00:00We just had a joint press statement from both Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French
00:06President Emmanuel Macron. Both of them highlighted the fact that the Indo-French relationship is very
00:14important for each and that it goes a long way. And this year, especially 2026, will see accelerating
00:22their relationship and deepen their relationship. They both talked about technology and emerging
00:29technologies like semiconductors, green technology transfer and AI and how there is a need to
00:39jointly work on exchange of technology and researchers and also space technology. Both
00:47leaders said and appreciated each other that in the last eight years, they have widened the scope
00:54of their areas, ranging from 20 areas. And they will also be hosting, France is hosting
01:02G7, where Macron invited Modi. And India will be hosting BRICS, where both the leaders have
01:10stressed that it shows how important these two countries are. And they have to work together in
01:16geopolitics, bringing geopolitical stability and and bring peace. They both mentioned the ongoing war
01:23in Ukraine and West Asia and how peace and dialogue is important in these uncertain geopolitical times.
01:32They have they have said that they have a consistent bilateral ties, but they need to work more and open
01:39more areas of cooperation. Also, Macron mentioned that he wants to he wants entertainment industry to go for
01:47co-production, apart from also improving and advancing mobility for students from both India and France and
01:57removing transit visa requirement for Indians into France. So these are the basic highlights of the bilateral
02:05talks that has just concluded here in Mumbai.
