:24:52Kick.
00:24:53Hold.
00:24:53And utilize this type of striking.
00:24:55Quick, fast, and effective methods.
00:24:57The direct method.
00:24:58But if you have other martial arts skills.
00:25:00You want to try to apply them.
00:25:01But you don't want to give the person distance.
00:25:05Because one thing you have to remember about a street fight.
00:25:07And this is real people.
00:25:09You want to remember the street fight.
00:25:11No one is going to let you hurt them.
00:25:13No one.
00:25:14The second you try to defend yourself.
00:25:16That person is going to defend themselves.
00:25:18Even if they're a robber.
00:25:19You're forcing them to defend themselves.
00:25:21And no one wants to get hurt.
00:25:23And every motion you do.
00:25:24Will cause emotion.
00:25:26We are all taught the element of surprise.
00:25:29How do we use the element of surprise?
00:25:31Going back to the regis of concept.
00:25:33Hands up in a non-threatening manner.
00:25:34You beg.
00:25:35You plead.
00:25:36You do whatever you can to calm this man down.
00:25:39Because right now he's excited.
00:25:40He's hyper.
00:25:41He don't know what to expect.
00:25:42You do whatever you can.
00:25:43Mister, please.
00:25:44I got a wife.
00:25:45I got a kid.
00:25:45My wife is pregnant.
00:25:47Please don't hurt me.
00:25:48Whatever.
00:25:49Look, I got family, man.
00:25:50I got a couple dollars here.
00:25:51Yo, please.
00:25:51Oh my God.
00:25:52It is yours.
00:25:53Now he feels more comfortable.
00:25:55And all of this motion he's not even focusing on.
00:25:58Because you're submitting to what he wants.
00:26:01You're giving in.
00:26:02And as long as he feels that he have you.
00:26:04He got your upper hand.
00:26:05He's going to be more relaxed.
00:26:07But if you try some quick motion.
00:26:09Now everybody's body is hyper.
00:26:12Exciting.
00:26:13And looking for things to happen.
00:26:14So you want to calm this man down.
00:26:17Humble yourself in vain.
00:26:19Forget the machoism.
00:26:20Set yourself up so you can utilize.
00:26:22Please, mister.
00:26:23Boom.
00:26:24Element of surprise.
00:26:25I have my wife have kids.
00:26:27Please.
00:26:28Hey, I got.
00:26:28Let me tell you.
00:26:29I got family.
00:26:31So you can use the element of surprise.
00:26:35Very, very, very important.
00:26:38Concept.
00:26:39Another concept.
00:26:41One hand is being held.
00:26:42Same thing.
00:26:44What can he use to hurt you?
00:26:47One hand.
00:26:48Two feet.
00:26:49If it's a two-hand grab.
00:26:51No hands.
00:26:52Okay.
00:26:52If it's a body hold.
00:26:54What is to your disposal?
00:26:55What do you have available to you?
00:26:57You have your knees.
00:26:58Okay.
00:26:59His ear is right here.
00:27:01You can scream in his ear.
00:27:02Yo.
00:27:03Right in his eardrum.
00:27:05Okay.
00:27:05This is a concept that we use.
00:27:08Think about this for a second.
00:27:09People laugh when I tell them this and teach them this.
00:27:11This man is holding you.
00:27:13He's pinned.
00:27:13Your arms and your head is right pressed against him.
00:27:16Stick your tongue in his ear.
00:27:18He will let you go.
00:27:19He will let you go.
00:27:21And then after that, you've got an opportunity to do what you need to do.
00:27:25He's going to drop you.
00:27:26He's going to drop you.
00:27:28That's a different type of concept.
00:27:30Doing what you need to do.
00:27:31Back hold and back grabs.
00:27:34Once again, the difference.
00:27:36I see a lot of people, and I've seen through the years, people, they do not concentrate on what a
00:27:42back grab can become.
00:27:43They just show technique like the person has no skill, has no motion, no focus, no anything, no coordination.
00:27:49That he's going to let you throw his hands up in the air.
00:27:52No.
00:27:53The back grab, once you move, if you don't control the hands, will become a back choke.
00:27:59So you must control the hands.
00:28:01And the way we control the hand is by turning it in.
00:28:04Now, when he tries to rise and lift, no.
00:28:08So, you're aware, by pushing your butt out, your bottom out, moving left or moving right, depending upon if you're
00:28:14left-handed or right-handed, whatever you feel more comfortable with, it can allow you now to move out the
00:28:19way.
00:28:20And put yourself in a position now where you can work.
00:28:26Left or right, motion.
00:28:27Against a body hold.
00:28:29Okay?
00:28:30Also, what happens?
00:28:32When people move in a street fight, things are happening.
00:28:34You're moving.
00:28:35What about when a person may hold you here, you're struggling, you're moving, and then it becomes a headlock.
00:28:40What do you do?
00:28:41What can you do?
00:28:43Don't think that a person is going to hold you here and just hold you here.
00:28:46Once you start to move and shift and shuffle, that might become a headlock.
00:28:50Now, what are your options?
00:28:52What can you do?
00:28:54Person, again, grabs you, holds you.
00:28:56If you feel it slipping into a headlock, automatically, when they come in here, you know you've got the inside
00:29:01of the groin.
00:29:02You've got to poke to the eyes quickly.
00:29:03When you're slipping, you've got the circular motion turning.
00:29:06If the person grabs you and you feel that headlock coming on, from here, strike.
00:29:11You've got to duck your body.
00:29:12And you've got to feel these things because no one is going to just stand there and allow you to
00:29:17apply different things.
00:29:18But one thing can go to another, so you always have to be aware of that.
00:29:21And the V-GIS of concept is constant motion, flowing, breaking the person down.
00:29:26Okay, now we're going to go into the actual techniques, the defenses against those five basic angles of attack that
00:29:34we showed you before.
00:29:35Now, utilizing the V-stepping, the kun-ta, kicking, the triangular stepping, the touching goal, how it works and how
00:29:44it all breaks down against empty hand and against a weapon.
00:29:47Watch carefully because there's only five points of attack.
00:29:51But there's 20 different ways of doing that, defending against that five points of attack.
00:29:59And it's really, really interesting because it's not how much you know, it's how well you do what you know.
00:30:05If you try to think, oh, I've got all this fancy stuff, you're going to get lost.
00:30:08Keep it simple.
00:30:10Keep it basic.
00:30:11Man of many, master of none.
00:30:13Okay?
00:30:14Now we're going to work from hook punch, which is the number one strike.
00:30:18Coming to hook punch, touch and go.
00:30:20I'm working the hands first.
00:30:22Touch and go.
00:30:23I'm going to move slow.
00:30:23Touch and go.
00:30:24Hit.
00:30:25Strike and turn the hand over.
00:30:26Back.
00:30:27Palming.
00:30:28Hitting.
00:30:28He's just a boom.
00:30:29We use a lot of striking.
00:30:30Hitting under the throat.
00:30:31Chopping the neck.
00:30:32Knee in.
00:30:32Kicking the shin out.
00:30:33Blasting the shin out.
00:30:35Bang.
00:30:35That'll bring the man either completely down or over.
00:30:38Now lock it in.
00:30:39Arm bar.
00:30:40Turn it over.
00:30:43Knee here.
00:30:44Head.
00:30:45Start with your heel.
00:30:47Always checking your back.
00:30:49Pulling on to the wrist lock.
00:30:51And look, by leaning down on the leg, you have your break.
00:30:56Right there.
00:30:59Okay.
00:31:00Now, number two.
00:31:02One thing I want you to try to remember.
00:31:04Those techniques and the combinations, the hand combinations, it could be whatever.
00:31:08Whatever you see open.
00:31:10I'm moving very, very slowly so you can see the different options.
00:31:14Now, the first one we did, I showed you off a hook punch, touch and go.
00:31:18We're going to show this one again.
00:31:19Hook punch, touch and go.
00:31:21Watch.
00:31:21Main thing.
00:31:22I'm just using the hands.
00:31:23Touch and go.
00:31:24Move.
00:31:24Once I palm, I back fist, I hammer fist, I punch again, I hit, I shock.
00:31:29I'm aware of that left hand.
00:31:31And then I shock down to the groin to get it to bend.
00:31:33And then I chopped it to the throat.
