00:00At this point in the story, the scene focuses on the ritualistic plaza surrounding the statue of
00:05the young scholarly man. The channels carved into the ground around the statue were already filled
00:10with blood, and the crimson liquid was converging steadily toward the foot of the statue. This detail
00:16demonstrates the human cultivator's desperation. They were pouring the life essence of their own
00:22tribe into the array, hoping to summon the power of their ancestral god to aid them in the ongoing
00:28battle. The white-haired elderly man, standing at the forefront of the ritual, uttered his prayers
00:34in a trembling voice, and as he did, the statue began to respond. The surface of the statue pulsed
00:40with a layer of crimson light, while a crimson vortex rotated persistently before the elderly man,
00:47releasing unusual fluctuations of energy that signaled something. Extraordinary was about to
00:52happen. From this vortex, a crimson armored warrior suddenly emerged. The warrior scanned its
00:58surroundings briefly with a blank, almost wooden expression, before leaping skyward and rushing
01:04toward the battlefield beyond the plaza. Shortly after, another flash of the vortex brought forth a
01:10second crimson armored warrior, adding to the defensive efforts of the human faction. The ritual,
01:15however, was not without its cost. A little black-robed girl seated on the plaza suddenly collapsed to the
01:21side, her face as pale as death and lips completely drained of color. The gash on her wrist remained
01:27open, showing that her blood had been entirely expended in service of the ritual. Though the
01:33elderly man displayed a sympathetic expression, he could only wave a dismissive hand, acknowledging the
01:38necessity of sacrifice in such circumstances. Another man quickly stepped forward to carry her away,
01:45and administered a red pill to restore her vitality. Her place was immediately taken by another girl of
01:51roughly the same age. Though fear was evident in her expression, she seated herself promptly,
01:57crossed her legs, rolled up her left sleeve, and took the small knife she held to her wrist.
02:02She closed her eyes tightly, bit her lower lip in resolve and slashed her wrist, allowing her blood to
02:08flow into the channel, continuing the ritual without hesitation. This scene underscores the human
02:14cultivator's unwavering commitment, even at the cost of personal suffering. To sustain their ancestral
02:20array, despite the continuous summoning of crimson armored warriors, the altar array's output was
02:26insufficient to reverse the overall trajectory of the battle, the human camp outside the plaza was
02:32steadily being pushed back, their efforts only delaying what appeared to be their inevitable defeat.
02:38Time passed, and the relentless sounds of combat drew ever closer. The people on the plaza sank deeper
02:44into despair, fully aware that if the statue were destroyed and the altar array conquered,
02:49their tribe's legacy would vanish entirely. Outside, the human cultivators had been forced back into a
02:55protective circle around the array, making a last-ditch effort to hold off the enemy forces. Above the
03:01battlefield, bursts of thunderous rumbling echoed as several spheres of dazzling light collided violently.
03:08From these clashes, around a dozen figures emerged. Six green-skinned foreign beings,
03:14all physically imposing with gleaming tusks protruding from their mouths, radiating a palpable aura of
03:21bloodlust and aggression. They were led by a purple-robed man, towering even above his formidable
03:27comrades, exuding the presence of a grand ascension cultivator. The five green-skinned beings,
03:33accompanying him, were at the mid, or late-body integration stage,
03:37and their white-light protective layers, were far stronger and more substantial than those of the
03:42other foreign cultivators. Opposing them were five human cultivators, led by a slightly portly,
03:49scholarly young man at the late-body integration stage, while the rest of the group were still at the
03:53early body. Integration stage. The imbalance of power was clear, and the scholarly man's heart sank
04:00at the sight. Yet, in a display of resolve, he glanced at the statue on the plaza and steeled himself.
04:06Signaling determination despite the odds. Suddenly, a ball of dazzling white light erupted in front of
04:12the human cultivators, exploding violently into countless rays that enveloped the entire group.
04:18Shockwaves spread outward, forming several tornadoes that tore through the air.
04:23Human body integration cultivators were flung violently, their auras in chaos and their clothes
04:29shredded. The scholarly man himself, wielding a broken shield, had blood trickling from his lips,
04:34and though he had ensured the survival of his group, it came at a tremendous cost.
04:39He reassured the panicked humans around him with a gesture, glancing upward to find the enemy had not
04:45immediately pursued. Moving to the base of the statue, he sought guidance from the white-haired
04:50elderly man, only to be met with anguished confirmation. There's been no response from
04:56our ancestral god. A wry smile crossed his lips as he murmured,
05:00Esteemed ancestral god, are you really going to abandon your people? Your loyal servants?
05:06The foreign invaders, led by the purple-robed Tuhar, hovered above, mocking Luo Feng,
05:12challenging his faith in the ancestral god. They taunted the humans, pointing out that the ancestral god
05:19had been in slumber for ten thousand years and had not answered any calls for the past.
05:25Millennium. The rhetorical attacks highlighted the despair of the humans, emphasizing their
05:30reliance on the statue's ritual. Powers to summon ancestral warriors, a measure that only delayed
05:36the inevitable. As Tuhar's verbal assault continued, the cold crystal beings renewed their attack,
05:43pushing the human defenders toward collapse. Just when hope seemed lost, a faint buzzing resounded from
05:49the azure statue, which began trembling and emitting radiant black light that intensified rapidly.
