01:24We talk so much about the Epstein files these past few weeks.
01:29The emails, the case summaries, the reports, the photos, unfortunately.
01:33What about the videos?
01:34What about the tapes?
01:35What about the Epstein tapes?
01:37From a legal point of view, I will tell you,
01:39sometimes I can't think of a more compelling piece of evidence
01:42to show a jury than videos.
01:44Because videos, they capture something that no other piece of evidence can.
01:47Movements, actions, time, behavior.
01:50And here, again, I'll throw in the unfortunately,
01:53there are tapes in the Epstein files release that we got to talk about.
01:57We are referring to more than 2,000 videos with hours of footage.
02:01All a part of the Department of Justice's release of materials
02:05through the Epstein Files Transparency Act.
02:07And this includes the tapes of Jeffrey Epstein himself,
02:11which are particularly strange
02:13because we never really hear this guy speak before,
02:15let alone in this way.
02:16And remember, he's the man at the center of all this,
02:18and we'll get to that.
02:19But I do want to preface this by saying
02:21that much of the footage is redacted,
02:24and we don't know the ages or the identities
02:27of the women and the girls that have been covered by black boxes,
02:30so I'll be just calling them females
02:32since, again, we don't know how old they are.
02:34Now, I do want to talk about arguably
02:36some of the most uncomfortable clips first, okay?
02:38Some of the footage included in the release is pretty innocuous.
02:43Someone playing with a small dog,
02:45what looks like a promotional piece for Little St. James Island,
02:49often called Epstein's Island, which he owned.
02:51Now, I say innocuous.
02:52We know what was happening on that island
02:54was allegedly not innocent.
02:56Multiple victims have come forward
02:57to say that they were assaulted and abused on that island.
03:00That island is also the centerpiece
03:02for many potential scandals,
03:03with people questioning whether some of the world's wealthiest
03:06and most powerful people visited it.
03:08If there's a claim that you visited that island,
03:10it's as toxic as it gets.
03:12Now, some of the clips, although they're redacted,
03:15obviously pornography sites.
03:16It's unclear how many of the clips
03:18were from legitimate online porn sites
03:20and how many were created by Epstein's victims at his behest,
03:24but several of the porn videos have website watermarks at the bottom
03:27referencing teens, unfortunately.
03:30But other videos are just strange.
03:33For example, you've got this selfie video of Epstein
03:36making weird and unsettling faces into the camera.
03:39There's another that shows him standing up on a countertop
03:42in a large kitchen and then getting down
03:44and literally chasing a female around the room.
03:47Again, I don't know how old this person is.
03:49There's also footage of him dancing with someone
03:51in what appears to be a hallway.
03:52You know what, actually, there are lots of dancing videos
03:55with several apparently filmed in Epstein's office
03:58at his home in New York City.
04:00And I just gotta say this, how creepy is this one?
04:02In one of the videos, you can clearly see a paternity test,
04:06this kit sitting on Epstein's desk.
04:09Some of the footage is especially unsettling
04:11because while we don't know the age of the females in the video,
04:14there are also stuffed animals visible in the frame.
04:18For example, this selfie video of someone holding
04:20a Cookie Monster doll.
04:22And another, which we can assume, based on the context,
04:25contains pornographic material,
04:27shows a teddy bear in the background.
04:28And there's even a video of someone playing with a young child,
04:32handing them various toys and stuffed animals.
04:34We don't know who this child is,
04:36where this video was taken,
04:37the connection to Epstein,
04:39but obviously really concerning.
04:41And remember, before he died,
04:42he was facing federal sex trafficking of minors' charges.
04:46There's also around 14 hours of footage in all,
04:49and much of it is made up of short snippets of video.
04:52There's almost zero context provided
04:54for where the videos came from,
04:56who they show,
04:57why Epstein might have kept them,
04:58whether or not they were gonna be pivotal
05:00in his criminal trial.
05:01I tell you this,
05:02there's a clip of someone filming a woman receiving a massage,
05:04and pretty disturbing when you consider that
05:06Epstein and his partner, Ghislaine Maxwell,
05:08they were accused of luring teen girls to his home
05:10with the promise of money in exchange for a massage.