00:31:34But what if he threw the left hand in combination with that?
00:31:40So he threw both of them.
00:31:41Just, you see how the touch and go will work?
00:31:44I work it slowly.
00:31:45Touch.
00:31:45Now, instead of this hand, punch.
00:31:48Instead of going to here, I stretch it to there.
00:31:51Now, I have my block.
00:31:54Automatic.
00:31:55So it's touch and go.
00:31:57I got my block.
00:31:58Now look at what I have open to me.
00:31:59I got the ears and the double ear smack.
00:32:03From the ears, I got the eyes into the throat.
00:32:06I got the knee right here into the headlock.
00:32:08I can use right now a headlock, take him down by breaking and just sliding out.
00:32:14But I don't want to commit myself to the floor.
00:32:16I don't want to be down on the floor.
00:32:18But from this point here, what I do is I turn, utilize the head.
00:32:22The head controls the body, turning the man around.
00:32:25Now, either I can choke him or I can just simply break him down.
00:32:30Once again, you don't want to drop down and here.
00:32:34No need to.
00:32:35Your feet are here.
00:32:36Your feet are on the ground.
00:32:38So no need to drop down.
00:32:40Whoa, stop him.
00:32:41Wham, kick him in the head.
00:32:42Whoa, snap.
00:32:43Look around.
00:32:43Who's next?
00:32:44Bang, drop a knee.
00:32:45Bang, drop a knee.
00:32:47No need for you to drop down.
00:32:51Your feet are on the ground.
00:32:51He's on the ground.
00:32:52Use your feet first.
00:32:53Okay.
00:32:53Now we're going to go into the second strike.
00:32:56The cross or the backhand strike.
00:32:58Number two strike on that pattern.
00:33:00Number two strike, the person coming here.
00:33:02Once again, utilizing touch and go.
00:33:03Touch and go.
00:33:05Don't waste no time.
00:33:06I touch, I went.
00:33:07Once I came off the touch and I went right from here.
00:33:10Now, once again, using the high and low concept.
00:33:13I go.
00:33:13I controlled his focus.
00:33:15Look at that leg.
00:33:17Here it comes.
00:33:18As I blocked off and I shot, chin strike.
00:33:21Boom.
00:33:21That'll bring the man down.
00:33:23Knee.
00:33:24Bring it right down.
00:33:25Knee him.
00:33:26Boom.
00:33:26Into the ribs.
00:33:28He's putting his weight on his hands.
00:33:31Kick the hand out.
00:33:32Right from there.
00:33:34Kick the hand out.
00:33:35And lean.
00:33:36Pressing him right down.
00:33:37Once again, looking over the shoulder.
00:33:40Mag try to rise.
00:33:42He got a hip.
00:33:43Oh, stomping his head.
00:33:44Once again, utilizing your knees.
00:33:47Oh, it's right here.
00:33:51And you don't have to worry about the person coming back up.
00:33:55But now, what if again, that big what if.
00:33:58What if he comes with that cross combination punch?
00:34:03You can't see it.
00:34:04Good for that angle, but watch it.
00:34:06I blocked and now here it comes.
00:34:08But there's no way.
00:34:09Slow motion, please.
00:34:11You're going to do this and then this.
00:34:13That takes you further away.
00:34:15Or this and then this.
00:34:17And then try to what?
00:34:20Takes you further away.
00:34:22Close the gap.
00:34:23Cut him off.
00:34:24Boom.
00:34:25Right here.
00:34:26And I'll show you that in slow motion.
00:34:28As you touch, here come the other hand.
00:34:30Block it.
00:34:31Now look.
00:34:32What do I do?
00:34:32Pull my hand back?
00:34:33We draw it?
00:34:33No.
00:34:34Right from where I am.
00:34:35Bang.
00:34:35Shock him.
00:34:36Hit him.
00:34:36Shock him.
00:34:37That'll carry him back.
00:34:38Or here.
00:34:39Shock.
00:34:40The knee again.
00:34:41The chin.
00:34:42Shock the chin out.
00:34:43Right here.
00:34:44Hammer for the kidney.
00:34:45Boom.
00:34:45Turn around.
00:34:47Lock the person up.
00:34:49Choke hold.
00:34:51Shock the leg.
00:34:52Bring him back down.
00:34:52Elbow in.
00:34:55Groin.
00:34:57He's landed right on my knee.
00:35:00Hammer fist.
00:35:00Hammer.
00:35:01The hardest strike you have is not a punch.
00:35:04Not your reverse punch.
00:35:05But a hammer fist.
00:35:08Hammer.
00:35:09Break his nose.
00:35:10Hammer him in the top of his head.
00:35:12Hammer him in his teeth.
00:35:13Double hammer him in his jaw.
00:35:15Knee him in the back of his neck.
00:35:18Raking the face down.
00:35:19And holding the chin.
00:35:21So the head don't bounce.
00:35:22So in case he's a judo man.
00:35:23Or a i-key man.
00:35:24Or a jiu-jitsu man.
00:35:25And he's going to tuck his neck.
00:35:26To stop his head from cracking.
00:35:28No.
00:35:29Pull the chin back.
00:35:30Right to the ground.
00:35:31And then once again, that knee comes right on.
00:35:35Knee.
00:35:35Bang.
00:35:36Right to his face.
00:35:36You don't have to worry about the feet.
00:35:38You don't have to worry about the knee because he believes it.
00:35:40He won't.
00:35:42There's always a chance for that what if.
00:35:45Push.
00:35:45Okay.
00:35:46Now we're up to the number three strike.
00:35:48Using the touch and go method.
00:35:50Alright.
00:35:50Number three strike using the touch and go method.
00:35:53On number three, once again.
00:35:54Remember.
00:35:54Number three was the uppercut strike.
00:35:56Come in here.
00:35:57And remember how I told you.
00:35:59We'll show this on your reverse angle.
00:36:01Remember how I told you that if you don't block down.
00:36:04Ooh.
00:36:04Ooh.
00:36:05It's going to come under and catch you in your rib.
00:36:06If you hold your hands out.
00:36:07Because it works up.
00:36:09Now on number three strike.
00:36:11When the man comes.
00:36:12Touch and go.
00:36:12I drop my body way down.
00:36:14Bringing the body of the man down.
00:36:16Now look when I go.
00:36:17This hand is going to shoot back.
00:36:19It just turns the face.
00:36:21From there when I turn the face.
00:36:22Now.
00:36:23Watch on the slight angle.
00:36:24As I come down.
00:36:26I turn the face.
00:36:26I grab behind the neck.
00:36:28Right into that chest.
00:36:30Hit.
00:36:31Turn.
00:36:31Uh.
00:36:32Knee.
00:36:32Now the shin kick.
00:36:34Blast the leg out.
00:36:36Man is right here.
00:36:37Head.
00:36:38Right on.
00:36:39Knee.
00:36:40Right on the head.
00:36:41It's right there.
00:36:42No time wasted.
00:36:43Show it from a different angle.
00:36:45Nothing is wasted.
00:36:47You come.
00:36:47You drop down.
00:36:48You come up.
00:36:49You chop.
00:36:50Uh.
00:36:51You knee.
00:36:51Boom.
00:36:52You blast the shin out.
00:36:55Drop the knee on the head.
00:36:56It's quick.
00:36:58It is fast.
00:37:00It's right there.
00:37:02Now I didn't get into jiu-jitsu.
00:37:03Lock in.
00:37:04Hole in.
00:37:05No.
00:37:06Quick direct method of self-defense people.
00:37:08Quick direct method of self-defense.
00:37:10That's what we're doing here.
00:37:12I could go into a whole bunch of artsy stuff.
00:37:15But without coming into the dojo and repetitious practice, you ain't doing it outside.
00:37:20But this, with a little bit of practice, and the concept more than anything else, you have no problem.
00:37:28Because it's breaking the man down.
00:37:29Touch and go.
00:37:30High and low concept.
00:37:31Now we're moving in to the fourth angle.
00:37:34Number four.
00:37:36Okay?
00:37:37On number four, remember, once again, without, I drop my hand.
00:37:41Why?
00:37:42If I decided to do this, on number four, what'll happen?
00:37:47The man will strike and hit.
00:37:49It's right there.
00:37:50Right?
00:37:51Four.
