00:49and to the televiewers at yung mga watchers natin online, good morning po.
00:54Alright, Doc, para po sa kaalaman ng ating mga kababayan,
00:58ano po ba talaga yung heart attack at paano ito nangyayari sa katawan ng tao?
01:04Ang heart attack is ito yung kondisyon sa puso, ito yung sakit,
01:10kung saan nagpapara yung ating ugat sa puso.
01:13Yung ugat is, we call it coronary artery.
01:15Ito yung nagdadala ng blood sa, nagsusupply ng blood para sa muscle ng heart,
01:21para mag-function siya ng maayos.
01:24So, kapag bumara siya, which is usually cholesterol po,
01:27ang dahilan ng pagbabaran niyan,
01:29kapag napakasikip ng pagbara,
01:32yung daloy ng dugo, e medyo kumukonte,
01:35at saka kapag total yung bara, meaning total obstruction talaga,
01:39yun yung heart attack na nangyayari.
01:41Alright, Doc, ano po ang mga pangunayang sanhi nitong heart attack?
01:47Okay, so, very common.
01:49Yung sinabi ko kanina, cholesterol talaga.
01:52So, ito yung nagpapara, ito yung nagpidevelop doon sa vessel ng ating mga arteries sa puso.
02:00So, as we age talaga, medyo ang nagpapara talaga yun.
02:03That's a natural process.
02:04Pero, bumibilis ang pagbara niya kapag kumakain tayo ng matig,
02:10ng mga oily food, ng fatty food,
02:13and kapag yung lifestyle natin,
02:16e makakalimutan natin yung healthy diet,
02:21at saka yung exercise,
02:22at saka pinakamabilis din ang pagbara ng ugat natin
02:26kapag tayo ay naninigarilyo, umiinom,
02:29at saka kulang tayo ng pahingat.
02:33So, those are very simple things,
02:35pero very difficult to do.
02:37Well, may mga iba po kasing nararamdaman ng mga tao,
02:41halimbawa, heartburn,
02:43or minsan parang muscle pain lang sa dibdib.
02:45Ano pong kaibahan kapag ito po'y sinyalis na na papunta na sa heart attack?
02:52Yes, yun yung very common na medyo confusion,
02:56kasi maraming cases ngayon na parang nag-heartburn daw sila.
03:00So, heartburn is practically, it's a layman's term para sa hyperacidity na tinatawag natin.
03:06So, usually kapag yun yung nararamdaman ng tao,
03:10kapag kumain siya,
03:12o di kaya kapag uminom siya ng antacid,
03:14usually nawawala yun.
03:16Pero ang problema kapag hindi siya nawala,
03:19especially kung ang pasyente natin ay maraming comorbidity,
03:22like for example,
03:25meron siyang hypertension na drug,
03:27meron siyang diabetes,
03:29naninigarilyo siya,
03:30he is like above 40,
03:32at saka medyo strong family history ng cardiovascular disease,
03:38hindi na siya dapat isipin yung hyperacidity lang.
03:42So, kapag ganun, kapag may duda na talaga,
03:45mas mainam na pumunta ng doktor nyo,
03:48or di kaya pumunta ng pinakamalapit na hospital,
03:51kapag hindi siya nawawala yung nararamdaman natin.
03:55Dok, ano-ano pong early warning signs na dapat bantayan?
04:00Yes, early warning signs,
04:03katulad ng minsan,
04:05talagang ano siya,
04:06ang typical angina na sinasabi namin,
04:09yung parang sumisikit yung dibdib,
04:11sumasakit yung dibdib,
04:12tsaka minsan nag-ra-reject yan dito sa left side ng arm,
04:16minsan yung iba parang sinasakal.
04:19So, yan yung mga typical signs of ang sinatawag namin doon,
04:23or chest pain na leading to a heart attack.
04:26Yung mga typical signs naman,
04:28ito yung mga sinyalis or simptoma na nararamdaman na mga,
04:32especially na mga diabetic natin yung mga pasyente.
04:35So, minsan hindi siya typical na chest pain,
04:38minsan ang nararamdaman nila is parang hinihingal sila,
04:43yung parang caught envelope lang,
04:45medyo mahingal na sila,
04:46which normally hindi sila ganun.
04:49So, yan yung isang atypical na sign.
04:52Sometimes din yan yung pumapasok yung heartburn,
04:56o yung epigastric,
04:57or parang hyperacidity symptom lang.
