00:00Milo, I would like to know first,
00:02how did you connect emotionally with this story?
00:06Oh boy, there was a beautiful script
00:09and a wonderful character and as an actor
00:12you always want to play a wonderful character
00:14and then to have it be a real live human being
00:18just made it that much more enriching and full
00:21and honestly connected to Tim's goodness and his grace
00:27and how he carried himself and the film,
00:31how he carries himself, getting to know Tim,
00:36in the face of difficult moments and difficult times
00:40and things like a cancer sentence and what not.
00:43How do you change yourself or kind of inspire
00:48starting yourself through other people
00:51or other people through yourself?
00:53Having a hard time answering this one
00:55but it's just, it was one of those things where
00:58it was just a beautiful role
00:59and he's a beautiful human being
01:01and I was given the gift to honor him
01:06and for me as an artist there's like no greater,
01:09greater, you know, gift to me than to be able to do that.
01:14And that goes both ways
01:15because I felt the same honor on the other side of it.
01:18Tim, how does it feel to see your story,
01:22your life on the big screen?
01:24Yeah, I think that the scenes that I cry the most at
01:27are the ones with my wife
01:29and watching some of my cancer journey through her eyes
01:32and seeing how she dealt with it
01:35and yeah, that was really a huge moment for me to watch that.
01:40Even then to see my own cancer journey from the other side of me,
01:44like we don't get to see ourselves from that place.
01:46So, that was really impactful.
01:49Milo, what message do you hope the audience takes away after watching the movie?
01:55There's not just one, I think, you know, I hope the film inspires some feeling
02:00and inspires goodness and gratitude and connection.
02:05And I think that's something that's kind of missing a lot of times is, you know,
02:08we have these feelings for ourselves but are we connecting with others in them?
02:11You know, are we feeling gratitude?
02:15Are we feeling grace within ourselves and are we able to connect with others on that?
02:21Especially now.
02:22Especially now.
02:23There's a lot of division but I'm hoping a film like this can connect others in that goodness,
02:29in the light, in the way of looking out for one another.
02:33And kind of as Tim in the movie said, you know, you're not alone.
02:38You're not alone.
02:39That was, I mean, something my mom said to me when I was a little kid very early on.
02:42You're never alone.
02:43You know, so that was a line in the film that resonated with me
02:46and hopefully people can take that from the movie and be inspired by that.
02:50How much did you get involved in the creative process during the shooting of the film?
02:56Yeah, there are a bunch of interviews that Hillary and I did together with the writers and the Kingdom crew
03:04and then when I found out it was him, we spent a bunch of time on Zoom and FaceTime
03:10and then in real life and getting to know each other and I got to be at the set a
03:16lot.
03:16Every day.
03:17Yeah.
03:17It was actually very endearing.
03:19He asked, like, hey, is it going to throw you off if I'm on set?
03:21I'm like, no, no.
03:22Please be there.
03:22It was so fun.
03:24And also, like, if there's something you see that I'm missing that I'm not quite getting, tell me.
03:29I'm like, I love the direction.
03:30I love the specificity.
03:31And at the same time, I'm just soaking up who Tim is as much as I can.
03:36Even, like, the small moments that I would hear you say something to somebody.
03:39Yeah.
03:40And we're just hanging out.
03:41And then I'm like, I'm going to put that in the movie.
03:44Yeah.
03:44Yeah, yeah.
03:44You nailed it.
03:45The whole thing, so.
03:46What have you learned from your character, from Tim?
03:49there wasn't a learning so much as there was an affirmation you know I try to to lead with love
03:56I try to lead with gratitude I try to lead with the strength that is just some internal engine
04:03that keeps me going and it's a very good furnace and I saw that on the page but I saw
04:09that even
04:10more apparent in who Tim is so everything that Tim is all that goodness all that grace all that
04:16gratitude is affirming how you already live your life you're wanting to live your life yeah exactly
04:22so you know it wasn't so much the lessons as it was just the affirmation what was most important
04:28for you that the movie got right about your story I just I I think if there's something I want
04:35people
04:35to take away it would be the ability to have the little and in between grief and gratitude not
04:43um life is hard but God is good it's like life is hard and God is good and these can
04:49live at the
04:49same time the same place so I I think just grateful for another day like if we were more grateful
04:56all
04:56of us just that we woke up again today and we're like God what do you have for me today
05:00who do I
05:01get to love today that would be brilliant if people could come away with that for me you too
05:06we'll take it thank you so much