05:55The white-haired elderly man was the first to recognize the change, exclaiming in elation that
06:01their ancestral god had finally answered their call. The morale of the human defenders surged,
06:07while the invaders grew uneasy at the prospect of facing a true, ancestral god. Tuhar expressed disbelief,
06:14but before any more words could be spoken, the light from the statue exploded into an
06:19inky black vortex, hundreds of feet wide, with bolts of black lightning threatening to tear the
06:25surroundings apart. The surrounding world's origin key churned violently, and everyone on the
06:30battlefield watched in awe, realizing the magnitude of the event. From the vortex, arcs of black lightning
06:37converged into a massive ball, which warped into a pitch-black spatial rift over one hundred feet long.
06:43A humanoid figure emerged unsteadily, revealing an azure-robed man, Han Li, who had successfully
06:50traversed the inter-realm, gap after a grueling struggle. The rift sealed behind him, the black vortex
06:56dissipated, the churning world key calmed, and the dark clouds cleared. Though disheveled and physically
07:03taxed, Han Li's arrival represented a dramatic reversal in the battlefield dynamics. Upon seeing him,
07:10Luo Feng immediately fell to his knees, calling out with reverence to the esteemed ancestral god,
07:16signaling both relief and the renewed hope of the human forces. This moment highlighted the pivotal
07:21role of powerful, inter-realm cultivators in influencing the outcome of large-scale battles.
07:27At this moment, after witnessing Luo Feng kneel and kowtow, the entire population of Darkvale Island
07:33reacted instantly. Especially the younger residents, they erupted into cries of excitement and reverence,
07:40completely convinced that their long-awaited ancestral god had finally descended. Without
07:46hesitation, they all dropped to their knees and began kowtowing toward Han Li. However,
07:52the slightly older residents and the elders were not as impulsive. Unlike the younger generation,
07:57they hesitated. It was clear that they had noticed something unusual about Han Li, though they did not
08:03dare voice their suspicions openly. Seeing this hesitation, Luo Feng immediately glared at them
08:09and shouted angrily, demanding to know why they were still standing there, and ordering them to greet
08:15their ancestral god at once. Forced by his authority, the elders hurriedly knelt and paid their respects as
08:21well. Han Li himself remained expressionless, but internally he was confused. Ancestral god? After a
08:28brief moment of surprise, however, he quickly analyzed the situation. The scholarly man, Luo Feng, was
08:35clearly leading this human tribe. They were under attack by the green-skinned, foreign beings, led by the
08:41purple-robed man. The humans were in an extremely dire state, practically one step away from complete
08:48annihilation. Han Li had just returned to the immortal realm after an arduous traversal. Through the
08:54interrealm gap, and the last thing he expected was to land directly in the middle of a battlefield,
08:59if there had been more than one Grand Ascension cultivator present, or anyone capable of threatening
09:05him, he would have left immediately. After all, the outcome of this conflict had nothing to do with him.
09:11But since only one Grand Ascension opponent was present, and no one else posed any danger,
09:16he chose to remain, at least for now. High above in the sky, Tuhar was staring at Han Li with
09:22uncertainty. Victory had been within reach. Dark Vale Island was moments away from destruction,
09:28yet suddenly this unexpected figure had appeared. One of the body integration stage cold crystal
09:34beings, a mustached man, approached Tuhar via voice transmission and asked whether they should retreat.
09:40Tuhar hesitated briefly, but then, through gritted teeth, declared that they could not afford to
09:46withdraw now. They had finally cornered these humans. They would fight to the end, the moustached
09:52being voiced concern. What if Han Li truly was the ancestral God of Dark Vale Island? Tuhar dismissed the
09:59idea immediately. Han Li looked far too young. His arrival was strange, and he had not descended,
10:06majestically, but had seemingly appeared. Moreover, Tuhar could sense that Han Li's aura was weak and
10:12unstable, likely due to serious injuries. Even if he truly were the ancestral God, Tuhar believed this
10:19was the perfect opportunity to kill him and end. Dark Vale Island once and for all. With that,
10:24Tuhar acted. He shot forward like lightning and appeared directly above Han Li. The other body
10:30integration foreign beings quickly followed, surrounding Han Li in an encirclement. Meanwhile,
10:36Han Li stood calmly with his hands clasped behind his back, completely unfazed. Below them, the Cold
10:43Crystal Army resumed their assault with thunderous war cries. The humans also re-engaged in battle,
10:48but now their morale had dramatically risen because of Han Li's appearance. Before Luo Feng could speak
10:54further, Tuhar attacked. A vast blue light erupted from Tuhar's body, forming a gigantic mountainous
11:01python projection behind him, complete with a massive curved horn. The projection opened its mouth and
11:07unleashed countless blue ripples, infused with terrifying glacial power. Frost spread rapidly across
11:14the ground, and even the surrounding air seemed frozen solid. Simultaneously, Tuhar formed two short
11:21blue spears that transformed mid-flight into enormous blue. Ice dragons over 100 feet long,
11:27attacking Han Li from both sides. At the same time, the other body integration Cold Crystal.
