ENRROKE and Lorena have a BIG brood to take care of. "We have 12 children - four of them are alive, and the others are not," Enrroke told Truly. While the couple are parents to Elisse, 14, Elias, 12, Denisse, 7, and Alaia, 2, they also craft reborn dolls, which become integrated into family life. "My children, we teach them to take care of them and how to treat them like a real baby," Enrroke explained. The silicone pieces of art can cost up to $10,000, with many seeing reborn babies as collection pieces. While their kids love doting on the dolls, not everyone is a fan. "On social media, there are haters and some people think it's weird," Enrroke admitted. But the family remains unfazed by the judgment, relishing the joy that the dolls bring. Reflecting, Lorena said, "I can't imagine a life without these dolls."

00:00We have 12 children.
00:02Four of them are alive, and the other ones, not.
00:07My children, we teach them to take care of them.
00:13Like a real baby, you know?
00:14Some people think it's weird.
00:16These are super creepy.
00:18Horrible, they look dead.
00:20Some people, they are afraid because they look like very real.
00:23This is your baby.
00:24Are you afraid like maybe your kids are going to be confused about the dolls?
00:31Come on, girls, let's eat.
00:37My name is Enrique.
00:39My name is Lorraine.
00:40And we have many, many kids.
00:43We have biological kids, four.
00:46There it is, you look beautiful.
00:51Do you want to sit here?
00:52The rest of the room?
00:54To eat?
00:56Yes.
00:56And like eight of them are born babies.
00:59Yeah.
01:02What is a reborn baby?
01:04The reborn baby is a silicone baby.
01:07It's cooked like a real baby with all details.
01:11Always we prepare breakfast all together with the babies.
01:16Baby.
01:18Yeah, this is your baby.
01:20Kiss your baby.
01:21Like a big family.
01:23What is the role of these babies in your family?
01:26My children, we teach them to take care of them.
01:30Have to treat like a real baby, you know?
01:32This is normal for us.
01:33We're making quesadillas and they are taking care of their own babies.
01:37So this is my baby.
01:40The name is Elena.
01:42It's a pretty baby.
01:43And also she has the sister.
01:45But I like more, I think Elena.
01:48Because I think it's more like real.
01:51With the eyes closed.
01:53Do you sleep with the babies too?
01:54No.
01:55We put them in one room.
01:57Good night.
01:58How did this reborn dolphin come?
02:01Our background, our artists too.
02:03My father and her mother, they are sculptures and painters.
02:06I fell in love with this art.
02:09And when we married, she took her collections and everything to our new home.
02:14And I thought it was a little bit weird.
02:17And I told her, you know, you have to sell those babies or give it away.
02:20Because I don't like that that much.
02:23She sold that one like in two hours.
02:25She told me maybe we can make a baby like this.
02:28Because at that time, there were not too many artists doing this.
02:32So actually we are like three or four in the world doing that.
02:36Everyone is crying here.
02:37This is a very special baby for us.
02:39With the umbilical cord and everything, with placenta like a newborn baby.
02:44Look at here.
02:45You see the movement of this one?
02:47Is there any kind of like an emotional bonding in between you and the kids and the adults?
02:53They have like their favorite ones.
02:55Sometimes they go to sleep with them and actually they have like a...
03:00And they put it there and they play.
03:03You do this every morning? Every day?
03:05Yeah, like normal for I make like videos.
03:09My daughter, she likes to do a routine, you know?
03:11This is my routine in the morning what I do with my baby.
03:15My morning routine with my silicone baby.
03:20She likes to dress them up and she's like changing the diapers.
03:27So first I want to change the diaper.
03:30Because in the night they're make...
03:34Mejor ni digo que ni de.
03:36Okay.
03:36She make milk.
03:37Fake milk.
03:38Fake milk and give to them.
03:40Give it a bath to the baby.
03:42And just take care of the baby like it's a real one.
03:45And I put a little bit of water.
03:53And so I have put the dress.
03:56So this is like a little bit heavy, like seven pounds.
04:01And...
04:02She's ready.
04:03Are you afraid like maybe your kids are going to be, especially the younger ones, a bit confused about the
04:07dolls?
04:08They don't confuse it because when we have our first daughter, we present to her and tell them like you
04:14have to take care because they have a new brother, they don't want them, you know?
04:19And they reject them.
04:20And that's why we use them as preparing them.
04:23They learn to be patient and take care of them.
04:27How many babies have you met?
04:30That's a good question.
04:31Too many.
04:33Hundreds, I think.
04:34I search on the internet.
04:36And I like that mouth.
04:38I like that nose.
04:40I like that ears and everything.
04:42And she makes one baby from her imagination.
04:46Sometimes we make for people.
04:48Sometimes we make our own babies.
04:50To remember when they were babies.
04:54This one here and that one in there, they are not human babies.
04:57No.
04:58This is the head of a...
05:01English bulldog.
05:02English bulldog.
05:03It comes like this.
05:07It's famous.
05:10What is the price of one of these babies?
05:13One of her babies sold like for 10,000 dollars.
05:18It's like art.
05:19They are looking for...
05:21Limited edition.
05:22Limited edition, one of a kind.
05:24They collected like watches or you collect candles or whatever and they appreciate it like real art, you know?
05:31But also couples, young couples and they are trying to have babies but they cannot...
05:38I don't know it's complicated or something but then they get one baby like this and suddenly it's not so
05:44much stress to get a real baby and they get pregnant suddenly, you know?
05:48That's also therapy babies.
05:50So you think for some people this is therapeutic?
05:53Yeah, yeah, yeah.
05:54Yeah, yeah.
05:55A hundred percent.
05:56Yes.
05:56You're looking at criticism of negative comments.
05:59Yeah, it's all in social media, you know?
06:02Social media they are haters and they are followers and that's this world.
06:07And some people think it's weird.
06:09These are super creepy, not for me.
06:12Horrible.
06:13They look dead.
06:15Oh, yeah.
06:15Mutilating and blocking.
06:17These two are creepy.
06:19Sometimes we don't go out with our babies because we know already that it's going to be a lot of
06:25people.
06:26Okay.
06:27There it's time.
06:33If we go like for a shopping center or a mall or something, all the people come, I don't know
06:38what they think.
06:39Sometimes they look at you.
06:42Some people they are afraid but in three minutes they say I want one of those.
06:54I would love to get one. They look real and beautiful.
06:59Green baby.
07:00Green baby.
07:01We are not creating like monsters or something.
07:04We are creating like real babies to take care.
07:07Do you have a message for people who have judged you?
07:10For people who are judging us, you have to know us better
07:15and get involved with this kind of art.
07:17It's very easy sometimes to judge somebody, you know, for something.
07:21But if you give yourself the opportunity to look, to check it out and everything,
07:26I think I'm 100% sure that you will love them.
07:30Because I was like all these people before, you know?
07:33Do you think when your kids get old, adults, do you want them to also do the same thing?
07:38To have adults for their kids?
07:40Yeah.
07:41I think I'm 100% sure that the kids are going to take care of them.
07:44Because they are very artistic, they like the kids.
07:48Are you planning on having more babies? Real or reborn?
07:53Reborn.
07:54I want real ones.
07:57We started this years ago and we are very used to this kind of life, you know?
08:03I can't imagine a life without this stuff.
08:06Yeah.
08:08Yeah.
