00:00Good morning, what's your name?
00:02Dre.
00:03Dre?
00:03Yeah.
00:04Thank you for taking five minutes to talk with me, Dre.
00:06Dre, do you know what a paradigm shift is?
00:09No.
00:09I'm going to explain it to you.
00:11Think about this, man.
00:12Picture this.
00:12There was a blind man getting onto a bus.
00:15He was struggling to get up the stairs.
00:17Someone on the bus saw him.
00:19They had compassion on him and they gave up their seats so the blind man could sit down.
00:23Was that a good thing or a bad thing?
00:25I don't think that was a good thing.
00:26In most cases you're right but in this specific case it was the bus driver giving up his seat.
00:31Now you have a blind man driving the bus with a bunch of people in it.
00:35That's a paradigm shift.
00:37It's two sides of a coin.
00:38What seemed to be a really good idea became a really bad idea because I filled you in on new
00:43information.
00:43So, new information for you.
00:45Paradigm shift for you.
00:47Do you think you're a good person?
00:49I don't know.
00:50I think that's up for the next person to decide.
00:52What's that?
00:53I think that's up for the next person to decide.
00:55Well, I'm going to give you a standard to judge yourself by because if you ask most people if they're
01:01a good person.
01:02Let me tell you.
01:03They'll tell you how good they are.
01:05I mean, they'll go on and on about how good they are.
01:07I've been addressing your mind, your intellect, and I'm going to switch gears for a moment.
01:12I'm going to address your conscience.
01:14The word conscience actually means two words.
01:16It means with knowledge.
01:18Con, with, and science knowledge.
01:19So, how many lies do you think you've told in your whole life?
01:24Would you say countless?
01:26Countless.
01:26What do you call someone who tells countless lies?
01:29Liar.
01:30Yep.
01:30You ever stolen anything?
01:31Ever in your whole life, irrespective of the value when you were a kid?
01:34Yeah.
01:35What do you call someone who steals?
01:37A thief?
01:38Yes, I have.
01:39Ever used God's name in vain?
01:41A few times, yes.
01:42Jesus said if you look at a woman and lust for her, you've committed adultery with her in your heart.
01:47You ever looked at the naked picture of a woman ever in your whole life?
01:49No, I have not.
01:50Never?
01:51I do not go towards lust.
01:53You've never looked at an...
01:54Think back.
01:55When you were a kid, like looking at a magazine or a picture online?
01:59I mean, maybe.
02:00Okay.
02:01Yeah.
02:02So, Dre, I'm not judging you.
02:04I just gave you God's standard of good, the Ten Commandments.
02:07This is for you to judge yourself.
02:09You just told me, by your own admission, that you're a lying, thieving, blasphemous, fornicating adult to a heart.
02:15Now, do you still think you're a good person?
02:17No.
02:18You don't?
02:19I don't either, man.
02:21Every time I walk other people through that, I remind myself I'm not a good person either.
02:26So, here's the biggest hint of your life.
02:28If God were to judge you by that perfect standard, God forbid you were to die tonight in your sleep,
02:33would you be innocent or guilty?
02:35I'm guilty.
02:35Would you go to heaven or hell?
02:37Hell.
02:38Yeah.
02:38Does that concern you, man?
02:39It concerns me, man.
02:40I love you.
02:41I care for you.
02:41The thought of you ending up in hell, it horrifies me, man.
02:46Revelation 21.8 says all liars will have their part in the lake of fire.
02:50So, I want to see you in heaven.
02:51I'm going to give you a key right now that will unlock the gates of heaven of their own accord.
02:56Do you know what God did for dying sinners like us so we could have the death sentence taken off
03:01of us?
03:02No.
03:03Have you heard of Jesus dying on the cross?
03:06Yeah.
03:06Everybody in America has heard that, but most people have absolutely no value in it because they don't understand it.
03:11If you get a hold of them about to tell you, it's going to change everything for you.
03:14Think about this.
03:15The Ten Commandments are God's moral law.
03:18You and I violated, broke that moral law, and Jesus stepped into the courtroom and he paid your fine.
03:24There was a legal transaction taking place on that cross.
03:27Just before he died, he said something very profound.
03:29He said, it is finished.
03:30What in the world is he saying?
03:31Saying paid in full.
03:32We broke the law.
03:33Jesus paid the fine.
03:34God literally punished his son so you and I could leave the courtroom.
03:38You got, Dre, you got $10,000 in speeding tickets.
03:40You're standing for a judge.
03:41You don't have the money to pay it.
03:42You stand up and say, judge, I'm a good person.
03:44I'll never do it again.
03:45He could care less.
03:47You're going to spend up to five years in prison if you don't have that money to pay it.
03:51But if someone comes in and pays your fine, even though you're still guilty, the judge says, Dre's fine's been
03:57paid for.
03:57The charges are dropped and you walk out of the courtroom a free man.
04:00And that's in essence what happened on that cross.
04:02We broke the law and Jesus stepped into the courtroom and paid your fine.
04:06But the two things you have to do in response to that is repent of your sins.
04:10Say, Lord, I'm sorry.
04:11I have lied and stolen.
04:12I've fornicated.
04:13I've blasphemed your name.
04:14Please forgive me of my sin.
04:16And the Bible says God is rich in mercy.
04:19God's wrath upon sin will pass over you because it landed on Jesus 2000 years ago.
04:25You receive Christ's righteousness and your sin is laid upon him.
04:30Does that make sense?
04:31It's substitutionary atonement.
04:32So you can leave the courtroom.
04:34So please think about this, man.
04:36I love you.
04:36I care for you.
04:37I want to see in heaven.
04:39150,000 people die every 24 hours.
04:41We're not getting out of here alive.
04:4310 out of 10 people die.
04:44Man, you could retire on a tropical island, but you're still going to die.
04:48So God's not playing games with us.
04:50Death is wages.
04:51God is paying you for your sins.
04:53The Bible says the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus,
04:57our Lord.
04:58So do you have a Bible at home?
05:00Yeah.
05:00When's the last time you read it?
05:02I ain't never read it.
05:03That's not mine.
05:03Well, do me a fair.
05:05I'm going to give you a Bible and give you some other things.
05:07But is there any final thoughts or questions you have on this?
05:10No.
05:11That's a lot to take in.
05:12Yeah, it is.
05:13So if you died tonight in your sleep, here's the biggest question.
05:17Where would you go?
05:19I don't know.
05:19The Bible says you'd end up in hell.
05:21There's two things you got to do.
05:22Repent of your sins and trust in Jesus Christ like a parachute.
05:26You're going to jump out of an airplane at 10,000 feet.
05:28When are you going to do that?
05:31You know what's holding you back?
05:33You love your sin, man.
05:34You love your fornication.
05:36You love your lying.
05:36You're stealing.
05:37I know.
05:38But God will give you a new heart with new desires.
05:41He'll give you your own personal miracle.
05:43You'll hunger and thirst for righteousness.
05:45You'll no longer be drug around by sin.
05:48It won't be fornication and idolatry and sleeping around.
05:52It won't be.
05:53It won't.
05:53It won't.
05:55The chains will drop off of you.
05:57And then you'll see, man, I've been freed from this thing that is killing me, basically.
06:02So at least think about this, would you?
06:04Yeah, sure.
06:04God bless you.