00:37:51So I drop my hand.
00:37:53Prevents the hand from sliding up and coming.
00:37:56If there's a weapon in the hand, it's slicing me across my face.
00:38:00Okay?
00:38:01Number four.
00:38:03Touch.
00:38:04Four.
00:38:05I go.
00:38:05Come around the face.
00:38:06Now look at this hand.
00:38:08Watch.
00:38:08Bam!
00:38:10Right into a person's ear.
00:38:12Right into a person's ear.
00:38:13Knocking a man back four feet.
00:38:15Stomping.
00:38:16Locking the arm out.
00:38:17Chocking.
00:38:18Into the groin.
00:38:19Grabbing around the neck.
00:38:20Into the eyes.
00:38:22Automatically.
00:38:22Turning the face.
00:38:23Bing!
00:38:24Hitting from that angle.
00:38:25Now once again, look at the shin.
00:38:27Cracking the shin.
00:38:28Break the leg.
00:38:29Person is back.
00:38:30Now look at that knee.
00:38:31Bam!
00:38:32Just jump up.
00:38:33Bam!
00:38:34And put it right in that chest.
00:38:36Of that opponent.
00:38:37Grab him in the groin.
00:38:38As you're hitting him there.
00:38:42More do you need?
00:38:44Show that.
00:38:45Number four from a different angle.
00:38:47I block.
00:38:49Chalk into the groin.
00:38:50This hand.
00:38:51Left hand.
00:38:52Comes around the eye.
00:38:54Turning.
00:38:55Turning the face.
00:38:56Smacking it with the left hand.
00:38:58From this point, as I smacked it with the left hand, I kick the shin out.
00:39:03Push on the back of the leg.
00:39:05Dropping the man down.
00:39:06Knee to the face.
00:39:08Bam!
00:39:09Into the chest.
00:39:10Bam!
00:39:12Yanking on the groin.
00:39:15Look around.
00:39:16But what if?
00:39:21Slow motion.
00:39:22What if?
00:39:23When I did this, he came to that with the face.
00:39:27Touch and go.
00:39:28Watch how we're working slow.
00:39:30How it works.
00:39:30This.
00:39:31Now it came off.
00:39:32Once again.
00:39:33I can use my double strike to the fist.
00:39:36Anytime a man strikes you twice, cut him off.
00:39:39Here.
00:39:40Boom.
00:39:40Right there.
00:39:41Knee again.
00:39:42Chin again.
00:39:44Forearm.
00:39:45To the face.
00:39:47Headbutt.
00:39:47Boom.
00:39:48It's all there.
00:39:49Kneeing.
00:39:50Shit kicking.
00:39:51Forearm.
00:39:52Headbutt.
00:39:53Take him down.
00:39:54So it's a guy kicking and stomping.
00:39:58Again.
00:39:59Number four strike.
00:40:01With the punch.
00:40:02There it goes.
00:40:03Look at the man.
00:40:04If I forget everything.
00:40:06Look at that leg.
00:40:10Take the man right out.
00:40:12What if?
00:40:13That leg ain't there.
00:40:16And there's no leg.
00:40:18Switch legs.
00:40:19And there's no leg to sweep.
00:40:21Opposite leg.
00:40:23That's all.
00:40:23If you can't sweep, cross this way.
00:40:25And this is what he's giving you.
00:40:27After you shock him.
00:40:28Shock him again.
00:40:30Take the opposite side out.
00:40:32It's right there.
00:40:34Drop your knees on the opponent.
00:40:38I want to backtrack for one moment.
00:40:41If I can.
00:40:43And I want to go back to number three.
00:40:44With the variation.
00:40:46With the punch.
00:40:46Because I did not show you the what if.
00:40:49With number three.
00:40:50So I'll go right into that now.
00:40:52Number three.
00:40:53Was the inside strike.
00:40:54Now with a punch.
00:40:57Your hand came down.
00:40:59I came up.
00:41:00I came down.
00:41:02I come up.
00:41:03Switch it around so you can see.
00:41:05Number three.
00:41:06Down and up.
00:41:07See how I pull.
00:41:08I withdraw my body.
00:41:09Throw my body back.
00:41:10Now because the punch is there.
00:41:11Okay.
00:41:12Before number three.
00:41:13I came here.
00:41:13And turned the face.
00:41:15Down.
00:41:16And turned the face.
00:41:17But now.
00:41:18Because he's double punching.
00:41:20Now I see the body motion.
00:41:21There is no way in the world.
00:41:23For this man to punch.
00:41:24And not move his shoulder.
00:41:25Punch please.
00:41:26And his shoulder stay there.
00:41:27Once he punches.
00:41:29That shoulder is going to move.
00:41:30You just withdraw your body.
00:41:31And put your hand up.
00:41:32Now look.
00:41:33I'm holding.
00:41:34Feeling the two hands.
00:41:37Boom.
00:41:37Into the groin.
00:41:38Wham.
00:41:39I got the thigh.
00:41:40From that right off of there.
00:41:41Right from here.
00:41:42I move back.
00:41:43He punches.
00:41:46I got it.
00:41:47I got a groin strike.
00:41:48Once again.
00:41:49Boom.
00:41:49Knee.
00:41:49Once again.
00:41:50Come across the front.
00:41:51With punches.
00:41:52And elbow.
00:41:53Take the man around.
00:41:55Snap the neck up.
00:41:57This is called uchigari.
00:41:59If you know it.
00:42:00Use it.
00:42:01Uchigari.
00:42:02If you don't know it.
00:42:04Try to learn it.
00:42:05Very effective throw.
00:42:08Open the man up.
00:42:10Put your knee inside.
00:42:12Go on.
00:42:12Right from here.
00:42:13Heel.
00:42:13Into his chest.
00:42:16Walk off.
00:42:17Stomping him in the face.
00:42:20And looking around.
00:42:22In the last two techniques.
00:42:23And this one.
00:42:24We're using equipment.
00:42:27To show you the impact of the shot.
00:42:30Okay.
00:42:30The head gear.
00:42:32Because the touching goal.
00:42:33Is fast.
00:42:34It's fast.
00:42:35A hook punch.
00:42:35The touching goal.
00:42:37It's fast.
00:42:38The person never know they hit.
00:42:39You hit them three times.
00:42:40Before they even know.
00:42:42They've been hit once.
00:42:43That was three strikes.
00:42:44Before they even know they were hit once.
00:42:46Because the strike is here.
00:42:48Backhand.
00:42:49Hammer.
00:42:49Palm.
00:42:50Repetition.
00:42:51Ba-da-da-da.
00:42:51It comes one after the other.
00:42:53So that is the purpose.
00:42:55For the head gear.
00:42:56And you understand why we're using it.
00:42:58Because it comes very fast.
00:43:00On number five.
00:43:01Person is attacking the stomach.
00:43:03Side step.
00:43:03Look at this palm.
00:43:04Comes right under the chin.
00:43:06Make sure your opponent's mouth is closed when you do this.
00:43:09And you're going to crack his teeth.
00:43:10You come from side step here.
00:43:12Palm.
00:43:13Boom.
00:43:13Shoving the head right back.
00:43:15The whole head.
00:43:16The body shoved right back.
00:43:17Now what happens if you did this?
00:43:21Drop back.
00:43:25Or even if you step forward.
00:43:30Option.
00:43:31He can kick.
00:43:32He can side step.
00:43:32He can move.
00:43:34But if you just step back to the side.
00:43:37And palm.
00:43:38He's going to move back people.
00:43:40So.
00:43:41Do not.
00:43:42Repeat.
00:43:43Do not do this.
00:43:44This is not what I'm showing you.
00:43:46Because now he's got an opportunity to pull out his gun.
00:43:48Pull out his knife.
00:43:50No.
00:43:50You got to stay with him.
00:43:52And I'm going to show you this very slowly.
00:43:54When he came for the five.
00:43:56You step.
00:43:57You palm.
00:43:57You follow him.
00:43:58Boom.
00:43:59Kneeing.
00:44:00Elbowing.
00:44:01Punching.
00:44:01Palming.
00:44:02Kneeing.
00:44:03Hitting with the elbow.
00:44:04The back of the neck.
00:44:05Once again.
00:44:05I could turn the head.
00:44:06Or I could just side step.