05:13That was the grooming tactic, right?
05:14That's what led to the abuse.
05:16That's what led to the escalation.
05:17There's footage of someone taking a bubble bath.
05:20There's dozens of videos,
05:21apparently sent from women and girls to Epstein,
05:23showing them in various states of undress.
05:26And there are videos
05:27that are apparently sent to Epstein or his staff.
05:30Getting all the flavors of all the jellies.
05:32Already got four bags,
05:34but she thought it wouldn't be enough.
05:36So she's getting some more.
05:38She's very serious about it.
05:49And it seems glaringly obvious in some of the files
05:56that these females are pretty young.
06:12In another creepy section of the files,
06:14we can see a kind of grainy,
06:16black-and-white image of an office,
06:18which appears to have been taken
06:19from a security camera of some kind.
06:21And, you know, there have been
06:22a lot of differing information
06:24about surveillance in Epstein's homes.
06:25You have photos that were taken
06:26inside his Manhattan townhouse
06:28by law enforcement after his 2019 arrests
06:31that show at least two cameras near the ceiling.
06:34So one in a bedroom and one in a hallway,
06:36as well as some sort of base of operations.
06:39And there's a sign on the door
06:41that says 24-hour video surveillance.
06:43Now, the thing about that is,
06:44in these files, in this Epstein release,
06:46there was a 2014 email sent by Epstein
06:49that says,
06:49let's get three motion-detected hidden cameras
06:52that record, thanks.
06:53And there's long been speculation
06:55that Epstein was filming
06:56basically everything all the time
06:58in order to use the videos
06:59to blackmail the world's elite.
07:00That was a common allegation,
07:02a common theory.
07:03But in an email included in the files,
07:06there was an agent who sent the following
07:08to then-FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino,
07:11and it says, quote,
07:12during the searches of Epstein's New York residents
07:14and USVI residents in 2019,
07:16the FBI searched for videos
07:18and surveillance cameras.
07:19My understanding from the case agent
07:21is that there were no cameras found
07:23inside any bedrooms or living areas
07:24of either residence.
07:25I understand that surveillance cameras
07:27were located near the entrances
07:29of the residences.
07:30So if that's true, okay, that's strange.
07:33But also, did something change?
07:34I don't know, you know.
07:36Is it always the case
07:37that there wasn't something there
07:38or why they couldn't find it?
07:39I don't know.
07:39It's just interesting, to say the least.
07:41But next, I mentioned hearing
07:42from Epstein himself, right?
07:43So a big part of this is a long interview
07:46that was conducted by Steve Bannon,
07:49former White House chief strategist.
07:51And according to the files,
07:53there was this idea, seemingly,
07:55to try to rehabilitate Epstein's image
07:57by producing a documentary about him.
08:00It's unclear why Bannon
08:01would have wanted to do this.
08:02But remember, this is after Epstein pleaded guilty
08:04to Florida state charges
08:06of solicitation of prostitution of a minor.
08:09And I mean, the files,
08:10they show a lot of communication
08:11between the two, text, emails,
08:13several photos of the two of them together,
08:15really looking at that 2018-2019 timeframe.
08:17I mean, I'll give you an idea.
08:19Epstein sent in one message to Bannon,
08:21I don't like texting.
08:22To which Bannon replied,
08:23got it.
08:24February 2019,
08:26before Epstein was federally indicted,
08:28Epstein wrote to Bannon,
08:29do you think I can do my own video interview
08:31and upload it on YouTube?
08:32Woody said he would help edit,
08:34not sure how to stage,
08:35what points to make,
08:36but better than trying to do an interview
08:37that I have no experience doing.
08:39Goal to humanize the monster.
08:42I will note here,
08:43it's believed he's talking about Woody Allen
08:44and the text that Epstein sent to Bannon
08:47just before this exchange reads,
08:49dinner with Woody
08:50or too many pedos in one place.
08:53Yikes, to say the least.