05:00Kaya siya minsan nakaka,
05:02nalilito yung pasyente,
05:03or minsan nag-dating about it as a benign problem,
05:07kasi sabi, acid-acid eh.
05:09So, kapag ganun,
05:10kapag yun yung mga atypical signs na dapat nating bantayan,
05:14at saka kapag paulit-ulit siya,
05:16na nararamdaman mo siya everyday,
05:19halos araw-araw na,
05:21magpatingin ka na talaga.
05:22Those are early signs of a heart attack.
05:25Okay, Doc,
05:26mas mababa ba yung chance ng heart attack
05:28sa mga taong meron ng maintenance medicine?
05:33Well, at some point,
05:35kapag may maintenance medicine,
05:37actually hindi lang maintenance medicine
05:39yung tinitingnan natin.
05:41Tinitingnan natin yung control.
05:43Like for example,
05:44even if you're taking maintenance medicine
05:46for hypertension,
05:47or kaya for diabetes,
05:49pero hindi naman nakukontrol yung blood pressure mo,
05:52tsaka yung diabetes mo,
05:54yung risk mo,
05:55the same pa din.
05:56Pero kapag controlled siya
05:58with maintenance medications,
06:00maintenance medications,
06:01lifestyle chains,
06:03dapat kasama yan eh,
06:04hindi lang gamot eh.
06:05So kailangan talaga lifestyle,
06:07yun yung first line talaga natin.
06:10And then followed by pharmacologic
06:12o yung gamot na ginagamit natin.
06:14So kapag all those things are combined,
06:17and then we see the numbers are down,
06:19yung blood pressure,
06:20tsaka yung blood sugar,
06:21for example,
06:22even your cholesterol are down,
06:24dun nasasabi natin,
06:25your risk actually decreases talaga,
06:27significantly po.
06:29Doc,
06:30ano ang isang malagang paalala
06:31ang gusto nyo'yong tandaan natin,
06:33mga ka-RSP,
06:34tungkol po sa ating kalusugan,
06:36sa ating puso?
06:38Okay,
06:39yung reminder natin
06:41on how to take care of our heart,
06:43how to take care of our health,
06:45has been there for decades already.
06:48Alam na natin yun eh,
06:49yung pinakamahirap lang
06:51ang pag-implement noon,
06:52ang paggawa noon,
06:54kasi medyo mahirap naman talaga siya,
06:56kasi you really have to exert an effort to do it.
07:00So yung diet,
07:00yung lifestyle,
07:01actually,
07:02these are lifestyles,
07:03sa saan pinag-uusapan natin.
07:05So we're talking about lifestyle,
07:08diet,
07:09we're talking about exercise,
07:11we're talking about adequate rest,
07:13and then if you have medicines,
07:15if you have maintenance medicines,
07:16dapat you have to take them regularly.
07:19So those are simple reminders,
07:21pero sometimes very challenging to do.
07:25So if you want to live longer,
07:28if you want to prevent diseases in the future,
07:30talagang we need to make an effort.
07:32Parang investment.
07:35If you're investing in a certain business,
07:40you know ang katawan natin,
07:41that our body also has a proper living thing,
07:45and live long and healthier lifespan.

08:00because we are,
08:01I'm from Pocollen City,
08:03so every year,
08:04we are celebrating Heart Month.
08:06It's an advocacy of our society,
08:09the Philippine Heart Association.
08:11It's a nationwide activity.
08:13Every region po,
08:14we are celebrating this one
08:16for us to be able to spread out the news
08:19na it's important for us
08:21to naalagaan natin ang ating mga puso.
08:25So for this year,
08:25Pocollen City is chosen to host this nationals event.
08:30So the major event will be tomorrow,
08:33February 21, Saturday,
08:35dito sa Pocollen City College Activity Center sa Pocollen.
08:38So all of our officers from Manila will be coming over.
08:42We have invited people from barangay level,
08:45so community level talaga tayo.
08:48So it's going to be like,
08:50we are going to train them
08:51on how to do proper CPR,
08:52basic life support,
08:54at we're going to teach them
08:55on how to take care of our heart.
08:57At the same time,
08:58we are inviting actually
09:00yung mga frontlines natin sa barangay
09:02para at least when they know it,
09:04they have the responsibility
09:05to spread it sa constituents nila sa community.
09:09So that will be happening tomorrow, Paul.
