Ruth Langsford reveals 'hardest thing' about Eamonn Holmes divorce in emotional interview
Transcript
00:00You talk about your heartbreak as well, of course, and your relationship, which broke down,
00:03that was such a public relationship where you all shared in it.
00:05Listen, here I am in the studio where Eamon and I worked together for many, many years and we're very
00:09happy.
00:10Not everything lasts forever, you know, and the hardest thing is having it played out in the public domain
00:17and that just goes with the territory, it goes with the job. I accept that.
00:20And again, it's more, I don't discuss, you know, our divorce or our relationship breakup.
00:27What I discuss is picking yourself up, dusting yourself off and starting all over again, as the song says.
00:34You know, it's about the same with my sister. I thought I could lie in bed and cry all day
00:38about my sister,
00:39but she wouldn't want that for me. So it's how I have used various things, friends, work, therapy.
00:47You know, I've talked to a therapist. That has been really helpful because my girlfriends have been unbelievable
00:53through many things in my life. I've got a close-knit group of girlfriends.