00:44:08And kick the shin out.
00:44:09Boom.
00:44:10I love them shin strikers.
00:44:11They work and they're effective.
00:44:12Here.
00:44:13Anytime you get a real big man down.
00:44:16And you're a small person.
00:44:19Snap his ankles.
00:44:21Make sure.
00:44:22That he don't come back at you.
00:44:24Right here.
00:44:24Crack.
00:44:25That will cripple him.
00:44:27Everything you got.
00:44:28Crack.
00:44:29Now at least you know when you run away.
00:44:32He's not chasing you.
00:44:33He's not running after you.
00:44:34Once again.
00:44:35The concept.
00:44:36Concept of the system.
00:44:38Number five.
00:44:39With the punch.
00:44:40If I did this.
00:44:41And I'll come in the palm.
00:44:42But before I palm.
00:44:43He threw that punch.
00:44:44Where are we again?
00:44:45You see how.
00:44:46You notice how we wind up back here again all the time.
00:44:48With my two hands just inside of the man.
00:44:52This is a lot better place to be.
00:44:54Because the two hands are here.
00:44:56I got that.
00:44:56That comes very quick.
00:44:58Very quick.
00:44:59Boom.
00:45:00Even with the gear on.
00:45:02That your opponent tried.
00:45:03You feel it.
00:45:04When he came from here.
00:45:05Number five.
00:45:06Boom.
00:45:07Block.
00:45:07Right here.
00:45:08Double.
00:45:08Even if you did single.
00:45:09Watch.
00:45:10Slap him this way.
00:45:11Slap him that way.
00:45:13Palm him that way.
00:45:14Knee him this way.
00:45:15Kick his shin out.
00:45:16Hold the head down.
00:45:17Because notice what I did.
00:45:18I kicked the shin.
00:45:20Bang.
00:45:20And now I'm grabbing the back of the collar.
00:45:22Because I'm going to knee him in his face.
00:45:24Whoa.
00:45:25Whoa.
00:45:26Whoa.
00:45:26And driving.
00:45:29I'm not giving him an opportunity to put his head up.
00:45:32And because I am back here.
00:45:33I don't let him go and go.
00:45:35To here.
00:45:36No.
00:45:37I stay here.
00:45:38I.
00:45:38Uh.
00:45:39Make sure.
00:45:40Uh.
00:45:41Uh.
00:45:41He's hit.
00:45:42And shot.
00:45:42Then I can.
00:45:43Boom.
00:45:43Run over here.
00:45:44And watch my back.
00:45:47Always strike to the closest point first.
00:45:50Listen.
00:45:51Listen.
00:45:52Okay.
00:45:52Now I'm going to show you.
00:45:54Same points of attack.
00:45:56But.
00:45:58Before I started out with the touch and go.
00:46:00Now I'm going to start out with the feet.
00:46:02Watch the difference.
00:46:04And.
00:46:04Combinate the hand.
00:46:05Okay.
00:46:06And while I'm doing.
00:46:07The feet.
00:46:08With the hand.
00:46:09If the opportunity presents itself.
00:46:12To apply locks.
00:46:14And holes.
00:46:16Then I will apply the jiu jitsu part.
00:46:18Of the system.
00:46:20Okay.
00:46:21Same number one strike.
00:46:24Sidestep.
00:46:25And watch my feet move.
00:46:27I started from this angle.
00:46:28So you can see.
00:46:29I sidestep.
00:46:30I blocked to keep myself out of harm's way.
00:46:34But watch the feet move.
00:46:36Shocking.
00:46:37Hitting.
00:46:37Shocking.
00:46:38Hitting.
00:46:38Kicking.
00:46:39Boom.
00:46:39Switch to the opposite side.
00:46:41You notice how those shots were.
00:46:42Here.
00:46:42Here.
00:46:43Here.
00:46:43Shot.
00:46:44Grabbing.
00:46:45Now you saw my hands come at the plate.
00:46:46Grabbing.
00:46:48Boom.
00:46:48Kneeing.
00:46:49Uh.
00:46:50Kneeing.
00:46:50Kneeing.
00:46:51Kneeing.
00:46:52Kneeing.
00:46:52Kneeing.
00:46:53Kneeing.
00:46:54Man is severely shocked.
00:46:56Now you notice he's holding on to me.
00:46:58Because he's desperate.
00:47:01Now if I wanted to.
00:47:02I can go into jiu-jitsu.
00:47:03I can grab an arm.
00:47:04And apply an arm bar.
00:47:05Ah.
00:47:07Because he's holding me out of desperation.
00:47:10I could do that.
00:47:11But there's no way in the world.
00:47:14I could have done that.
00:47:17In the beginning.
00:47:19Without shocking it.
00:47:21Because as soon as I go for his hand.
00:47:22He's going to pull it away.
00:47:23And the motion is going to cause motion.
00:47:25So don't believe that.
00:47:27Don't believe that you're going to take someone's hand out of mid-air.
00:47:29And just.
00:47:31Come on.
00:47:31It's movies now.
00:47:32Like they do in the movies.
00:47:34Apply an arm bar.
00:47:36That's not will.
00:47:38Everybody's moving.
00:47:40But people in the movies.
00:47:41They do it.
00:47:41And he's like.
00:47:42Oh yeah.
00:47:42I'm going to.
00:47:42Just apply this arm bar.
00:47:45I'm just going to break his arm.
00:47:46No.
00:47:46He's not going to just let you.
00:47:48Break his arm.
00:47:49You have to earn.
00:47:51The right.
00:47:52To break that arm.
00:47:53Or you have to.
00:47:55Shock him so bad.
00:47:57And when the opportunity presents itself.
00:47:59Then.
00:48:01You go into.
00:48:02The breaks.
00:48:03So after the shock.
00:48:05For me.
00:48:07Blocking.
00:48:08Shocking.
00:48:08And I held him.
00:48:10And when I shock him.
00:48:11He will be holding me.
00:48:13And look at my hand now.
00:48:14Utilizing feet.
00:48:15Boom.
00:48:16Here.
00:48:16Here.
00:48:17Now hand.
00:48:18Boom.
00:48:18Boom.
00:48:19Here.
00:48:20The knee in like I did.
00:48:21The repetitious knee in.
00:48:22Notice how he's grabbing on.
00:48:24Now I can go.
00:48:27Into.
00:48:28My arm bar.
00:48:29That's the only way you're going to get there.
00:48:31No other way.
00:48:33Then I can take it down and break that arm.
00:48:36Or.
00:48:37From this point.
00:48:38Here.
00:48:39If I didn't want to use the arm bar.
00:48:40As a lock.
00:48:42I could have gone into a neck hole.
00:48:44Snapped his neck like this.
00:48:45In this motion.
00:48:47Choke him out.
00:48:50Or.
00:48:51If.
00:48:52I was a judo player.
00:48:54From this position.
00:48:56And this throw.
00:48:57I would automatically take him.
00:48:58To top of my head.
00:49:00Which I could do.
00:49:02The choices are yours.
00:49:04Dependent.
00:49:06All depends what it is you do.
00:49:09If you got judo skills.
00:49:10Then the man is there.
00:49:11You take him into a throw.
00:49:13If you're a jiu-jitsu man.
00:49:14And you like to lock.
00:49:15Lock him up.
00:49:17Whatever you want to do.
00:49:18Choice is yours.
00:49:19Now we're going into the second motion.
00:49:22Number two strike.
00:49:23Once again.
00:49:23Utilize his feet first.
00:49:25Side stepping.
00:49:27Chocking.
00:49:28Chocking.
00:49:28Boom.
00:49:29Hand and feet.
00:49:30I'll show you that from a different angle.
00:49:32I'm trying to move as slow as I possibly can.
00:49:34Look at what you have.
00:49:36Point.
00:49:37Shot.
00:49:37Right here.
00:49:38As you shot.
00:49:39You know like you ever had a piece of wood against a wall.
00:49:42And you lined it up.
00:49:43And you said.
00:49:44Yeah.
00:49:45Or you might have done like this.
00:49:46With your opposite leg.
00:49:47Yeah.
00:49:48To break that piece of wood that was lined up against the wall.
00:49:50That you wanted broken.
00:49:52Number two strike.
00:49:53I picked up the leg.
00:49:55I shot.
