SCARY MOMENT ELEPHANT CHASES AFTER SAFARI JEEP WITH VID By Saloni Mathur Checkout this scary video showing an elephant charging towards a safari in full sprint. Darshana Pradeep Kumar, a tour operator at Wasgamuwa National Park in Sri Lanka, captured the heart-stopping moments. He was taking some tourists on a tour of the national park when they stopped to admire a group of elephants. One of the elephants suddenly charged towards the safari and lightly tapped the bonnet of the jeep with its front paws. The driver made loud banging noises to scare the giant, and it retreated. Darshana says that elephants typically charge or chase safari vehicles when they feel threatened, territorial, or protective of their young. One viewer commented: "That’s not an attack that’s defence. This baby is defending his family." Another added: "That’s not an elephant attack….you lucky that’s not an African elephant… he would of smashed your vehicle." ENDS
