00:14in a different way.
00:15We are doing something in a very powerful way
00:18and we are using things that some people thought
00:20we should use in the first place.
00:22But it is more complicated,
00:24it is a little more complicated,
00:25the process takes a little more time,
00:27but the end result is going to get us more money
00:29and I think it is going to be great.
00:35So, since Liberation Day,
00:36there is about $175 billion in tariff revenue
00:40that is now in limbo.
00:42आपतो हैं।। एको Especially Fair बु anno,
00:48इ capital looking minutes and months to write it opinion and they don't even
00:52discuss that point we take it in hundreds of billions of dollars not
00:57millions hundreds of billions of dollars and so I say well what happens
01:02to all the money that we taken.
01:03it wasn't discussed, when you think they would have put one sentence in
01:07there saying that, keep the money or don't keep the money right i
01:11I guess it has to get litigated for the next two years.
01:14So they write this terrible defective decision, totally defective.
01:21It's almost like not written by smart people.
01:24And what they do?
01:25They don't even talk about it.
01:26Your question is very basic.
01:28That was the first question I asked also to make you feel good.
01:30They say, what about all the money that we've taken in?
01:33Sir, they don't discuss that.
01:35How crazy is that?
01:38What you're saying is, are you saying that you don't plan to honor refunds for companies
01:42that file for them?
01:43I just told you the answer, right?
01:45I told you the answer.
01:46It's not discussed.
01:47We'll end up being in court for the next five years.
01:53Go ahead.
01:54Green.
01:54Green.
01:55Thank you, Mr. President.
01:56When you are talking about the relationship with countries that you have sought trade deals
02:01with, do you anticipate that they will seek to renegotiate those?
02:05Those?
02:05What do you say to them?
02:07And do you view this as a potential undermining power for your negotiations?
02:11Well, we're going straight ahead with 10 percent straight across the board, which was the absolute
02:15right to do.
02:16And that's taking place.
02:18That's a lot of money coming into our country.
02:20And then during that period of about five months, we are doing the various investigations
02:25necessary to put fair tariffs or tariffs, period, on other countries.
02:33So we're doing that period.
02:34But we're immediately instituting the 10 percent provision, which we're allowed
02:38to do.
02:39And in the end, I think we're taking more money than we've taken in before.
02:42Mr. President, you've used the tariff revenue to pay for a host of federal policies.
02:50You've claimed that they will pay for them.
02:52What happens to those things?
02:53Well, like the farmers.
02:54We took care of farmers.
02:56You know, the farmers were mistreated by foreign countries very badly, very, very badly.
03:00And last week, I gave them $12 billion out of tariff money.
03:05We intend to — out of tariff money — because — just so you understand, we have tariffs.
03:11We just have them in a different way.
03:13And now they've been confirmed by the Supreme Court of the United States.
03:18So there's no longer that question out there about tariffs.
03:21And we'll be taking in hundreds of billions of dollars.
03:24And countries that have treated us badly will have to pay a price for treating us badly.
03:30And countries that have been good to us will be treated very well.
03:33Well, we just left the top person in a place called Vietnam — just left my office,
03:40great gentleman, strong and smart — he said, you know, I think this means you're allowed
03:45to charge us more tariffs than before.
03:49And Canada said to Jameson — I might want to say it, Jameson — but Canada said, I hope
03:56you win this decision, because if you don't win, you'll actually be allowed to charge us
04:00with a little additional work, higher tariffs.
04:03Jameson, you want to comment on that?
04:06Yes, sir.
04:06So, to the President's point, we have a lot of tools out there.
04:10We have Section 122, which will be implemented today — it will be signed today and implemented
04:14very shortly.
04:15We have Section 301 investigations, which are incredibly legally durable, where we can
04:21address — investigate and address unfair trading practices that have led to our huge trade
04:25deficit.
04:26And so you can look forward in the coming days and weeks to seeing all of that come out.
04:29And we're going to keep continuity in the program.
04:32We're going to keep addressing this so that the deficit could keep going down.
04:36That's the trend it has.
04:37And we can make America great heads.
04:38The President.
04:42Several of Republicans in Congress have supported this decision by the Supreme Court.
04:47And Hakeem Jeffries, the Democratic leader, has called your old wannabe king.
04:52Why wouldn't —
04:53The Pressicho Panelist, he doesn't even know — I watched him the other day interview.

05:49What's the score on the Republican side?
05:502 15 to 3, right?
05:52But you don't say that.
05:53We have great unity.
05:54There's great unity in the Republican Party,
05:56and I hope everyone is going to vote Republican
05:58because otherwise you won't have a country left
06:00because these people are destroying our country.
06:03Please.
06:04The President, the 122 tariffs, that 10 percent,
06:08is that going to be for 150 days
06:10or do you want to charge that indefinitely?
06:12The President, we have a right to do pretty much
06:14what we want to do, but we're going to charge it
06:16starting effectively.
06:17I think it's three days from now.

06:57He said, this great, big, beautiful bill, frankly,
07:02has been the best thing that's ever happened for the workers of the-
07:06much more so than for rich people.
07:08The only thing it does for rich people-
07:09it allows them to hire a lot more people.
07:12But when I saw him, and then he said,
07:14it's all up and down the line.
07:16This is a place in Georgia.
07:18All up and down.
07:19Other factories doing different, not only steel products different.

07:50by the way,
07:51just, I might add this,
07:52it's not really relevant
07:54but it's all relevant,
07:57murders are down the lowest
07:59since 1900,
08:01around the time that he had this planned.
08:03That's 125 years we have the lowest
08:05murder rate, okay.
08:06And our crime is way down in the country.
08:10The factories that we're talking about,
08:12the people that we're talking about,
08:14they are so thrilled with Trump.
08:16So whether we charge IEPA tariffs
08:18or whether we charge tariffs under a different section that's what we're going to be doing there's
08:23no way we can elaborate this is what happened to our country this is why we owe 38 trillion dollars
08:28which we'll get rid of in pretty good course we have a very incompetent fed chairman who likes
08:37high interest rates for political reasons he likes them but uh we're gonna have somebody very good
08:43interest rates should come down very substantially i think we should pay we should pay the lowest
08:48interest rates on the planet there should be no country and we don't do that we're number 38.
08:55this is just bad policy for a long period of time but what's happened is we've made america strong
09:01again we've made america great again we should pay as an example uh the country of switzerland
09:08uh we were getting almost no tariffs from then we had a 40 billion dollar deficit
09:15and the prime minister called me up she said but we are a small country because i said we're going
09:18to
09:19raise it to 39 percent from nothing that would have rendered them not very successful as opposed to
09:27right now they're considered elite but if we put a tariff they went and i realized then she said but
09:33sure we are a small country i said you're a small country with a big deficit for us you're making
09:38a lot of money off the united states if we do that a lot of these elite countries they're elite
09:45because
09:45we let them make so much money and i want them to do well but i don't want them to
09:51do well on the backs
09:53of the american tax payers so i appreciate your question
