23:35So we've gone in and done all new wiring all throughout the house, which is going to add about $10

25:57It's been a few weeks and we've had a lot of progress.

26:06And it makes perfect sense to come into the primary from here instead of coming in from

26:14We've changed the location of the entrance to the primary.
26:17It was in the living room.
26:19You went straight from the living room right into a bedroom.
26:21We changed that to go between the kitchen and the utility room.
26:25So it gives you a nice private hallway getting into your primary bedroom.
26:30When we got into demoing the floor in the kitchen, we noticed wood floor underneath that
26:37tile floor.
26:38But some unexpected things have happened.
26:43I was hoping for an easy transition with two inch wood floor from the living room into
26:49the kitchen.
26:50But when we got into there, it was a four inch floor, which didn't match at all.
26:56The good news is the flooring guy came and said, all right, Blake, well, you've got some
27:01two inch wood floor here that's hard to find, but I've got it.
27:05And I can put that white oak down.
27:07We can stain it and it's going to look perfect.
27:10So what we have to do now is just find the perfect stain.
27:13He's emailed Blake some different samples.
27:15We're going to take a look on his computer and see if we can find one that we agreed to
27:19on.

27:21So here are the colors that we've got.
27:24This one's kind of a honey oak.
27:26It's got some good browns in it.
27:28Yeah, that's a pretty color.
27:29I have this because this is what we're doing in the primary.
27:33You know, it's not the exact same as this, but it would transition really well because
27:37they're in the same colored family and, you know, would go nice with different colored
27:41cabinets.

28:58This paint is a one coat paint, meaning it's got the sealer in it and everything.
29:04I only spent $450 probably total.
29:07And doing it ourselves saves us about $8,000 in labor cost.

29:25We got the front of the house painted entirely in just over an hour.
29:31So, we've probably got 30 minutes on the side and an hour on the back.
29:36We can have this whole thing knocked out today and I think it's going to look great.
29:51The new two-inch white oak wood floors are here, ready to be installed in the kitchen.
30:01We're really confident that they can match the new floors with the old floors so we can have a nice,
30:07cohesive space that all flows perfectly.
30:11Once the floors are installed, that's when the work in the kitchen really begins.
30:14That's when we can do the countertops, the cabinets, the appliances, and then the whole house comes together.
30:28The amount of work that has gone on and the progress that we've made.
30:33Huge progress. I'm excited to see it all.
30:35Let's talk about the secondary bathroom.
30:39The tub's in, the tile's in, the vanity's in, and we've got the primary shower pan and tiles in.
30:47So excited to see that.
30:49You might be a little surprised there.
30:50I chose one tile. He accidentally ordered a different tile.
30:56And there's nothing we can do about it.
31:02What else? What else has gone on?
31:03The decks. The decks, okay? They have done the work on the back deck.
31:09I'm excited to see that and see how that came to fruition.
31:11We decided to maximize as much of the outdoor space as possible.
31:17So we decided to expand the front porch by adding a new deck that runs along the front of the
31:24house.
31:24And I'm just thrilled because now we have room for new chairs, a table, some fun factor,
31:31and it will be another cool hangout spot.
31:34I love how the banister railing turned out.
31:36We have a neat X pattern.
31:38It's also going to coordinate with some shutters I've chosen to go across the front of the house.
31:43I, you know, had that in my mind, but I wasn't really sure exactly how it would look.
31:48And it just, they did a great job.
31:52We got our kitchen cabinets just being delivered here.
31:57That's a lot of cabinets.
31:59We've got all hands on deck.
32:02The crew is putting those cabinets together and then installing those kitchen cabinets.
32:09We went with our traditional shaker cabinet, white on top, blue on the lowers.
32:15We needed the white just to brighten up that kitchen.
32:18The kitchen only has one small window, so we really needed to brighten it up.
32:22And we thought with the beach feel in the beach town, blue is just going to be a traditional that
32:28will last the test of time.
32:33And then the granite people, they're here to measure for the countertops.
32:38For our countertops, we have granite.
32:40We love these little brass fleck or flake, whatever you would call it, fleck.
32:45We call it flakes in there, yeah.
32:46Gold flakes, okay.
32:47They have this down to a science.
32:50We are so close to the finish line, I can't even believe it.
33:01This is all going to go back into that primary bedroom.
33:04The house is really coming together.
33:05Really, I just want to see, like, what works better, the blue or the green.

33:10I mean, this has a little bit of green in it.
33:12Now we just have some design things to do.
33:14We have a few little color schemes we have to pick out.

33:24We have lots of texture going on, lots of different colors.
33:28This one even brings the blues and the greens in.
33:31It's kind of fun.
33:32And it's a little beachy.

33:36Most of my designs are more about comfort and making people feel comfortable.
33:40And my aesthetic is really just what I like.