11:34Beings unleashed their own treasure attacks. Han Li simply raised one hand. The moment his palm met the
11:39incoming wave of blue ripples, they were obliterated instantly with a loud crackling sound, vanishing
11:45completely. As the two massive ice dragons closed in, Han Li did not even blink. With a casual sweep
11:52of his other hand, space rippled, as if brushed by an invisible giant hand. The dragons shattered
11:58instantly, reverting back into short blue spears, which Han Li casually caught mid-air. Tuhar's face
12:05paled. The other treasure attacks struck next, but a semi-transparent true extreme membrane appeared over
12:12Han Li's body, effortlessly repelling every attack without leaving a single mark. The Cold Crystal
12:18beings immediately realized their fatal mistake. Before they could react, Han Li sent the captured
12:23spears flying. They pierced through the chests of the mustached being and another cultivator. Though
12:29dazzling white defensive light appeared on their bodies, it was useless. Both were completely pulverized,
12:36bodies and nascent souls destroyed instantly. Immediately after, blurry fist projections
12:42appeared and struck the remaining body integration cultivators. Their defensive light barriers shattered
12:48like glass, and they were reduced to mincemeat in dull thudding impacts. All of this happened in less
12:54than a second. Tuhar recovered from his shock and immediately fled, activating multiple defensive
13:00treasures at once, multicolored light barriers, blue crystalline armor and a protective bracelet.
13:06Han Li coldly harrumphed. Despite Tuhar being thousands of feet away, he suddenly experienced a
13:12sharp mental pain and plummeted from the sky. A jade pendant exploded, sending azure threads into his
13:19mind and briefly restoring his clarity. But it was too late. Han Li had already closed the distance.
13:25Seven blue light specks appeared across his chest and abdomen. His muscles bulged and he unleashed a
13:30devastating punch. Tuhar raised his massive blue sword defensively, but the impact sent him
13:36flying like a ragdoll. His sword shattered. His barriers shattered. His crystalline armor cracked.
13:43Han Li immediately appeared before him again and delivered another punch.
13:47Space rippled violently. Tuhar's remaining defenses disintegrated, and both his body and nascent soul
13:53were annihilated before he could even scream. His shimmering blue bracelet flew into Han Li's grasp.
13:59Han Li briefly inspected it with spiritual sense before storing it away. When he looked down,
14:05the battlefield had fallen silent. Both sides were frozen in shock. Luo Feng was the first to react.
14:11He shouted with ecstasy, proclaiming long life to their ancestral god and ordering the humans to drive
14:17out the invaders. The humans surged forward with overwhelming morale. Although still outnumbered,
14:23the cold crystal beings had lost all their strongest leaders, and their morale collapsed. They were
14:29quickly overwhelmed. Han Li showed no interest in pursuing them further. He descended to the plaza
14:35and collected the storage, bracelets of the fallen cultivators. The humans fell to their knees again,
14:42reverently calling him their ancestral god. Many wept uncontrollably, having survived certain
14:48destruction. Their admiration and veneration far exceeded mere joy. They looked at Han Li as mortals
14:55witnessing a deity. Han Li remained calm. He neither denied nor accepted the title publicly. Instead,
15:01he transmitted a message directly to Luo Feng. Luo Feng shuddered slightly after hearing it,
15:06then stood and began issuing calm, structured orders. Treating the injured tallying losses,
15:12setting defensive alerts, and declaring that he would personally accompany their
15:16ancestral god to the ancestral god pavilion, no one else was permitted to approach. Everyone
15:22obeyed immediately. Luo Feng respectfully hunched his body and made an inviting gesture,
15:28asking Han Li to follow him to the ancestral god pavilion. As they began walking away from the plaza,
15:34every human present immediately stepped aside, bowing deeply to open a clear path for them. Not long
15:40after the two left the plaza, the entire crowd shouted in perfect unison, bidding farewell to their
15:46esteemed ancestral god. Their voices were loud, reverent, and synchronized. The phrase echoed
15:52repeatedly, only fading into silence after Han Li and Luo Feng disappeared into the forest beyond.
15:58Throughout all of this, Han Li did not look back even once. He did not slow his pace, nor did
16:04he
16:04acknowledge the cheers. They followed a winding stone path through the forest until they reached an old,
16:10antiquated hall. Compared to grand immortal palaces, it was not particularly large, less than two hundred
16:16feet tall. Its walls were pitch black, seemingly made from common island stone. The structure showed
16:22obvious signs of age and weathering. However, the pillars, doors, and window frames were still
16:28vibrantly colored, clearly maintained and repainted regularly. The plaza before the hall and the stone
16:34staircase. Leading up to it were meticulously cleaned. Not even a single fallen leaf could be seen.
16:41Above the entrance hung a black plaque inscribed in golden characters. Ancestral God Pavilion.
16:47Luo Feng bowed respectfully before pushing open the doors and inviting Han Li inside. Inside stood a
16:54black stone statue, a life-sized replica of Darkvale Island's ancestral god. When Han Li looked at it
17:01carefully, he realized that its facial features indeed bore some resemblance to him. After briefly
17:08inspecting the hall, Han Li turned to Luo Feng and spoke directly. Now that they were alone,
17:14he clarified plainly that he was not there. Ancestral God, and had only appeared there by
17:19coincidence. Luo Feng's face turned horrified immediately. He dropped to his knees again and
17:24pleaded desperately. He declared that without Han Li's descent, Darkvale Island would have certainly
17:30been destroyed. Their tribe had worshipped their ancestral god for tens of thousands of years.
