An air ambulance carrying seven people crashed in Jharkhand’s Chatra district after losing radar contact shortly after takeoff from Ranchi, according to India’s aviation regulator DGCA. The Beechcraft C90, operated by Redbird Airways, had two pilots, a critically injured burn patient, a doctor, paramedic, and two attendants on board. The aircraft lost communication around 23 minutes into the flight while en route to Delhi for advanced treatment.

Rescue and investigation efforts are underway as authorities work to determine the cause of the crash and confirm the condition of those onboard. The incident raises fresh concerns over emergency aviation safety and night operations in challenging conditions.
