00:02At least five people were injured after a regional train derailed in the Swiss Alps on Monday morning, authorities said.
00:09The accident occurred in the Canton of Valais, near the town of Goppenstein.
00:15It happened as the region was under its second highest avalanche warning, level 4 out of 5.
00:21The train was en route between Goppenstein and Houghton, derailing at around 7 a.m. with 29 people on board,
00:30the Valais cantonal police stated in a press release.
00:33According to the initial elements of the investigation, an avalanche could have crossed the railway shortly before the convoy passed,
