00:00Let me introduce you to Kalla & Co, the first Kerala Resto Bar in Paris.
00:05Started by Grishma, Alex Sherry and Ashik Roy, this cozy retro bar brings a slice of Kerala in the heart
00:14of France.
00:15As you enter, you'll notice that your walls are filled with Malayalam movie posters,
00:20vintage accessories like those old-school radios and tributes to various film actors.
00:27Their menu is a love letter to Kerala, featuring dishes like Chalakudi Pork Roast, Angamali Prawns, Kerala Meals and even
00:36Mohala's favourite dessert, the Banana Flambe, which is made with Old Monk.
00:41They also serve North Indian food for curious Parisians who are just beginning to explore Indian food beyond the typical
00:49butter chicken.
00:50The bar menu is where things get really interesting.
00:53In addition to Kalla, which is sourced from Sri Lanka, they serve some really crazy cocktails like Leaf Me Wet,
01:00which is made with curry leaves, Lassi Me Harder, Amma's Wild Side and Kaam Rasam.
01:05The team at Kalla & Co wanted to make Kerala cool again. In fact, they had Chef Reggie Matteo drop
01:11by the restaurant.
01:12From the looks of it, they're definitely transforming Paris into a small pocket of God's own country.