00:49:55But let's just say that shock wasn't effective.
00:49:58He didn't go down.
00:50:00The opposite leg.
00:50:01Uh.
00:50:03Breaks it.
00:50:04Make him go down.
00:50:05Now that he's on his knees.
00:50:07Shock him again.
00:50:08You can't see this.
00:50:10Uh.
00:50:10To the chest area.
00:50:11Knee.
00:50:12Uh.
00:50:13To the spine.
00:50:14Punching.
00:50:14Boom.
00:50:15To the head.
00:50:16Forearm.
00:50:16Uh.
00:50:17To the face.
00:50:18And I have to turn that one around so you can see it.
00:50:21That is here.
00:50:22Foot up.
00:50:23Just didn't take him down.
00:50:25The opposite one took him down.
00:50:27Boom.
00:50:27Kick to the rib.
00:50:29Smack to the head.
00:50:30Punch to the head.
00:50:31Knee to the spine.
00:50:32Right here.
00:50:33Hold that head.
00:50:34It's like holding it.
00:50:35Whoa.
00:50:36Drill it.
00:50:37Forearm.
00:50:37Whoa.
00:50:38Of course.
00:50:39Lift the neck up.
00:50:40Hammer fist.
00:50:41Into the throat.
00:50:43Or the heart.
00:50:43Right here.
00:50:44Yeah.
00:50:45From this point.
00:50:46Hit it.
00:50:47Drop down.
00:50:48Whoa.
00:50:48Into the groin.
00:50:50Back.
00:50:50Into the ears.
00:50:52Boom.
00:50:52Smack it.
00:50:53Once again.
00:50:54Pulling down.
00:50:55Heel.
00:50:56Your heel.
00:50:57Jump up with your heel.
00:50:59Whoa.
00:51:00Into the chest area.
00:51:01Take all the wind.
00:51:03All the fight.
00:51:04All the enthusiasm.
00:51:06Out of the man.
00:51:08And then you move on.
00:51:14Using, again, that shot.
00:51:17Notice, I lifted the leg up first.
00:51:20Triangular stepping.
00:51:21If I do V-stepping.
00:51:23If I do V-stepping, as I bring my leg like this, I shot to the shin by coming across
00:51:28right
00:51:29here.
00:51:30It's the quickest and easiest defense.
00:51:32Anytime someone attacks you on this angle, that number two angle, put your hands up, bang, and kick your shins
00:51:39out.
00:51:39It's the easiest thing to do.
00:51:43Easy.
00:51:44Move yourself out of harm's way.
00:51:46Shin to shin.
00:51:48Man is going down.
00:51:50And if he doesn't, and he just bends, you holding, you shocking, this allows you to apply to you just
00:51:58so now.
00:51:58Watch how it looks when you're shocking the man.
00:52:01Boom.
00:52:02You shot.
00:52:03You broke the elbow.
00:52:04Right here.
00:52:05Break.
00:52:06You can now, after you break this way, you can break that way.
00:52:12Slide in.
00:52:14Armbar.
00:52:14Cross the motion here.
00:52:16If the man try to pull his arm back, you don't resist.
00:52:19You just turn.
00:52:23And go with.
00:52:26Knock him up.
00:52:27Now, some of you who may be into the Aikido, after you came here, shock him, break him, hit it,
00:52:35break it.
00:52:35Now, I came to the inside.
00:52:37I elbowed.
00:52:38I shock to the ground.
00:52:39I elbow to the face.
00:52:40I step across.
00:52:41And you use my...
00:52:43For the guy's stroke.
00:52:47And the man right there.
00:52:53Listen.
00:52:54I'd just like to explain this.
00:52:56The techniques that we do, they look extremely violent.
00:53:01We do...
00:53:02We use a practice where we go above and beyond.
00:53:05The reason why we go above and beyond is to make sure, one, we don't stop in a street self
00:53:12-defense situation.
00:53:13Sometimes, you can shock a person, hit a person, and you think what you did was good enough.
00:53:18But it's not.
00:53:19And the individual will come back up or pop back up and come back after you.
00:53:24So, we practice with the concept, we want to make sure that the person does not jump back up and
00:53:32come back after you.
00:53:33Now, also remember, at any point in time, while we're doing these strikes and hitting, if the person goes down,
00:53:42you, as an individual, have to make that decision.
00:53:45Should I stop?
00:53:47Is my life still in danger?
00:53:49Is the person still threatening me?
00:53:52Am I still have the fear of being hurt?
00:53:57Do I still have the fear of being hurt?
00:53:59You have to ask yourself these questions.
00:54:01And you've got to ask yourself these questions in a matter of seconds.
00:54:04But you do not, you do not, by no matter what means and circumstance, just follow from beginning to end
00:54:11right through and just finish a person off.
00:54:15Because then you're going to have to be responsible for your action.
00:54:18The system just teaches you consistency.
00:54:21How to go from beginning to end.
00:54:24From beginning to end.
00:54:25And what if to look around, to be prepared for the other person or his friends or his buddy.
00:54:31You never know.
00:54:33But you do not want to think in your mind that one or two blows.
00:54:37And I come from a traditional Qaddafi background system.
00:54:40And I was telling you, you do not want to have the frame of mind where it's going to be
00:54:44punch.
00:54:45Yeah!
00:54:46And the man is going to be finished.
00:54:47Because you're in for a rude awakening.
00:54:50A rude awakening.
00:54:52One punch.
00:54:54Not too many people I know can throw one punch and take a man out.
00:54:58One kick.
00:54:59Not too many people I know can kick a man one time like you see Jean-Claude Van Damme do
00:55:04it in the movies and take a man out.
00:55:06And that attacker never come back again.
00:55:10Being realistic.
00:55:11This is a self-defense system.
00:55:15We're not sports karate.
00:55:18We're self-defense system.
00:55:20And we practice street self-defense.
00:55:24Okay?
00:55:25So, with that in mind, please understand when you see what it is that we're doing,
00:55:29do not look at it and go, oh, these guys are violent and they're harmful and they want to kill
00:55:33people or break.
00:55:34No, that's not our intention.
00:55:36The name of our system is just a way of harmony.
00:55:39We build people.
00:55:40We build character.
00:55:41We build people.
00:55:42We teach you.
00:55:43We don't show you.
00:55:44We don't want you to go out there and kill anybody.
00:55:47Okay.
00:55:48Now, with that, we're going to continue into the next technique.
00:55:51Number three strike.
00:55:55Number three strike coming in.
00:55:56You're using footwork again.
00:55:58Strike it with the feet first.
00:56:00Got the knee.
00:56:01Look at the points.
00:56:02You got the kneecap there.
00:56:04You got the kneecap there.
00:56:05You got the groin there.
00:56:07Once again, when you do this, it's repetitious.
00:56:10So, the man never get a chance, boom, to throw the punch because it's in one constant motion.
00:56:15The punch ain't going to come out.
00:56:16And when you do this, your hands are not by your side.
00:56:19Your hands are up.
00:56:20Because when you're moving, bang, boom, you're ready to capitalize.
00:56:24Because when you get kicked in the groin, it's bending.
00:56:27It's bending into what?
00:56:28The closest target.
00:56:30Bang!
00:56:30Into the fist.
00:56:32You shock it.
00:56:34Boom!
00:56:35Into that fist.
00:56:36Closest target.
00:56:37Knee.
00:56:38Next closest target.
00:56:40Shin.
00:56:40Next closest target.
00:56:42Chopping the neck.
00:56:43Right here.
00:56:43Now, I'm exposed for an arm bar.
00:56:45Break.
00:56:48Take the person right down.
00:56:51Knee to head.
00:56:52To knee.
00:56:53I'm watching my back.
00:56:54Now, fingers.
00:56:57Very important.
00:56:58Finger locking.
00:56:59If a man's fingers is exposed, use the locks because they hurt.
00:57:06Extremely painful.
00:57:07And a great method of controlling an opponent.
00:57:11Lock him up.
00:57:13Check your back.
00:57:14Fingers.
00:57:15See if you can get this.
00:57:18Great method of controlling a big man.
00:57:22Automatic.
00:57:23Right there.
00:57:24Reverse the angle, please.
00:57:27Number three.
00:57:28Hit.
00:57:29Shocking.
00:57:29Shocking.
