00:00At 1.30 this morning, the security detail detected that an individual had made his way into the inter-perimeter
00:09of Mar-a-Lago.
00:11A deputy and two Secret Service agents on the detail went to that area to investigate.
00:18They confronted a white male that was carrying a gas can and a shotgun.
00:24He was ordered to drop those two pieces of equipment that he had with him, at which time he put
00:32down the gas can, raised the shotgun to a shooting position.
00:38At that point in time, the deputy and the two Secret Service agents fired their weapons and neutralized the threat.
00:44He is deceased at the scene.
00:47I will give you a picture of the shotgun and the gas can they have with you.
00:52So that's what we know now.
00:54The investigation continues.
00:57The FBI is the lead investigation agency on this case.

01:28Since this area of the shooting was under Secret Service protection at the time, the FBI is assisting the investigation.

02:16This is what we call the officer while responding to an armed individual as one of the gates at Mar
02:22-a-Locca.
02:24Preliminary information indicates that the individual was armed with a shotgun in a possession of a gasoline canister.
02:31Agents and the deputy discharging firearms stopped the threat.
02:34At this time, no law enforcement personnel were injured during the incident.
02:39We want to be clear, the President of the United States was not in the state of Florida.
02:45And this remains an active investigation by the FBI.
