Replacing previous collage of vintage WWLTV Eyewitness News 4 opens from 1980, the peak of Channel 4's "The Best Things In Life" era, with better-sounding version of the fully-intact 6PM open.

Listed below are the years and order in which the opens are in. No copyright infringement intended.

00:01—WWL-TV Noon Eyewitness News 4 open from 1980
00:16—WWL-TV 6pm Eyewitness News 4 open from 1980
00:40—WWL-TV 10pm Eyewitness News 4 open from 1980
01:03—WWL-TV weekend Eyewitness News 4 open from 1980
01:22—WWL-TV weekend Eyewitness News 4 open from 1981 (with Anne Simon)

All I need now are the 1980 opens from The Morning Edition (with John Quaintance and Don Westbrook) and 5pm (with Bill Elder, Jim Henderson and Nash Roberts), and my collection will be complete!

For as long as there still exists a City of New Orleans, as long as The Saints continue their drive to punch another ticket to The Big Game, as long as The Saint Charles Streetcar continues to get us there and bring us back despite RTA's still-garbled, still garbage transit system, as long as there continue to be enough Carnival seasons to keep parade revelers entertained, drunk and uninhibited for generations to come, never will there ever be a brand more suited to or synonymous with WWL Television other than Eyewitness News. Ever. 😊