00:57:30Shocking.
00:57:30Right there.
00:57:31He dropped.
00:57:32Kick that shin out.
00:57:33Here.
00:57:34Right there.
00:57:35Here.
00:57:35Great.
00:57:36Boom!
00:57:37That'll pull him right down.
00:57:38Turn it over.
00:57:39Look.
00:57:40Look at him out.
00:57:41What do I have?
00:57:42I can use the fingers.
00:57:45Exposed.
00:57:46Boom!
00:57:47It's the shin.
00:57:47Here.
00:57:48Drop.
00:57:52Out of harm's way.
00:57:54Hit.
00:57:56Listen.
00:57:59Number four.
00:58:03Notice how I get out of the way.
00:58:05Watch this.
00:58:06Watch this.
00:58:09Just by lifting my leg, pulling.
00:58:11I come right behind the man.
00:58:13Slow motion.
00:58:14Look at where the strike is.
00:58:17Look at where the strike is and look at where my hand is, my body.
00:58:20I'm out of the way.
00:58:22As opposed to jumping back.
00:58:28Take it in.
00:58:29I'm out of the way.
00:58:30Out of harm's way.
00:58:32Break the leg.
00:58:34Breaking the leg.
00:58:35Kick in the shin.
00:58:36Top of the neck.
00:58:38Knee in the face.
00:58:39Turning the head.
00:58:43Knee in the head.
00:58:45Chest.
00:58:46This is what we call a pigeon hole.
00:58:50Extremely painful hole.
00:58:53Bang.
00:58:54Right from this position.
00:58:57What the pigeon allows you to do, total control.
00:59:01If you want to break it, that's up to you.
00:59:04Hey.
00:59:06Now we are going into number five.
00:59:08Utilizing, once again, feet and hands.
00:59:10It all comes together.
00:59:12Feet and hands.
00:59:14Number five.
00:59:15Side-stepping.
00:59:16Notice the leg is up.
00:59:17Right there.
00:59:17Look at the chest.
00:59:18Boom.
00:59:19Right there.
00:59:19It's up.
00:59:20Boom.
00:59:21Right there.
00:59:21You catch a man.
00:59:22Now the next shot.
00:59:23Into the kneecap.
00:59:25Take the man down.
00:59:26He's still not all the way to the ground.
00:59:28So what now?
00:59:29Utilize my hands.
00:59:30Striking.
00:59:31Punching.
00:59:32Kneeing.
00:59:33Kneeing.
00:59:34Now from here, if I want to utilize my jiu-jitsu, I can choke him out.
00:59:40I can choke him out.
00:59:43Or, here, I can use again, armbar.
00:59:48Drive him down.
00:59:50Or, when I'm at this point here, I can use my jiu-jitsu.
00:59:54From the C-Lock.
00:59:57Painful.
00:59:58Turning the C-Lock from the C-Lock into the finger lock.
01:00:02It is extremely painful.
01:00:04Man is right there.
01:00:06Looking around, you've got a total of full control.
01:00:09Notice when I do the finger lock.
01:00:12I'm pressing back against the base.
01:00:15Creating a base on my thigh.
01:00:17On my thigh with the leg.
01:00:21And applying the lock right here.
01:00:23To get the man down, completely down to the ground.
01:00:26My knee.
01:00:29Right in that joint here.
01:00:30And then from this.
01:00:31Once again, if the hands slip out, who cares?
01:00:35If the hands slip out, who cares?
01:00:38It's just right to the floor.
01:00:41Just lean a little pressure to the knee.
01:00:43Put your knee.
01:00:44Push.
01:00:45Now I'm going to show you footwork.
01:00:48V-stepping.
01:00:50Triangular stepping.
01:00:51Touch and go.
01:00:53Against a weapon.
01:00:54The man will have the weapon.
01:00:56And I will just be using my empty hand.
01:00:58I'll show you how the footwork gets you into position.
01:01:01So you can do what you need to do.
01:01:02And keep yourself out of harm's way.
01:01:05Right?
01:01:05We'll be attacking with the same thing.
01:01:07Press is coming number one.
01:01:08Touch and go.
01:01:09Look up on the inside.
01:01:10The weapon is out here.
01:01:11The weapon is behind me.
01:01:13Boom.
01:01:13Touch and go.
01:01:15And a go.
01:01:17Got what I need.
01:01:18Number two.
01:01:20Two.
01:01:20The weapon.
01:01:21The man comes.
01:01:22Boom.
01:01:22Weapon is behind me.
01:01:24Once again.
01:01:25Behind me.
01:01:26Shin.
01:01:26I showed at an opposite angle.
01:01:29Coming number two.
01:01:30Look at my hands right here.
01:01:31I got the break.
01:01:32Shin.
01:01:33Boom.
01:01:33I got the shit.
01:01:34Shocking.
01:01:34Locking.
01:01:36Winning.
01:01:37Knee to the face.
01:01:38Pulling him down.
01:01:43Number three.
01:01:44In.
01:01:45Look at the weapon is here.
01:01:46In.
01:01:47Elbow.
01:01:47Boom.
01:01:48Elbow.
01:01:49Hammer.
01:01:50Knee in.
01:01:51Kicking the shin out.
01:01:53Again.
01:01:53Let me show you that number three from a different angle.
01:01:57Look at the body.
01:01:58Press.
01:01:58Look at the elbow.
01:02:00Elbow.
01:02:00Back fist.
01:02:01Hitting.
01:02:02Once I get the head.
01:02:04To go up.
01:02:05I work the lower part of the body.
01:02:07Here.
01:02:08Here.
01:02:08Here.
01:02:09Ah.
01:02:09Take a knock.
01:02:10Knee.
01:02:11Weapon is.
01:02:13Like if it ain't even there.
01:02:16Number four.
01:02:19Notice the block.
01:02:20Weapon is behind me.
01:02:22Slow motion.
01:02:23Number four.
01:02:24Watch.
01:02:25What happens.
01:02:26In.
01:02:29Right there.
01:02:30Grab.
01:02:31Pulling the collar.
01:02:34Like it's not even there.
01:02:37Number four.
01:02:38As he blocking.
01:02:40Shocking.
01:02:41Into the eyes.
01:02:41Popping the head.
01:02:42Shocking the shin.
01:02:43Breaking the mouth.
01:02:48Number five.
01:02:51Shocking.
01:02:52Knee in.
01:02:52Knee in.
01:02:53Pulling.
01:02:54Quick.
01:02:55Fast.
01:02:56And effective.
01:02:58No game playing.
01:02:59No game playing.
01:03:01Out the way.
01:03:01Shot.
01:03:02Touch.
01:03:02Go.
01:03:03Move.
01:03:03In and out.
01:03:04That's it.
01:03:05Now I'm going to show you.
01:03:06When.
01:03:08You may have a weapon.
01:03:10But.
01:03:10The only thing is now.
01:03:12I'm utilizing.
01:03:14The honest movements.
01:03:16The same secretarial pattern.
01:03:18That I showed you earlier.
01:03:20Collar bone.
01:03:21Collar bone.
01:03:22Rib.
01:03:22Rib.
01:03:23And thrusting.
01:03:24The same thing I'm going to use to defend myself.
01:03:27Everything we've done this far.
01:03:29We have it variated.
01:03:31From the original five basic points of attack.
01:03:34He's coming number one.
01:03:36I'm striking number one.
01:03:38To that forearm.
01:03:39Then touch and go.
01:03:40The same concept.
01:03:41Touch.
01:03:42And go.
01:03:43And go.
01:03:44And go.
01:03:45And go.
01:03:46That'll be enough.
01:03:47The man should be down.
01:03:48By that point.
01:03:50When you came and you did this.
01:03:51One again.
01:03:52When you shot that hand.
01:03:54Change that focus.
01:03:56Whoa.
01:03:56Hit that knee.
01:03:57That man should be down.
01:03:59By that point.
01:04:01Number two.
01:04:02He's striking number two.
01:04:03I'm doing.
01:04:05Number two.
01:04:06Number two.
01:04:06I'm doing number two.
01:04:07So if I move myself out of harm's way.
01:04:10Again.
01:04:11I got the hand.
01:04:12Hit the hand.
01:04:13I can hit him.
01:04:14Change the focus.