08:55And Bannon, by the way,
08:56also laid out this plan,
08:57quote,
08:57first we need to push back on the lies,
08:59then crush the pedo trafficking narrative,
09:02then rebuild your image as philanthropist.
09:05To be clear,
09:06Bannon hasn't been accused of a crime.
09:07He's been very vocal
09:08about wanting the files to be made public.
09:10And even though the documentary
09:12was never produced,
09:13we have this footage, okay?
09:14You get this footage
09:15where Bannon is interviewing Epstein.
09:17It kind of gives you a window
09:18into this guy
09:19that you never saw before
09:20because, again,
09:21we don't really have that much
09:22of him even speaking,
09:23but take a look.
09:23How did a schmuck like you
09:25get on the board of Rockefeller?
09:26What year was that?
09:28I don't remember.
09:29Late, I think, 89 or 91.
09:30So that's one of the most prestigious
09:32research places in the world, correct?
09:34Yes.
09:35Okay, how did a guy like you
09:36get on the board of Rockefeller?
09:38A blue-blood,
09:39internationally known,
09:41internationally known,
09:42hard research,
09:44Nobel Prize winners
09:45all over the place.
09:46How did they pick
09:48a guy like you,
09:49a trader from,
09:50or basically some guy
09:51from Bear Stearns?
09:53Good question.
09:54So I was asked
09:55to be on the board
09:56of Rockefeller.
09:57Yeah, the interview
09:58primarily focuses
09:58on Epstein's reputation
10:00as this apparent
10:01financial genius,
10:02someone who was
10:03practically clairvoyant
10:04when it came to markets
10:05around the world.
10:06And to give you
10:06kind of context here,
10:07when Epstein was arrested
10:08for soliciting a minor
10:10for prostitution
10:11out in Palm Beach
10:12in Florida,
10:13this is, again,
10:13he made that deal in 2008.
10:15The United States
10:15was dealing with
10:16a huge financial crisis
10:17at the time, remember?
10:18And so when Bannon
10:19asked Epstein
10:20about his knowledge
10:21of what was happening
10:21behind the scenes
10:22at some of the country's
10:23largest investment firms,
10:25Epstein also talked about
10:26his time behind bars.
10:27How did you hear about
10:29what was going to happen
10:30to Lehman Brothers
10:31and what did you
10:31immediately think
10:32when you heard
10:33there was going to be
10:33put into bankruptcy?
10:36I'm glad you asked
10:37that question.
10:38I was in solitary confinement
10:43September 14th.
10:45And, again,
10:46some of the public stories
10:48about the wonderful time
10:50I had in jail
10:51and my work release,
10:53which didn't come
10:53until months after,
10:55I'd been there since June
10:56in an 8x10 cell
10:58with a bed in the back,
11:01a six-foot bed in the back,
11:04a chrome sink
11:06with a toilet attached to it,
11:08and a little piece of metal
11:10sticking out
11:10that was supposed
11:11to act as a table.
11:12Now, since I was in jail,
11:14there were no books.
11:16Why?
11:17There's no library.
11:18No library,
11:19but you're in jail.
11:20No, I was in jail,
11:22not prison.
11:23So in jail,
11:24I was in a place
11:25that was called
11:25the Special Housing Unit,
11:27which is for the roughest,
11:29toughest, meanest people.
11:31They had put me there,
11:32they said,
11:33for my own protection.
11:36So I was in an 8x10 cell
11:38with a little slit in the door
11:40where they would serve my food
11:41on a tray
11:43about nine inches by four inches.
11:47And then as soon as
11:48I finished eating,
11:49they'd take the tray
11:49and close it down.
11:51And one of the guards said,
11:54do you understand
11:55there's Wall Street's crashing?
11:57I'm worried about my pension fund.
12:00What should I do?
12:02And I said,
12:03sorry, Wall Street's crashing?
12:05What's happened?
12:06And he said,
12:07there's some crisis
12:08and some companies
12:10are going bankrupt.
12:12I said,
12:13are you sure?
12:14And he said,
12:15yeah,
12:15it's all over the papers.