17:36They depended on him for survival. Han Li responded coldly. If those cold crystal beings had not
17:42attacked him first, he would not have intervened. There was no need for gratitude. And as the tribe's
17:48chief, Luo Feng surely knew whether Han Li was truly their ancestral god or not. If Luo Feng hoped to
17:55trick him into assuming that role, it would not work. Luo Feng shuddered under the pressure of those
18:01words. After a moment he admitted honestly that it did not matter who Han Li truly was. What mattered
18:07was survival. If Han Li agreed to remain and pose as their ancestral god to help them through this crisis,
18:13the entire tribe would dedicate itself to serving him and supplying any cultivation resources he required.
18:20This proposal caused Han Li's expression to shift slightly. Instead of answering immediately,
18:25he began asking questions. He asked about their so-called ancestral god. Luo Feng explained that their
18:32ancestral god was originally an ancestor who attained immortality hundreds of years ago. He had protected
18:38the tribe generation after generation, allowing them to establish a foothold in the Black Wind Sea.
18:44Han Li then asked whether the cold crystal beings also had an ancestral god,
18:48and whether the white light protecting their bodies was related. Luo Feng confirmed it. The cold crystal
18:54race worshipped Patriarch Han Q, an earthly immortal who had attained immortality less than 200,000 years
19:01ago. According to Luo Feng, his strength ranked near the bottom among ancestral gods, and he had once
19:07been defeated by Dark Vale Island's ancestral god. Han Li then asked a key question. What is an earthly immortal?
19:16Luofeng was startled. Could Han Li have just ascended from a lower realm? Han Li did not answer directly,
19:22but his silence confirmed enough. Realizing his overstep, Luofeng explained carefully.
19:28An earthly immortal cultivates through the power of faith, drawing strength from worshippers within the
19:34territory they protect. The more worshippers and territory, the faster their cultivation progresses.
19:40Han Li nodded thoughtfully. He then shifted the topic to the cold crystal race. Luofeng explained that
19:48both tribes were small settlements on the edge of the Black Wind Sea. Their islands were close,
19:54so conflicts over resources were frequent. In the past, when their ancestral god was active,
20:00the cold crystal race did not dare provoke them. But ever since their ancestral god entered a 10,000-year
20:06slumber, the cold crystal race had grown increasingly aggressive. Han Li fell into deep thought. After a
20:13long silence, he asked about the location of the Black Wind. See relative to the northern glacial
20:19immortal region, Luofeng presented a walnut-sized white bead containing a partial map. Han Li inspected it
20:26with spiritual sense. When he opened his eyes, mixed emotions flickered across his face. Finally, he made his
20:32decision. He agreed to protect Dark Vale Island, but with conditions. He revealed that he had only
20:38arrived in the immortal realm that very day and had not been received through an ascension platform. If
20:45Luofeng considered that problematic, Han Li would leave immediately. Instead, Luofeng was grateful for the
20:52trust. Han Li then set clear terms, publicly. He could be referred to as the ancestral god to calm the
20:59people.
20:59So, privately, Luofeng would address him as Senior Liu. If the cold crystal race attacked again,
21:06he would intervene. In return, the tribe must provide the cultivation resources he required.
21:12Luofeng agreed without hesitation. Han Li then requested a quiet place to rest and recover. Luofeng led him
21:19through the pavilion's backyard, past a bamboo forest filled with purple mist, to a small traditional
21:25courtyard. It was Luofeng's personal seclusion site, used for cultivation breakthroughs. No one would
21:31disturb him there. Han Li inspected it, approved, and entered. Half a day later, tens of thousands
21:38of kilometers away, a white island stood in the dark blue sea, long and thin like a willow leaf.
21:44Its surface was sparse in vegetation and covered in gray reflective rocks. White dome-shaped buildings
21:50lined the mountainside, becoming fewer toward the peak. At the summit lay a massive spindle-shaped,
21:56plaza covered in intricate array patterns. At its center stood a towering gray statue,
22:02over a hundred feet tall, depicting a burly armored man with curved tusks and long curled hair. Cold
22:09crystal beings knelt around it, chanting in ritual. Suddenly, two blue lights ignited beneath the statue's
22:15visor. A rumbling voice emerged. It asked about the outcome, and why Tuhar was absent. A portly elder
22:22stepped forward and recounted everything. Tuhar and several elders had died. He requested vengeance.
22:29After silence, the statue spoke again. It reasoned logically that the man who appeared could not have
22:34been Luofeng, Dark Vale Island's true ancestral god. If Luofeng had truly recovered, none of them would have
22:42returned alive. The elder asked whether to launch another invasion. The statue refused. Whoever that
22:48man was, he was powerful enough to kill Tuhar effortlessly. A second attack would only waste
22:53lives. It dismissed the elders and then murmured privately. Other forces—Gugu, Hutu, and Lu Kun—were
23:02also interested in conquering Dark Vale Island. They could be used. However, there was one particular
23:08item on Dark Vale Island that he needed personally. It was crucial for his own cultivation breakthrough.
