00:00Well, I'd start off by saying that the King's response has been absolutely right.
00:04The law must take its course.
00:07I think that now that a police investigation has been opened,
00:10all of us in public life need to give space for that investigation
00:13to be carried out appropriately.
00:17This is obviously a very significant concern for the King.
00:20This is his brother.
00:22But what I would say is that the way that he has handled this issue
00:25has been exemplary and a real contrast to the Prime Minister
00:29who, when he had a member of his government, someone he appointed,
00:34embroiled in this scandal, he did everything he could to cover it up.
00:37He should have taken lessons from His Majesty,
00:40who did the right thing at every single point.
00:42I think that we need to give the police the space to carry out their investigation.
00:48I think the King has been absolutely right in terms of his response.
00:51There are serious concerns, and the law must be followed.
00:55The law must apply to everyone equally, no matter who they are.
01:00We believe in equality under the law as Conservatives,
01:03and I'm really pleased to see that that's what His Majesty has also said.