12:16Everybody's,
12:17we're all terrified
12:17we're going to lose
12:18our life savings
12:19because we have either
12:20a 401k
12:21or our pension funds.
12:22We don't know anything
12:23about money.
12:23Mr. Epstein,
12:24can you tell us
12:25like what's going on?
12:27Am I going to,
12:27am I going to be able
12:28to afford my children's education?
12:30Am I going to be bankrupt?
12:31Like this company
12:32called Lehman Brothers.
12:34And there's another company
12:35in the front page today
12:38called Bear Stearns.
12:41Oh no,
12:42I said.
12:44Why?
12:45Because that's the company
12:47I was a partner in.
12:49And in fact,
12:50that was a company
12:50I had a very large investment in.
12:53So,
12:54as a great story,
12:57I didn't have my
12:58Wall Street Journal,
12:59but in the early mornings,
13:02you're allowed to make
13:03two phone calls,
13:04collect,
13:06and when you pick up the phone,
13:09you can dial a number
13:10and when the person picks up,
13:12they say,
13:13you're getting a call
13:14from the Palm Beach County Jail.
13:16Will you accept reverse charges?
13:19And the person either says yes
13:21and the call goes through
13:23or the person says no.
13:25The person I called
13:26was Jimmy Cain,
13:28the president of Bear Stearns.
13:31And I said,
13:32tell me what's going on.
13:34And so that,
13:35my knowledge of the financial crisis
13:37happened with Jimmy,
13:38who's at the center of the storm,
13:40telling me about
13:42what Lehman had gone under
13:43and they were trying
13:46to figure out a way,
13:47should they bail out Bear Stearns?
13:49The question you want to ask is,
13:51who was the other call to?
13:54Who was the other call to?
13:55The other call was to my friend
13:56at J.P. Morgan,
13:58who was then,
13:59I didn't know at the time,
14:00trying to buy Bear Stearns.
14:02So at one point,
14:03I had two phones.
14:05It was difficult
14:05because they're afraid
14:07people are going to hang themselves
14:08with the phone cord
14:09so they don't actually come together
14:11when they're pretty short.
14:12So I was actually going
14:13between two phones
14:14talking to Bear Stearns
14:15and J.P. Morgan
14:16at the same time.
14:17So I found it amusing.
14:19And it never struck you
14:20about how to end up
14:21in a situation like this?
14:22No, that would be,
14:23probably means
14:24I would be too self-aware.
14:27You can't possibly expect me
14:28to believe this.
14:29I know.
14:30I don't believe it.
14:33You're telling me
14:34that during that day,
14:36you never had a moment.
14:37You sat there and go,
14:39what the f***
14:40have I done with my life
14:41that I'm in a 6x9 jail cell
14:43when I should be
14:45on a trading desk
14:45or I should be
14:46in my $250 million
14:50greatest townhouse
14:51in New York City
14:52taking calls
14:53from the king
14:54of Saudi Arabia,
14:55the president of China,
14:57the head of Russia,
14:58the president of the United States
14:59to save the world's population
15:03from a financial debacle.
15:05You honestly expect me
15:06to believe
15:06that that never happened.
15:07You're suggesting
15:08I was somewhat depressed
15:10and how could this happen to me?
15:12I'm not saying depressed.
15:13I'm saying a moment
15:14of awareness
15:15of how could I get myself
15:16into this situation.
15:17No, I would just say
15:18how strange
15:19that this happens.
15:20It's strange.
15:22I'm wearing a jumpsuit
15:24and flip-flops
15:26What color was a jumpsuit?
15:27Brown.
15:29Brown.
15:30Brown jumpsuit.
15:31Yes.
15:32I notice I don't see you
15:33in a lot of brown.
15:34No.
15:35Brown jumpsuit
15:36and flip-flops.
15:37Flip-flops, yes.
15:37With no access to books,
15:39no access to newspapers,
15:40No access to anything.
15:42You had lived on information.
15:43Except my Almond Joy bars.
15:44I had extra Almond Joy bars.