23:14As his voice faded, the blue lights vanished. Inside the courtyard, Hanley immediately began
23:19making preparations to ensure absolute security. He continuously flicked his fingers through the air,
23:25releasing streak after streak of azure light. These streaks soon revealed themselves to be azure
23:31array flags. The flags vanished into the surrounding air one after another, embedding themselves invisibly
23:38into the space around the courtyard. Moments later, an azure light barrier formed, completely sealing and
23:44enveloping the courtyard. Only after establishing this defensive array did, Hanley sit down cross-legged
23:50and close, his eyes to meditate. As time passed, daylight gradually faded. The sky darkened and night
23:57descended. When night fully arrived, Hanley opened his eyes and looked up at the star-filled sky. He flipped his
24:04hand over and produced a pill, which he swallowed without hesitation. Then he inhaled deeply and activated
24:11his Big Dipper origin arts. Immediately, seven blue specks of light appeared on his chest and abdomen.
24:17At the same time, the star power in the heavens converged, forming seven pillars of starlight that descended from
24:24the sky and entered his body. As the starlight poured into him, his previously pale complexion slowly improved.
24:30By morning, he opened his eyes and exhaled. Not only had all his physical exhaustion disappeared,
24:37even the damage he had sustained. While traversing the inter-realm, Gap had been completely healed.
24:43This demonstrated the extraordinary recovery capability of the Big Dipper. Origin arts when
24:48cultivated under an actual, starry sky in the immortal realm. After stretching briefly, Hanley entered a
24:55side room in the courtyard. The room was simple and clean, about 70 to 80 feet in size. It contained
25:01only a bamboo cabinet, several sandalwood tables and chairs, and a futon placed at the center.
25:07Everything was orderly and well-maintained. Hanley sat cross-legged on the futon and produced a jade box.
25:14Inside was a yellow walnut. Its surface patterns formed the image of a human face,
25:19and it emitted astonishing earth-attribute spiritual key fluctuations. This was one of the strange
25:26fruits he had obtained from the mysterious space within the yellow bubble. Previously,
25:31he had been too rushed to study it carefully. Now he could examine it properly. He released his
25:36spiritual sense and injected it into the walnut. What he discovered stunned him. The earth-attribute
25:42spiritual key inside. The fruit was unbelievably vast, yet compressed to an extreme degree. Because of
25:49his experience with the heaven-controlling vial, Hanley was exceptionally skilled at evaluating
25:54spirit medicines and judging their age. Although he did not recognize this fruit,
25:59the sheer density of world origin. Key inside it indicated it had to be at least 100,000 years old.
26:06However, age alone did not explain why two demon beasts comparable to true. Immortals would fight
26:12desperately over it. Thus Hanley examined the fruit repeatedly, nearly twenty times, analyzing every
26:18fluctuation. Eventually he noticed something subtle. The earth-attribute spiritual key inside seemed
26:25chaotic. But in reality it followed a hidden pattern of circulation. Periodically the QE would enter a
26:31peculiar state of fusion, during which an extremely faint but unique aura would emerge. Hanley's heart
26:37began to beat faster. That aura resembled the power of laws, yet it was slightly different. Despite further
26:44analysis he could not reach a definitive conclusion, so he chose a more direct method. He produced a
26:50wooden box and removed its lid. Inside was the miniature, yellow nascent sole of the one-eyed, giant
26:56from the yellow bubble space, covered in restraining talismans. Its eyes were half open in a dazed state.
27:02Hanley grabbed the nascent sole and released. Threads of black light from his fingertips into it. He was
27:08performing a soul search. The fastest way to uncover the secrets. Behind the human-faced walnuts. Immediately,
27:16the nascent sole showed signs of pain. A layer of yellow light emerged from within it, resisting the
27:21intrusion. Hanley frowned. Some strange power existed within the soul, making it extremely difficult to
27:28penetrate. He snorted coldly and intensified the black light, increasing the force of his soul search.
27:34The yellow light flared violently. The nascent sole's face twisted in agony. It tried to scream,
27:41but the talisman sealed its voice. Finally, Hanley's spiritual sense broke through the strange protective
27:46power and reached deep into the soul. A hint of joy appeared in his heart. But in the very next
27:52instant,
27:53his expression changed drastically. The true extreme membrane instantly manifested over his body.
27:59A burst of blinding yellow light erupted from the nascent soul. It exploded like a miniature sun,
28:05engulfing Han Lee completely. Moments later, the light faded. Han Lee stood unharmed, protected by the
28:13true extreme membrane, but his expression was dark. The nascent soul had self-detonated the moment his
28:20spiritual sense fully pierced it. The internal power had been extremely aggressive, preventing any true
28:27extraction of memories. He only obtained fragmented information. The one-eyed giant consumed one.
28:33Human-faced walnut approximately every ten thousand years. Doing so greatly benefited its cultivation.
28:39That was all. Han Lee sighed softly. He examined the walnut once more, then stored it away. For now,
28:46he would need another method to uncover its origins. Since he had only just returned to the immortal realm,
28:51more urgent matters required attention. He left the courtyard. Outside,
28:57Luo Feng was already waiting respectfully. He presented a black storage, bracelet containing
29:02cultivation resources. Han Lee had requested. Due to short notice, only part of the list had been
29:07gathered, but more would be collected soon. Han Lee inspected it briefly with spiritual sense and
29:13nodded. Relief washed over Luo Feng. Han Lee then asked whether there was a scripture library on the
29:19island. He needed information. Luo Feng immediately led him there. While flying, Han Lee observed that
29:26most battle damage from the previous day had already been repaired. Reconstruction efforts were underway.
