00:00Do you want to build a snowman? Well, NASA's Landsat 8 satellite recently saw this snowman-shaped image in the
00:07snow from space, and this is located in Russia, up in the Siberian region, and it's off of Cape Billings,
00:14as you can see on the map, and the city of Billings is nearby, but this image is really helpful
00:19for scientists to study remote areas that are difficult to access, and to keep tabs on snowfall throughout the year,
00:26and how snowfall fluctuates throughout the year as well.
00:29Read more on our website about our image of the day, as well as other cool Earth from Space satellite

NASA does NOT own or operate Landsat 8 or Landsat 9. They are owned and operated by the US Geological Survey (USGS) which is part of the Department of The Interior.