15:46Did you eat Almond Joy bars
15:49and things like that
15:49because you were afraid
15:50of what the cooks
15:51did to your food?
15:52Yes.
15:54Is that because
15:56that you were in
15:57for the crimes
15:58that you were in for?
15:59No.
16:00It was just because
16:00in fact...
16:01It was because you're wealthy?
16:02Yes.
16:03How did you know that?
16:06Well, people would constantly...
16:08If I was passing by
16:10or I'd have to go
16:11for my medical,
16:12people would either
16:13ask to borrow money
16:13or make some other
16:14types of comments about...
16:16In the beginning...
16:17What were the comments?
16:18At the beginning,
16:19what were the comments?
16:20It serves you
16:21f***ing rich guys
16:23right that you're here
16:24next to me.
16:25There was nothing
16:25about your crimes?
16:27No.
16:28So, all this rumor
16:30you hear all the time
16:32about people in prison
16:33that commit the type
16:34of crimes you commit,
16:35that you're saying
16:36in your personal thing
16:38is not true?
16:39No.
16:40It was all because
16:40you were rich?
16:41Yes.
16:42And it was all because
16:43they wanted to borrow money?
16:44Well, get advice.
16:47Yes.
16:47They get advice
16:48to go long,
16:50to go long...
16:51Yes, sure.
16:51You're telling me...
16:52Is this time to buy?
16:52You're telling me
16:53in solitary confinement
16:54they were interested
16:55in going long?
16:57Yeah.
16:58They wanted to know...
16:59What does that say
17:00about human nature?
17:02Well, I think
17:03that people find...
17:04One of the reasons
17:04they wanted to keep me
17:05in solitary confinement
17:06was they were afraid
17:07that everybody would want
17:08to know which stocks to buy.
17:09Yeah, that's right.
17:10Epstein claims
17:11that those guards
17:11were asking him
17:13for financial advice.
17:14Now, at one point
17:15during the interview,
17:16Epstein apparently
17:16took a break
17:17to freshen up his wardrobe.
17:19When did you first start
17:21to get nervous
17:22understanding Bill Clinton
17:24and all this?
17:25Did you change glasses?
17:26Yes.
17:26Okay.
17:27I changed shirt.
17:28I saw that black.
17:31Are you okay with the...
17:33Yeah, great.
17:33We're going to have
17:34all kinds of changes.
17:35I'm experimenting.
17:36Okay.
17:39When did you get a feeling?
17:40Did you ever anticipate
17:43before it happened
17:44something like 2008
17:45could happen?
17:46No.
17:47Bannon keeps coming back
17:48to the fact that Epstein,
17:49for all of his apparent knowledge
17:51of how the world works,
17:52he ended up in prison.
17:53Although I will say
17:54that his attorneys
17:55worked out what's been called
17:56that sweetheart deal
17:57with the then-U.S. attorney
17:59in Miami,
17:59Alexander Acosta,
18:00which ended with Epstein
18:01avoiding serious federal charges,
18:04getting kind of a light sentence
18:05for the state charges.
18:06And throughout the interview,
18:08Bannon seems to kind of
18:09needle Epstein,
18:10referring to things like
18:11the Me Too movement
18:13and asking at one point,
18:14this was big,
18:15whether Epstein
18:16is the devil himself.
18:18When you say
18:19ownership in the system,
18:21it doesn't mean...
18:22Let's start over.
18:23Okay, yeah.
18:23Flip over your phone, too,
18:25because I don't want
18:26anyone to see
18:26on your phone.
18:28So maybe flip it down
18:29or something.
18:29Yeah, yeah.
18:31Yeah, who knows
18:31what the f*** comes over
18:32that phone.
18:32That's correct.
18:33Which one has sent you?
18:34KSA.
18:35I can't even get...
18:36I can't not believe
18:37I've got the magic moment
18:38when you're in a f***ing prison
18:39or jail,
18:40wherever the f*** it is
18:41in solitary.
18:41Now, there's a funny part
18:42that we missed,
18:43which is...
18:43Oh, go ahead.
