00:00The Chinese government is not a huge fan of you, seems like that's mutual. They are a fan of Eileen
00:05Gu, who is competing in the Olympics despite being an American citizen. She's competing for
00:10the CCP. How do you, as somebody who's such a patriot, who's so committed to supporting
00:17the American project, how does that make you feel? I'm not a fan. People try to make false
00:21equivalencies where they say, oh, well, you know, what about this American guy who, you know,
00:25competed for Belgium and he has some, you know, he has some heritage there. There's a difference
00:30between competing for a country that is a strong U.S. ally and competing for one that is literally
00:38its strongest geopolitical rival, particularly if you are then going to go out and use your platform
00:43that was given to you by, you know, by competing for China and criticize, you know, U.S. human rights
00:53abuses and then say nothing about China's, which are to a scale and severity you could
01:00never imagine in the United States. I would respect it more if it were like, oh, I'm just
01:05literally not going to say anything about any of that. But once you really are clearly picking
01:10a side, I did see somebody, they asked her, are you a communist? And she blew that off.
01:15And I was like, oh, that's actually a really great question. Because of course, the Chinese
01:19Communist Party does not allow people to identify contrary. And the fact that she wasn't willing
01:27to answer the question with quite simple no, someone's given her training. And so the reason
01:33I bring it up is only that there's this kind of idea that she's like, oh, look at me, I'm
01:38just a dumb girl.
