Over five energy-sapping events and the infamous Eliminator, only the strongest and fastest will make it to the next stage. Who has the will and the skill to conquer the terrible Travelator and secure a place in the semi-finals? In this round, Hammer puts a sock in it, Viper leaves the other Gladiators in the dark, and the Contenders take on another new, punishing event.

01:09In the heat, six female contenders saw off the competition to make it to the quarterfinals.
01:15Tonight, Naomi and Ellie will battle the Gladiators before facing off against each other in the Eliminator for a place
01:22in the semis.
01:24First up is Scottish-born veterinary surgeon Ellie, who put in a dogged performance in the heats.
01:30On Unleash, she managed to evade Electro, but fell short of the flag for five points.
01:36On Duel, she showcased her staying power, scrapping with savour and standing tall.
01:42That helmet was the only thing keeping my head on.
01:46In the Eliminator, she overcame a six and a half seconds deficit, and after two determined attempts on the Travelator,
01:53swung her way into the quarterfinals.
01:55When you get put down, you get back up again and he keeps trying.
02:00Business consultant Naomi had no trouble stepping out of the office and into the arena to face the Gladiators.

09:41And his rugby background helped him tackle Gauntlet at breakneck speed.

48:47then the climbing rope, overhead ladders,
48:49cargo net, zipline, balance beam,
48:51and the travelator.
48:52And the partridge in a pear tree.
48:58Fair enough.
48:59It's the Eliminator!

49:04First off, our female contenders go head-to-head
49:07for a semi-final spot.
49:09Naomi's two points ahead of Ellie,
49:11and that converts into a one-second lead
49:13for the Eliminator.
49:17For a place in the semi-final,

49:33So, Naomi with that slender advantage
49:36as they both get it on.
49:38Ellie overcame a six-and-a-half-second deficit
49:41to win through in her heat.