18:44Tell it.
18:44The funny part is...
18:45You asked me...
18:46Is there anything
18:47funnier than that?
18:48No, no.
18:48For black humor, it's...
18:50I don't make any
18:51black comments.
18:52Sorry.
18:54You asked me
18:54what I was wearing.
18:55That's right.
18:56You're too wrapped up
18:56in the Me Too movement.
18:58Yes.
18:58Just ask a question.
18:59Is your money
18:59dirty money?
19:00No, it's not.
19:01So, in fact...
19:03Why is it not
19:03dirty money?
19:05Because I earned it.
19:07My heart...
19:07But you earned it...
19:09I earned it legally.
19:10We went back to this
19:11before.
19:11You earned it...
19:14Advising the worst
19:15people in the world
19:17that do enormous
19:19bad things
19:21and just to make
19:21more money.
19:23So,
19:24instead of asking me
19:25the question,
19:26should you take the money?
19:27Because I think
19:28it's a legitimate question.
19:29You think it's a legitimate question?
19:30Yes.
19:30Why?
19:31Because what I...
19:32Because I think about...
19:33I think you have to...
19:35Ethics is always a complicated subject.
19:36But I can tell you that
19:38with the money I gave
19:39to help try to eradicate polio
19:43in Pakistan and India,
19:45instead of asking me
19:47whether that money was...
19:49should be given to these children
19:50for vaccines,
19:52I think you might want to ask
19:53their mothers
19:54who received the vaccine
19:56who know their child
19:58now won't get polio
19:59and ask them
20:00if Epstein should have
20:02helped these people
20:03with their money.
20:05If we walked in...
20:06Is that a fair question?
20:08You're a mathematician.
20:09We walked into that clinic
20:11where they're giving
20:11that money out
20:12to these people
20:13that are in the most dire
20:14straits of poverty
20:15and sickness
20:17and told them
20:18that the money
20:19was coming from a...
20:20What are you?
20:20Class 3 sexual predator?
20:22Tier 1.
20:23Was tier 1
20:24the highest and worst?
20:25No.
20:26I'm the lowest.
20:27You're the lowest.
20:28Tier 1,
20:28you're the lowest.
20:30But a criminal.
20:31Yes.
20:32That the money came from them.
20:33What percentage of people
20:34do you estimate?
20:35I understand
20:36you don't like probabilities.
20:37Do you estimate
20:38would say
20:38I don't care
20:39I want the money
20:40for my children?
20:41I would say
20:41everyone said
20:42I want the money
20:43for my children.
20:43Did they know
20:44where the money came from?
20:45I think if you told them
20:46I told them the devil
20:48100%
20:48the devil
20:49himself
20:49the devil himself said
20:51I'm going to exchange
20:51some dollars
20:52for your child's life.
20:54Do you think
20:55you're the devil himself?
20:57No, but I do have
20:59a good mirror.
21:00It's a serious question.
21:02I'm sorry.
21:02Do you think
21:03you're the devil himself?
21:04I don't know.
21:05Why would you say that?
21:06Because you have
21:07all the attributes.
21:07You're incredibly smart.
21:09You remember
21:09the devil
21:10is somebody
21:10who knows
21:10the devil's
21:12brilliant.
21:12You read Milton's
21:14Paradise Lost.
21:15No, the devil scares me.
21:17Satan is
21:18the
21:21he is
21:22at the
21:23number one
21:24or two
21:24archangel.
21:25And the reason
21:27he goes to hell
21:29and leads the rebellion
21:30is because
21:31he can't be the top guy.
21:32And his thing is
21:33I'd rather
21:34reign in hell
21:35than serve in heaven.
21:36I saw that
21:37in a movie once
21:38called
21:38The American Dharma.
21:39I don't remember
21:40who said it.
21:41Okay?
21:42We have to go.
21:43Okay, good.
21:44Now there's one more thing
21:45that I want to talk about
21:46before we wrap things up here.
