00:02Welcome to Viva Tech Debrief, I'm Tommy Mishraki and you're watching Viva Tech News broadcasting live from Paris at the
00:09heart of the world's biggest startup and tech events.
00:12It has been a roller coaster of a day, starting with Maurice Lévy of the advertising giant Publicis and Pierre
00:20Louet, CEO of French media group Les Echos, opening Viva Tech 2023 and finishing out as we speak with some
00:28major announcement by the French president Emmanuel Macron on the future of artificial intelligence in France and Europe.
00:36Let's take a listen to a short clip of his talk today on stage one. It just happened a moment
00:42ago.
01:45So that's Emmanuel Macron talking about artificial intelligence. He wants to invest a lot, as much as the U.S.
01:51and China. Regulation is key, he says, but it has to be done after, after investing and development of artificial
02:01intelligence.
02:01I mean, this is what the French president wants to do. We'll see how he does this. I'm very happy
02:06to welcome you guys on the set.
02:09You've been with us all day, Stacey Binion, Simon Harding, Alexi Lallement. You've been walking around the Vivitech Hall today,