29:33Mortals had returned to docks and towns. Though the cultivator battle caused destruction,
29:38mortal settlements were largely unaffected. Many mortals and cultivators were now gathered.
29:43Performing worship rituals before statues of their ancestral god,
29:47Luo Feng explained that mortals depended on cultivating families for protection. Although
29:52cultivators fought among themselves, they typically did not target mortals. The situation reminded Han
29:59Lee of the scattered star. Seized from the human realm, a familiar social structure where mortals and
30:05cultivators coexisted under protection systems. They soon arrived at a two-story pavilion, the scripture
30:11library. Inside were bookshelves filled with scrolls, scriptures, and jade slips. However, it was small,
30:20far smaller than major sect libraries like the Cold Flame sects. Luo Feng apologized for the limited
30:26collection. Han Lee dismissed him politely and began browsing. With his powerful spiritual sense,
30:32he could read at extraordinary speed. Most texts were historical records of the black wind,
30:37sea or cultivation arts up to the grand ascension stage. Not what he needed. He searched specifically
30:43for information about earthly immortals. Eventually, after nearly exhausting the first floor,
30:48he found several old jade slips. About an hour later, he finished reading them. Though limited,
30:54they clarified key concepts. An earthly immortal is a type of immortal who cultivates through gathering the
31:01power of faith from followers within a specific region. Using that faith, they can manifest powers of laws.
31:07However, this power is geographically restricted. Outside their domain of faith, their manifested law
31:13powers become ineffective. Each earthly immortal erects a statue, made of special material capable of
31:20storing and refining faith power. This forms an earthly deity avatar, a construct uniquely tied to earthly
31:27immortals. The avatar can wield law power even more efficiently than the immortal's true body. Normally,
31:33earthly immortals remain hidden while their avatars act publicly. If the avatar is destroyed, severe
31:39backlash occurs. In extreme cases, the earthly immortal may permanently lose control over their law powers,
31:45rendering years, even centuries, of cultivation wasted. Han Lai reflects deeply on what he has just read
31:52regarding earthly immortals. While they are confined to specific territories, the ability to master the power of
31:58laws through this unique path is extremely enticing to him. From his experiences back in the spirit
32:04realm, he already knows firsthand just how formidable the power of laws can be. He had wielded profound
32:12heavenly, treasures such as the profound, heavenly spirit slash sword, which contained the laws of heaven
32:22power could exert, far beyond ordinary cultivation arts, secret techniques, or even regular spirit treasures.
32:29However, Han Lee is also aware that mastering the power of laws is heavily dependent on luck. Even
32:35possessing a treasure imbued with such power does not guarantee success, as one could spend an entire
32:40lifetime striving for it without ever achieving mastery. Therefore, the possibility of becoming an earthly,
32:47immortal presents itself as a realistic, and worth considering path, especially given the likely
32:54absence of the ancestral god of Dark Vale Island. This absence would mean that Han Lee could potentially
33:00take the position of earthly immortal in this region without complications. At this point, Han Lee summons
33:06Mo Guang, who emerges from his shadow with a calm, wooden expression. Mo Guang notes that the world's origin,
33:13and Kui in this area is sparse. Asking if Han Lee had ascended to a particularly secluded location,
33:20Han Lee confirms that they are in the Black Wind Sea, a remote region in the northern glacial immortal
33:25region. Mo Guang recognizes the area vaguely and observes that its remoteness could be a blessing,
33:32as it would shield Han Lee from detection by enemies in the immortal realm. Han Lee acknowledges that this
33:38isolation was indeed one reason for his choice of location. Han Lee then asks Mo Guang what he knows
33:44about earthly immortals. Mo Guang explains that they are immortals who manifest the power of laws,
33:50through gathering the power of faith, and that they are extremely rare. Han Lee probes further,
33:56questioning why they are so rare and asking, about other limitations besides, their territorial restrictions.
34:03Mo Guang explains that the cultivation method of earthly immortals has several constraints.
34:09Their power of laws cannot be used outside their jurisdiction. Their magic power is less pure due to
34:15contamination from faith, and progression in cultivation is significantly slower compared to
34:20other immortals. Han Lee reflects on these limitations and recognizes that while several
34:26earthly immortals exist in the Black Wind Sea, it is likely due to the area's unique environment.
34:32The scriptures he had studied describe the Black Wind Sea as being encircled by a massive,
34:37constant storm, which acts as a natural barrier isolating it from the outside world. Access is
34:43limited, and the only way to leave is via a teleportation array on one of the central islands. This
34:50isolation, combined with the presence of many cultivating families and mortals, makes the area
34:56ideal for earthly immortals to establish themselves. Mo Guang then mentions that even among laymen
35:01immortals, few willingly pursue the path of an earthly immortal. Han Lee asks for clarification on laymen
35:08immortals. Mo Guang explains that only immortals who have mastered the power of laws are considered
35:13true immortals. Those who have not are laymen immortals. Most immortals fall into this latter category.