21:48And included in the release
21:49were portions
21:50of a
21:51Ghislaine Maxwell
21:52deposition
21:53as well as footage
21:54of apparent victims
21:56being interviewed
21:56by Palm Beach
21:57police detectives
21:58back in the early 2000s.
21:59Now,
22:00it's unclear
22:01if these clips
22:01were in Epstein's possession
22:02for some reason
22:03or if they were just
22:04connected to the investigation
22:05with the investigatory materials
22:07that the DOJ had.
22:08So, you know,
22:09it's unclear.
22:10And by the way,
22:10it's also unclear
22:11why only parts
22:12of Maxwell's deposition
22:14were released.
22:14And by the way,
22:15that was a deposition
22:16that she did
22:17with regards
22:17to a lawsuit
22:18that renowned
22:20Epstein accuser,
22:21Maxwell accuser,
22:22Virginia Giuffre
22:23had filed.
22:23So that's why
22:24you see this deposition
22:24in 2016.
22:25Now, back to those
22:26police interviews.
22:27We actually talked
22:27about these interviews
22:28here on Sidebar
22:29before we did
22:30an episode on it.
22:30This is when
22:31multiple alleged victims
22:32told investigators
22:33about the promise
22:34of money
22:34if they came
22:35to Epstein's
22:36sprawling home,
22:37gave him a massage.
22:38Take a listen.
22:39She told me
22:40about this guy
22:40I was short on rent
22:41one month
22:42and she told me
22:43that all I had to do
22:44was give him a massage
22:44and he would give me $200.
22:47And that's pretty much it.
22:49And I thought about it.
22:50I was like,
22:51I really need the money.
22:52I've asked my parents.
22:53They can't give me the money.
22:54I asked everyone I knew.
22:55And I went there with her.
22:57I gave him a massage
22:58and it was a weird situation.
23:01Have you had any formal
23:02massage training?
23:03No.
23:04Did you provide the massage
23:05with clothing on?
23:07All I had was underwear on.
23:08Okay.
23:09Did she tell you
23:11that you would have to
23:12provide the massage
23:13with just underwear?
23:15No.
23:16Did anything else happen?
23:19I'm sorry.
23:20I don't like thinking
23:21back on you, so...
23:24Okay.
23:24First watch.
23:25I know this is hard on you.
23:26Okay?
23:27I know that you put this
23:28behind you.
23:29A lot of people
23:30that I've talked to have.
23:31Okay?
23:32You're not the only person
23:33that he's done this to.
23:35Okay.
23:35And he just got up
23:37and walked out.
23:38He's like,
23:39okay, you can put your clothes on
23:40and you close the door.
23:41And you were paid how much?
23:42Um, $200.
23:44He asked me for my phone number
23:45just in case
23:46he wanted to call me
23:47and come back.
23:48And they called me
23:49and I never called him back.
23:50But in stark contrast,
23:52when Ghislaine Maxwell
23:53was deposed
23:54in April of 2016
23:56pursuant to this lawsuit,
23:57she kind of like
23:58feigned surprise
23:59that any such accusations
24:01were being made.
24:01Can you list for me
24:03all the girls
24:04that you have met
24:06and brought
24:07to Jeffrey Epstein's house
24:09that were under
24:10the age of 18?
24:11Declan.
24:11Declan Foundation.
24:12Um,
24:14I could only
24:14recall my family members
24:17that were there
24:17and I could not
24:18make a list
24:19of anyone else
24:19because that list
24:20never happened.
24:22But I can take off.
24:23I'm talking about
24:24during the time
24:24that you were working
24:25for Jeffrey Epstein.
24:26Right.
24:27Can you list
24:28all the girls
24:28that you found
24:30for Jeffrey Epstein
24:31that were under
24:31the age of 18
24:32to come work
24:33for him in any capacity?
24:34Declan.
24:35So I didn't find
24:36girls.
24:37I didn't get to girls.
24:38You choose the word.
24:39No, you don't choose the word.
24:41If you have a question,
24:42ask it.
24:44List all of the girls
24:45that you met
24:46and brought
24:47to Jeffrey Epstein's home
24:49for the purposes
24:49of employment
24:50that were under
24:50the age of 18.
