00:00Well guys after two weeks I finally made it out of the hospital. It has been quite
00:05the journey and by far the most extreme and painful and challenging injury I've
00:13ever faced in my entire life times a hundred. Dr. Tom Hackett saved my leg. He
00:19saved my leg from being amputated. He did what's called a fasciotomy where he cut
00:25open like both sides of my leg kind of fellated open so to speak let it breathe
00:33and he saved me and you know I always talk about everything happens for a
00:40reason but if I hadn't torn my ACL which I would have torn anyways with this
00:44crash if I hadn't done that Tom wouldn't have been there he wouldn't have been
00:49able to save my leg so I feel very lucky and grateful for him for this six-hour
00:56surgery he put in on Wednesday to rebuild it which went amazingly well but I can't
01:04tell you how painful it's been. It's been really hard and it was definitely not the
01:11way I wanted to end my Olympics. I always fight, I'll keep going, no regrets and I
01:20just appreciate all the love and support it's been really amazing.