35:20Because laymen immortals lack protection from the power of laws, they rely solely on cultivating
35:26immortal spiritual power, which makes it much harder for them to advance. Profound immortals like Han Lee
35:32are actually a subtype of laymen immortals. Focusing on physical cultivation rather than directly
35:38seeking mastery over laws, those who attempt to obtain the power of laws, purely through physical
35:44cultivation, are even rarer than earthly immortals. After this explanation, Mo Guang, whose existence is now
35:51only a wisp of his soul, vanishes back into Han Lee's shadow, leaving Han Lee to process the information.
35:58Han Lee pauses briefly, then heads to the second floor of the scripture library, where he continues
36:04his studies on immortal treasures. The scriptures reveal that immortal treasures draw upon the laws of
36:10heaven and earth, granting them incredible power. With their abilities varying according to the specific
36:16laws they embody, Han Lee recalls the profound heavenly, fortune blade and the profound, heavenly
36:21spirit slash sword from the spirit realm. The spirit slash sword, in particular, was among the top three
36:29on the chaotic myriad spirit role, possessing the extraordinary ability to disregard the laws of a realm,
36:35making it comparable to the immortal treasures described in the scriptures. As Han Lee reads further,
36:41he gains a more detailed understanding of immortal treasures. Profound heavenly treasures, classified as
36:47essential spirit treasures, are born from the power of a realm and often originate as spirit trees that
36:53grow when the realm first comes into existence. These trees, nurtured by the essence of heaven and earth,
36:59produce spirit flowers or fruits capable of disregarding the laws of the realm. However,
37:04these treasures are extremely rare, with only a handful able to appear in any given realm.
37:10The growth cycles are measured in hundreds of thousands of years, but the flowers and fruits
37:15themselves wilt within hours or days, making them incredibly difficult to obtain. Aside from
37:21essential immortal treasures, the scriptures also mention acquired immortal treasures, which are crafted
37:27and refined by immortals rather than naturally, born from the realm. Neither type is inherently stronger.
37:34The power hierarchy depends on the laws they contain, their refinement and the strength of the
37:39wielder. Essential treasures are rarer and have potential for further evolution through nurturing,
37:45making them preferable for high-grade immortals, though both types remain extraordinarily rare.
37:51Very few layman immortals possess them, and those capable of refining acquired immortal treasures are
37:57even rarer. While reflecting on this, Han Lee feels a pang of nostalgia and regret for the profound.
38:03Heavenly spirit's lashed sword he once possessed, a thought crosses his mind, and he transmits it to
38:09summon Luo Feng. Moments later, Luo Feng appears and respectfully inquires about Han Lee's instructions.
38:16Han Lee asks whether there are any immortal treasures on Darkvale Island. Luo Feng admits there are none.
38:22Their ancestral god had attempted to acquire such a treasure, but failed. In fact, few ancestral gods in the
38:29entire Blackwind Sea possesses immortal treasures. Though Han Lee had not expected much, he allows
38:34himself a brief moment of disappointment before continuing. Han Lee then inquires about the type
38:40of power of laws that ancestral god Luo Ming had mastered through faith. Luo Feng responds that it was the
38:46law of water, which is common in the Blackwind, sea and shared by most nearby ancestral gods. Han Lee notices
38:54the worship statues on the worship statues on the island and asks whether one represents the earthly
38:59deity avatar of Luo Meng. Luo Feng clarifies that these are ordinary statues meant for gathering faith,
39:07with only a single true earthly deity avatar existing, currently sealed in a restricted zone. Intrigued,
39:13Han Lee instructs Luo Feng to take him to this restricted zone. Luo Feng hesitates briefly, revealing that the
39:20avatar was shattered in a battle, 10,000 years ago, leaving only the head intact, but offers to show it
39:27immediately. Han Lee, maintaining his composure, simply replies, lead the way. In the northwestern region
39:34of Darkvale Island, the geography itself immediately signals the harshness and isolation of this area.
39:41There stands an extremely steep cliff towering over 1,000 feet, and the base is littered with sharp,
39:46jagged black rocks. These rocks are not merely decorative, they serve as a natural defense
39:52and indicate the relentless force of nature that shapes this environment. Waves constantly crash
39:58against the cliff, sending foamy sprays erupting in all directions, emphasizing the unyielding power
40:04of the sea here. Over centuries, the cliff face has been ravaged by erosion, leaving behind countless
40:10holes of varying shapes and sizes, and most of its surface is covered in green moss with scattered
40:16white salt patches, creating a patchy mottled appearance. Occasionally, the sea dislodges small
40:21white crabs from the holes, a reminder of the life that persists even in such a harsh environment.
40:27At this moment, Han Lee and Luo Feng are hovering above the sea, directly facing the cliff. Luo Feng
40:34points to a seemingly ordinary hole carved into the cliff face, several dozen feet in diameter,
40:40and informs Han Lee that this is the resting place of the remains of Ancestral, God Luo Meng's earthly
40:46deity avatar. On first glance, the hole seems unremarkable slightly, larger than the surrounding
40:52erosion. But Han Lee, with his superior spiritual sense, immediately notices a peculiarity. As he
40:59extends his spiritual sense toward the hole, he detects a subtle force diverting his perception,
41:04direction, redirecting it toward the rock face to the side. This disruption is so faint that an average
41:10cultivator would not even notice it. Curious, Han Lee activates his bright-sighted spirit eyes to
41:16inspect the hole more closely. Within, he observes a faint vortex of water vapor, slowly revolving and
41:22emanating weak law fluctuations. This observation indicates that the remains of Ancestral God Luo Meng
41:29still hold residual power, even after a slumber of 10,000 years. Luo Feng explains that the origin
41:36water seal, maintaining the concealment of the avatar, is weakening and will likely fail entirely
41:42within the next millennium. As they approach, Luo Feng enters the hole first. With a series of precise
41:48hand seals, he releases multiple blue incantation seals, which vanish into the vortex of water vapor.