24:51Declan.
24:52Declan.
24:52Declan.
24:52Declan.
24:53I've already characterized
24:54what my job was
24:55which was to find people
24:56adults,
24:57professional people
24:58to do the types
24:59of jobs
24:59that I listed before.
25:02Pool person,
25:04secretary,
25:05house person,
25:06chef,
25:07pilot,
25:08But I've talked about
25:09individuals under
25:10the age of 18,
25:11not adult persons.
25:12Individuals under
25:13the age of 18.
25:14I only hire
25:16and look for people
25:17or try to find people
25:18to fill professional jobs
25:19and professional situations.
25:22Under the age of 18.
25:24Right.
25:24But I think
25:26we've established
25:27that she was 17
25:29and she was suits.
25:30I'm sorry,
25:30go ahead.
25:31Is she the only
25:33individual
25:33that you met
25:35for purposes
25:36of hiring someone
25:36for Jeffrey
25:37that was under
25:37the age of 18?
25:38Did the form
25:39and foundation
25:40mischaracterize
25:41their testimony.
25:41So I didn't hire
25:43people.
25:43I met people
25:44who were hiring us.
25:45Yes, you did.
25:45I said that.
25:46Yes.
25:47So I interviewed
25:49people for jobs
25:50that were professional
25:51people for professional
25:52things and I'm not
25:53aware of anyone
25:55aside from
25:56who clearly
25:58was a masseuse
25:59aged 17
26:00but that's
26:01you know
26:04at least that's
26:05how far we know
26:06that I can think
26:07of that
26:07fulfilled any
26:08professional capacity
26:10for Jeffrey.
26:11List all the people
26:13under the age of 18
26:14that you interacted
26:15with at any
26:16of Jeffrey's properties.
26:19I'm not aware
26:20of anybody
26:21that I interacted
26:22with.
26:26Other than
26:27I was 17
26:29at this point.
26:30I had
26:30not any idea
26:33exactly
26:33of the
26:34youngest
26:34adult employee
26:36that I hired
26:37for Jeffrey.
26:38When you say
26:38adult employee
26:39did you ever
26:40hire someone
26:41that was under
26:41the age of 18?
26:43Never.
26:44Did you ever
26:46bring someone
26:47who was under
26:48or invite someone
26:49who was under
26:49the age of 18
26:50to Jeffrey's home?
26:51Any of those homes?
26:52Objective to the
26:52Foreman Foundation.
26:54You can answer.
26:55Can you repeat
26:56the question?
26:56Yes.
26:56Did you ever
26:57invite anybody
26:58under the age of 18
27:00to Jeffrey's homes?
27:01Same objection.
27:04I have a number
27:05of friends
27:05that have children
27:07and friends
27:08of mine
27:08who have kids
27:09and in the
27:10invitation of my
27:11friends and their
27:12kids I'm sure
27:13that I will have
27:15invited some of my
27:16friends' kids
27:17to come
27:17if that's what
27:18you're referring to.
27:18Anybody that is
27:19not a friend of yours
27:20any female
27:22under the age
27:22of 18
27:24did you invite
27:25them to come
27:25to Jeffrey's home?
27:26Objective to the
27:27Foreman Foundation.
27:28I mean I
27:29again as I said
27:30I'm not aware
27:31of having invited
27:32anybody
27:32other than
27:33friends of mine
27:34who have children
27:35to the house.
27:36Did you
27:37invite
27:38to come
27:39to Jeffrey Epstein's
27:40home when she
27:41was under
27:41the age of 18?
27:42Maxell when did
27:43you
27:44check to the
27:45Foreman Foundation.
27:48You can answer.
27:49I have no idea
27:50when I met her.
27:52Do you know
27:52how old she was
27:53when you met her?
27:55I have no idea
27:55how old she was
27:56when I met her.
27:57Is it possible
27:57that she was 13
27:58years old when
27:58you first met her?
27:59Objective to the
28:00Foreman Foundation.
28:01First of all
28:03the mother
28:05was Jeffrey's