01:04:14Break the leg.
01:04:15Pull.
01:04:16Cross there.
01:04:17Now.
01:04:17Cross the back.
01:04:18Once again.
01:04:18Push.
01:04:20This without getting fancy.
01:04:24Number three.
01:04:27Hand.
01:04:28Shot can right down.
01:04:29I'm doing number three.
01:04:32Cross the face.
01:04:33Change the focus.
01:04:35Cross the knee.
01:04:36Collar ball.
01:04:37Hit.
01:04:38Always breaking the man down.
01:04:40One of those three or four strikes are going to take him down.
01:04:42Number three again.
01:04:45What if.
01:04:47What if that hand comes.
01:04:49Just back.
01:04:50Back.
01:04:50The same thing when you did here.
01:04:52Here.
01:04:53Before when I showed you empty hand.
01:04:55No difference.
01:04:56Except now I got 26 inches to play with.
01:04:58Here.
01:04:58Boom.
01:04:59And you're shot.
01:05:00So number three.
01:05:02You do number three.
01:05:03Change the focus.
01:05:05Bing.
01:05:05But he's looking a different way now.
01:05:08Across the kneecaps.
01:05:10Number four.
01:05:14Four.
01:05:15I'll do number four.
01:05:16That's all I'm doing is doing what he's doing.
01:05:18I'm just following his motion.
01:05:21Across the hand.
01:05:22This will jar the weapon out.
01:05:23If you don't jar the weapon out.
01:05:25Hit it once.
01:05:26Boom.
01:05:26Hit it twice.
01:05:27Here.
01:05:27Hit the leg out.
01:05:28Woo.
01:05:29And you have what you need.
01:05:31Watch.
01:05:31Number four.
01:05:33Hit it.
01:05:34Hard.
01:05:34Bang.
01:05:35That arm was going to motion.
01:05:37Motion.
01:05:38Then boom.
01:05:39The leg.
01:05:39Then oh the shin.
01:05:40That's all you need.
01:05:42Man is down.
01:05:43Number five.
01:05:44Do so.
01:05:49You do number five.
01:05:51Number five.
01:05:52You do number five.
01:05:53Number five.
01:05:55You do number two.
01:05:57Automatic.
01:05:58Quick.
01:05:58Take yourself.
01:05:59Out of harm's way.
01:06:01And just hit.
01:06:03And we use what we call trading places.
01:06:05For empty hands.
01:06:06Because.
01:06:07Trading places.
01:06:09If the man is coming baseball to our.
01:06:11Swinging very powerful.
01:06:12Slow motion.
01:06:14You cannot.
01:06:15Woo.
01:06:15Block here.
01:06:16And think that's going to be effective.
01:06:18You cannot just go.
01:06:20Huh.
01:06:21No.
01:06:21The body is still going in that direction.
01:06:24It is too powerful.
01:06:26It will overcome you.
01:06:27You will bend.
01:06:28It will knock you off balance.
01:06:29Off focus.
01:06:30You don't want that.
01:06:31So we do a thing called trading places.
01:06:34Where here.
01:06:35Is where I want to be.
01:06:36Because he's coming with that energy and that force.
01:06:39And I just switch with him.
01:06:41Look at this.
01:06:42And see if it makes sense.
01:06:43If it don't make sense.
01:06:45Then don't practice it.
01:06:47But think about this.
01:06:49Number one.
01:06:51And you do this.
01:06:54Have you ever been hit.
01:06:56In your forearm with a stick or a piece of pipe before.
01:06:59Do you really think you are going to apply technique after getting hit like this.
01:07:03First thing you're going to do.
01:07:04Huh.
01:07:05And then the man will proceed to beat you to death.
01:07:08Because you ain't blocking no pipe.
01:07:11Ah.
01:07:12Like that.
01:07:13And just standing there.
01:07:14And say you're going to just go.
01:07:16Hit.
01:07:16Huh.
01:07:17Huh.
01:07:18Huh.
01:07:18Huh.
01:07:18No.
01:07:19I don't think so.
01:07:20That's not reality.
01:07:22If a metal piece of pipe or good stick hits your body, you've got to react to it.
01:07:28You've got to feel it.
01:07:29And that's just basic common sense.
01:07:31I don't want to get hit by a stick or a piece of pipe.
01:07:33So I take myself out of harm's way.
01:07:35So when that one strike is coming, I trade places.
01:07:38Even if I hold on, at least I know where the stick is, where the pipe is.
01:07:42And now, utilize it once again.
01:07:43Touch and go.
01:07:45I have an option.
01:07:47Number two.
01:07:49When it comes, he's coming.
01:07:50Woo.
01:07:50Look.
01:07:50Right there.
01:07:52I have an option.
01:07:53Slow it down.
01:07:55Number two.
01:07:56Look at what's happening.
01:07:57He came around.
01:07:59Look at my hand.
01:08:00Woo.
01:08:01Right there.
01:08:02Because he's coming in that direction.
01:08:04Follow it.
01:08:05Take myself.
01:08:06Look where the stick is.
01:08:07Take myself out of harm's way.
01:08:11Take myself out of harm's way.
01:08:13Same principle Aikido uses.
01:08:16Number three.
01:08:17Come in here.
01:08:18Remember what I told you about number three before?
01:08:20Switch around.
01:08:21You cannot block a stick or pipe like that.
01:08:26It's coming up.
01:08:26It's going to catch you.
01:08:28And slow motion.
01:08:29Very slow motion.
01:08:30Do you know what this feels like?
01:08:33On your hands with a piece of pipe?
01:08:35And then you're through.
01:08:37Or a stick?
01:08:38No.
01:08:40But what?
01:08:42Once you extend them on, and a good practitioner is going to rise.
01:08:47Take yourself out of harm's way.
01:08:49Move.
01:08:50Move.
01:08:50That number three strike come?
01:08:53Trade in places.
01:08:54Move.
01:08:54It's all about footwork.
01:08:56And movement.
01:08:57You can't stand there.
01:09:00And...
01:09:00No.
01:09:01It's not real.
01:09:03This man's trying to hurt baseball style.
01:09:05Man trying to hurt you.
01:09:06How are you going to stand there?
01:09:08It's a fight.
01:09:10And if it's a fight, you're going to get hit.
01:09:13So you minimize how much pain you take.
01:09:16But don't think you're not going to get hit.
01:09:18Because that's not real, and that's not a fight.
01:09:21Then the guy is sparring.
01:09:23He's practicing.
01:09:24And he's using you as a heavy bag.
01:09:26Because a fight ain't a fight if you're not hitting back, and you're not getting...
01:09:30It's only you getting hit.
01:09:31Number three.
01:09:32Trade in places.
01:09:34Move.
01:09:35Put yourself in a position where you can react.
01:09:37Number four.
01:09:38Man coming.
01:09:39Number four.
01:09:39Move.
01:09:40Trade in places.
01:09:41Number five.
01:09:42That was four again.
01:09:43Number five.
01:09:44Take yourself out of harm's way.
01:09:47Slow motion.
01:09:48Five.
01:09:48Look.
01:09:51Ping.
01:09:52And it puts you in a position that you can strike.
01:09:55Trade in places.
01:09:59All right.
01:09:59Now we're back again.
01:10:02Now you...
01:10:03I broke down to you some basic stuff.
01:10:05Now we have Professor Florendo M. Visitation.
01:10:08Grandmaster of the system.
01:10:10Founder of the system of the Vianna Jitsu system.
01:10:12And he will demonstrate for you different type of self-defense situation.
01:10:18One-hand gabs.
01:10:20Cross-hand grab.
01:10:21Back grab.
01:10:21Shoulder grab.
01:10:22Variations of different things you can do.
01:10:25Utilizing hands, feet, jiu-jitsu.
01:10:29Locking the hole in the throwing.
01:10:31Variation is unlimited.
01:10:33Always remember that.
01:10:35Variation is unlimited.
01:10:36So don't say to yourself when you're practicing A, B, C, D.
01:10:40That is not the way techniques are in real life out in the street.
01:10:44Out in the street, you've got to take what you get and go with the flow.
01:10:47So Professor will be working now.
01:10:49He's going to start off the techniques from, if I'm not mistaken, defense against a one-hand grab.
01:10:57And from then, we'll just work and go into things.