41:54The vortex quivers, and the water vapor recedes to reveal a circular passageway,
42:00tall enough for an adult human. This process demonstrates the careful use of cultivation,
42:05techniques to manipulate both spiritual energy and the physical environment. Luo Feng then invites Han
42:11Lee to follow, and they proceed into the passageway. The passageway connects to a dark corridor built
42:17from blue stone blocks. It is long and winding with no visible end, and illuminated by white fluorescent
42:23stones, embedded into the walls at regular intervals. As they descend gradually, the water attribute's
42:30spiritual power in the surrounding area becomes noticeably denser. After roughly 15 minutes of
42:36travel, Han Lee estimates they are several kilometers underground. The corridor culminates in a blue stone
42:42door. Luo Feng produces an azure badge, which emits a burst of azure light, unlocking the door with a loud
42:48creek. Inside is a vast square stone chamber over 100 feet in size. While it is called a stone chamber,
42:56the space resembles an underground cave more than a constructed room. Semi-transparent blue stalactites,
43:02reminiscent of glass, hang from the ceiling, and similar crystalline materials adorn the walls,
43:08through which the faint outline of flowing sea water can be seen, confirming their submersion deep below the
43:15sea. At the center of this chamber stands a black stone platform, roughly half the height of an adult
43:20human. Thin, winding channels are engraved on its surface and extend downward into the ground,
43:26suggesting some form of energy or ritual mechanism. Atop this platform lies the head of a statue,
43:33life-sized and faintly resembling. Han Lee. This is the visage of ancestral, god Luo Meng. Unlike other
43:40statues Han Lee has seen, this head is entirely blue, carved from a special crystalline material
43:46that sparkles under the chamber's fluorescent illumination. It radiates rich water attributes
43:51spiritual power, and while the face is smooth and lifelike, the neck is coarse and jagged,
43:57giving the impression it was forcibly separated from the body. Han Lee observes the head intently,
44:03experiencing a peculiar sensation. It feels almost alive, as if it can breathe.
44:08He closes his eyes and projects his spiritual sense into the chamber. The head emits a spiritual
44:14sense of overwhelming magnitude, so intense that Luo Feng struggles to maintain stability and begins
44:20sweating profusely. Han Lee, focused on the head, discovers an invisible energy converging from all
44:26directions. Although feeble in individual strength, the sheer quantity fills the chamber, and at the center
44:32of the head, a tiny speck of light pulses rhythmically, reminiscent of a cultivator's meditation breathing.
44:39This is the power of faith, absorbing the ambient energy with each cycle of its fluctuation,
44:45confirming that this is indeed the spiritual reservoir sustaining the avatar. After withdrawing his
44:50spiritual sense, Han Lee watches as Luo Feng regains his composure. The elder then taps a stalactite
44:57above, revealing a hidden mechanism that raises a small stone platform, upon which sits a stone box.
45:04Inside is an ancient jade slip, the myriad water immortal arts. The cultivation technique once used by
45:10ancestral god Luomeng Luo, Feng explains that immortals ascending from lower realms often require a suitable
45:17immortal cultivation art to convert magic power into immortal spiritual power. Since Han Lee entered the
45:23immortal realm through the immortal realm through unconventional means, this jade slip would
45:28theoretically be useful for him. Han Lee examines the jade slip, noting that while it is a water attribute
45:34cultivation art, capable of supporting a practitioner to the late true immortal stage, it conflicts with his current
45:41cultivation art, greatly limiting its potential. Respectfully, he returns it to Luo Feng, and inquires about
45:49other sources of immortal cultivation arts in the Black Wind Sea. Luo Feng explains that due to the
45:55remoteness of the region, such arts are scarce. Most are possessed by ancestral gods who are reluctant
46:01to share them. The only alternative is Black Wind Island, where century-long auctions occasionally present
46:07such items, though they are extremely expensive and the next auction is over a decade away. Over the following
46:14four to five months, the Cold Crystal Race refrains from further attacks, allowing a period of relative
46:20stability on Darkvale Island. Luo Feng continues his mission to procure secret techniques for sealing
46:26nascent souls, a task proving extremely difficult due to the rarity of such techniques. After limited success
46:33and three to four suboptimal finds, he sends a body integration stage, elder with spirit stones, to Black Wind
46:39Island, to attempt to acquire suitable techniques. Three days past the elder's expected return, a streak
46:46of white light appears on the horizon, revealing the elder arriving with a jade box containing about a
46:52dozen jade slips. Luo Feng, relieved, receives the box and hurries to present the contents to Han Li,
46:59marking another step forward in his cultivation, preparations and strategic planning.
