00:08parishes in northwestern Louisiana to power artificial intelligence and cloud computing,
00:13according to CNBC. The company expects to create 540 full-time jobs and support about 1,700 other
00:20roles tied to the sites. Amazon said earlier this month it expects to spend $200 billion in capital
00:26expenditures this year, exceeding any individual hyperscalers' plans. Other major players have
00:32collectively forecast nearly $700 billion in 2026 spending. Meta selected Louisiana for its
00:38Hyperion data center through a $27 billion joint venture with Blue Owl Capital. Amazon said it
00:44will cover 100% of energy infrastructure costs with Southwestern Electric Power Company and use
00:49surplus water. The company will invest up to $400 million in public water infrastructure and partner