01:11:02Into the techniques.
01:11:03Okay?
01:11:04It'll be defense against a one-hand grab.
01:11:07Watch carefully.
01:11:08Watch carefully.
01:11:09You'll be moving slow.
01:11:10And then from then, you'll see.
01:11:13You might see a variation or two, but just bear with it.
01:11:15And if you have any problem, back the tape up and watch it again.
01:11:18Okay?
01:11:19Defense against a one-hand grab.
01:11:21The opponent grabs you.
01:11:23And now he's taking the entry automatically.
01:11:26Quick.
01:11:26A wrist throw.
01:11:28Okay?
01:11:29Right?
01:11:30Now, now he's going to add shocking to that.
01:11:34So you add shocking to this now.
01:11:36The man grabs him.
01:11:38Here.
01:11:39Here.
01:11:40It's up.
01:11:41It's up.
01:11:42It's up.
01:11:47Yes.
01:11:47That's not what we're doing, guys.
01:11:49Yes.
01:11:50Okay?
01:11:52Second technique is cross-hand grab.
01:11:55That was cross.
01:11:56That was cross.
01:11:58Yeah.
01:11:58My mistake then.
01:11:59Now we're moving on to one-hand grab on the same side.
01:12:02Sometimes there may be a strike.
01:12:05So grab him, and the man may strike.
01:12:08Oh.
01:12:09Mm.
01:12:10Oh.
01:12:11Yeah.
01:12:12Mm.
01:12:13Mm.
01:12:14Yes.
01:12:15Yes.
01:12:24We will show that one again a little slower.
01:12:27Pressing, grabbing, and trying to strike.
01:12:31You need that to.
01:12:32Mm.
01:12:33Mm.
01:12:33Mm.
01:12:34Mm.
01:12:35Yeah.
01:12:37Yes.
01:12:39Yes.
01:12:39Yes.
01:12:41Yes.
01:12:42Yes.
01:12:43Yes.
01:12:43Yes.
01:12:44Okay, so now, what you're seeing will be two-hand garment grab.
01:12:50The opponent is grabbing the professor with two hands on the garment.
01:13:00That's the direct method, taking him right into a takedown and locking him up using different and various jiu-jitsu
01:13:09holds.
01:13:09Choco.
01:13:15Arm bars.
01:13:17Arm break and a choco.
01:13:21Turning the man onto his face, keeping consistent pressure.
01:13:30Always look right into that finger lock.
01:13:39Knee to the chest, fingers to the eyes, changing the focus.
01:13:44Push, and groin and chest.
01:13:48Always shocking, well-shocking.
01:13:50Boom.
01:13:51Making sure the opponent, making sure the opponent is shocked.
01:13:55Now, we're going to do that technique again.
01:13:58Two-hand garment grab, and I would like a variation from it.
01:14:01Pull him in tight when you grab him.
01:14:03Two-hand garment grab and pull him into you.
01:14:11Notice the difference in the shots.
01:14:18Wrist locking.
01:14:19Back to the finger lock.
01:14:20Right there, it's quick, effective.
01:14:22Turning the man onto his face.
01:14:28Extreme pressure.
01:14:33Following up, taking the man back into the groin.
01:14:36Excellent.
01:14:36One more technique with Sensei Scott.
01:14:40Master Scott.
01:14:41Master Scott now will apply a choke hold to Professor.
01:14:46Choke hold.
01:14:49Immediate, direct method.
01:14:50Right to the throat.
01:14:51Kick to the groin.
01:14:52Take him right down.
01:14:52Now, Professor, can you show that one again, please, slowly?
01:14:55The man grabbed him on his throat.
01:14:58Four fingers right into the throat.
01:15:00Boom.
01:15:00Take him down.
01:15:05Quick.
01:15:07Automatic.
01:15:15No time wasted.
01:15:17Can we show a variation from a choke hold?
01:15:20Variation from a choke hold.
01:15:22Never let the choke get on you.
01:15:24You see the man's hands coming for your throat?
01:15:27Never let it get on you.
01:15:28Turn it into a wrist bar.
01:15:30Arm lock.
01:15:32Try an arm bar.
01:15:33Single lock.
01:15:34Hold.
01:15:34Holding the opponent's head right to the ground.
01:15:36Down.
01:15:37That's a good one.
01:15:40Okay.
01:15:41Turn the seat out.
01:15:42All right.
01:15:43Now what you're going to see is one hand garment grab.
01:15:46Where the opponent grabs you by upper collar and pull you into him.
01:15:50One hand garment grab.
01:15:51Right off the touch.
01:15:53He's striking.
01:15:54Right into the wrist lock.
01:15:55No wasting no time.
01:15:58Immediate.
01:15:58Quick.
01:15:59Take the man down.
01:16:01Wrist lock and fingers into the eye.
01:16:20Notice how when you're applying finger lock, the man must go.
01:16:26Take it from the back.
01:16:32Us.
01:16:33Both fingers he had locked up.
01:16:35Take the man.
01:16:36Right into the wrist.
01:16:37No.
01:16:37Take him right down.
01:16:39Locking out the elbow.
01:16:40Fingers again.
01:16:41Right into the eyes.
01:16:42Full control.
01:16:43Full control.
01:16:45Same technique again, but a variation.
01:16:48Professor.
01:16:48One hand grab.
01:16:49Garment grab again, but with a variation.
01:16:55Huss.
01:16:56Ah.
01:16:57Lock that finger up.
01:17:05Look at the immediate shocks.

01:17:11Kicking that knee out.
01:17:12Stomach.
01:17:13Kick the leg out.
01:17:14Controlling the head.
01:17:16Next.
01:17:17Wrist throw.
01:17:19Knee into the face.
01:17:23Backhand grab.
01:17:24Behind the back grab.
01:17:26Man grabbing you behind the back.
01:17:27Defense against a back grab.
01:17:30Kicking the shins out.
01:17:32Stomping on the feet.
01:17:33Stomping on the feet.
01:17:34Shocking.
01:17:35Controlling the hand.
01:17:36Opening them up.
01:17:37Turning, twisting.
01:17:38Putting it to the throat.
01:17:39Also foggaling.
01:17:41Taking the man down.
01:17:46Armbar.
01:17:47Armbar.
01:17:47Headlock.
01:17:48Fingerlock.
01:17:50Armbar.
01:17:59Armbar.
01:18:01Headlock.
01:18:02Fingerlock.
01:18:06Armbar.

01:18:13All right.
01:18:14The uki is all right.
01:18:15Now we're going to see a variation from the defense against the back grab.
01:18:22Right in between the groin.
01:18:23Grab and pinch.
01:18:24Stick the hand right behind as he lifted him up.
01:18:27Right there.
01:18:27He's shocking.
01:18:28Stomping.
01:18:29Twisting.
01:18:29He's still holding on to the groin.
01:18:30Elbow to the face.
01:18:31Back fist.
01:18:33And just watch for yourself as you see the rest.
01:18:36Technique will speak for itself.
01:18:43Strangling him out.

01:18:48Take him down into uchi gai.
01:18:50Inside leg sweep.
01:18:52Stomping into the groin.
01:18:53Into the chest.
01:18:55Knee to the throat.
01:18:57Right to the eyes.
01:18:58Punching the groin.
01:19:02Okay.
01:19:02Now we're going to use defense against the shoulder grab.
01:19:06Like when you're walking down the street and then somebody comes up and try to grab you
01:19:09around your shoulder.
01:19:11Okay.
01:19:12Shoulder grab.

01:21:01Oh, no, always remember, all those extra locks and palms and ripping the teeth and pulling
01:21:10them out, that's just, it's the person, don't stop.
01:21:14You can stop at any point.
01:21:15Okay, now we're moving on to defense against the push.

01:21:21A little close to me, professor?
01:21:23The person pushing you.
01:21:46Again, professor, please.
01:21:47One more time.
01:21:48Watch.
01:22:01When it's convenient, use the finger locks.
01:22:41And it goes directly, it flows right into it.
01:22:43And the dough is eight.

01:23:15Variation.
01:23:16We will start off from the basic, simple alphabet.
01:23:19Okay, now you're going to see defense against a double punch.
01:23:23Okay, this.
01:23:36Again, a variation.
01:23:39Two, three, two, three.
