Bears quarterback Caleb Williams addresses the need to get the ball more to his tight ends in some situations heading into Week 3 against Dallas.
Transcript
00:05Yeah, part of that is there was just a few situations that come to mind that even in
00:13those maybe long down in distances that we had throughout that last game is we had a
00:17couple of second and super longs.
00:19And so being able to get them the ball as fast as possible, let them catch, tuck knife
00:24and get maybe 12, maybe more if they bounce off a few tackles.
00:28But that's a part of playing QB.
00:30It's a part of the game.
00:32And like Ben said, it's him, but also it's me when I'm out there on the field of being
00:39able to drop back, see the coverage and just maybe pop the ball down to one of those guys,
00:43even if it's those situations where we're trying to fight back and get back into the
00:47game.
00:48It's just one play at a time.
00:50And how you come back in games is taking one play at a time.
00:53We had a few past the day and just kind of being on the same page with those guys.
00:58You know, I feel that way.
00:59I believe they feel that way.
01:01And being able to go out there and execute plays and, you know, deliver them a good ball
01:05and let them go and work.
01:06I know the first game, you know, I missed one to Colston across the middle.
01:11But, you know, I think over the time from, you know, OTA's training camp and now, I think,
01:16you know, our connection has grown.
01:18And, you know, I think we're on the same page and have the same, you know, idea of where,
01:23you know, I think they should be and where they will be.
01:28And, if I don't think maybe you that one time knows, and what happened to me, it's huge.
01:29And, uh, I think that one thing will happen to me.
01:30I think, you know that one thing has been rigged.
01:30And, when it goes deep, it hurts me apart.
01:30And I think that there's how you're on the same page.
01:30This is something that I saw this one Psalm 0.
