00:00Tonight, we're putting eight celebrities under pressure they haven't faced since
00:06their exams. I'm just old but I'm not first one out. Who am I kidding? This lot
00:11definitely didn't do exams. This is The Weakest Link.
00:24Behind me are eight celebrities who are each trying to win up to 50,000 pounds
00:28for charity but to do that they'll have to work together. Seven will leave with
00:33nothing as round by round we lose the player voted The Weakest Link. It's a
00:37great idea for a quiz show format isn't it? Might just take off. Let's meet the team.
00:41I'm Harriet, a comedian from Kent. I'm John, professional footballer from Swansea.
00:53I'm Hilary. I'm an actress and podcaster from London. I'm Alex, a presenter from Kent.

01:11I'm Anna, a chef restaurateur from Tala in Ireland. I'm Gareth, a musician from London.
01:20Incredible set of intros, guys. Loved it. You smashed it out of the park. Really good. Name,
01:29where you're from. So good. Can we go now? No. That was the hard bit. Here come the rules.
01:38In each round, the aim is to answer enough questions correctly to reach your target within
01:42the time limit. The target for round one is £2,500. Fastest way to get there is to work together to
01:49create a chain of eight correct answers. Get your question wrong, you break the chain and you lose
01:54all of the money in that chain. But if you press your button and say bank before the question is
01:59asked, the money is safe and you begin a new chain from scratch. You've got two minutes and 30 seconds
02:06for this first round. We'll start with the person most likely to say you're welcome when someone
02:11doesn't say thank you. That's you, Alex Brooker. Let's play The Weakest Link. Start the clock.

05:48I do think Wimbledon will be more fun with oval-shaped balls. Voting's over.

06:01Luca. Pink Pantheress. Luca.
06:08Garf.
06:11John.

06:16John.
06:19John.
06:24So, a good solid first round. Um, Anna, how are you enjoying it so far?
06:28I was really enjoying the questions and it was all fun and then at the end we had to vote and
06:32all of a sudden you sucked the fun out of it, so. Oh, well, that's not me, that's the format.
06:36Well, I'm going to blame you, you're the face of it. Yeah, no, you're right, I am the face of it, yeah.
06:40Why did you vote for John? I was trying to remember mistakes that other people had made and I'm
06:45really sorry, John, I just remembered the PlayStation question. It's all right, don't worry.
06:48It's okay. I'll be honest with you, he's saying it's okay but it doesn't feel like it is. No.
06:51Luca, why did you vote for the legend, John Hartford?
06:55Played for Arsenal, if you got all of them right, I'd vote for you.
06:58You might feel like I'm picking on you and I am and the reason is, is because you've written
07:02coys on your vote. Yeah. Now, once a series I'm allowed to just get rid of somebody randomly.
07:08Okay. Luca, I'm sorry to, I've just, I actually didn't know then, I was like, I haven't watched
07:14that many. I'm only joking. I really regret my choice. Why? Um, because I was going to vote
07:22out Luca and then I thought everyone was going to, so I felt a bit bad for him.
07:26Aww. But I didn't know he was a Spurs fan and I cannot tell you how much, no matter if he gets
07:31every single one of them right next month, I'm voting him out. Okay. Game on.
07:34Okay. Well, here we go. This has put a lot of pressure on me.
07:37She's coming with the hardest questions, you're buying me out anyway.
07:42Gareth. Yes. Great British Bake Off.
07:44Do you know what? I was so overwhelmed by your new hair that I stopped listening and then I just...
07:49It's happened across the series. I mean, genuinely, I was thinking,
07:52isn't your hair nice. Thank you.
07:55You also voted for John. John, I think, got the first wrong answer, so.
07:58Er, John, how are you feeling about how this has gone?
08:00Er, not great. I just wanted to, er, not be the first off, to be honest with you,
08:05but not sounding bitter, but some people got two wrong and I got one wrong,
08:09so I don't know why that worked out. I got voted.
08:12Listen, I don't agree with it. I think it's disgusting what's happened to you today.
08:16I want to be absolutely crystal clear on this. I think it's an outrage.
08:18John, I'm devastated to say that with four votes, you are the weakest link. Goodbye.
08:30I don't think anybody really wants to go out in the first round, but in all fairness,
08:36I wasn't the weakest link, so I've still got that to hold on to.
08:45Round two. So far, you have banked £900 out of a possible £2,500.
08:50Seven players are left and we are taking ten seconds off the clock.

11:36Well, it's not quite disastrous, but it wasn't as good. I mean, you're going in the wrong direction.

13:01That's so rude.
13:05It's so rude to bring that up.
13:09But sometimes it takes a minute to work out what the question is.
13:12Got you.
13:13And so you're just... I have a bit of a delay sometimes.
13:15Sure, sure.
13:16You're finding this quite stressful.
13:17I'm just trying my best and we don't need negative comments.
13:20No.
13:21Well, I do for the edit, but...
13:22Right.
13:24Why did you vote for Luca?

14:28That's for Alex.
14:29Yeah.

19:15And he said, why would she come on a show with you?
19:18No, that's so... Come on.
19:20So, that's something for me to deal with.
19:24Meal deal, you seem very excited to answer that question correctly.
19:26Yeah, because that was just... That's everything to me.
19:29Right.
19:30Why did you vote for Alex?
19:31OMG.
19:32The only reason is because you're next to me.
19:35And so, it's like, you know what I mean?
19:36I remembered the Wren thing.
19:38Yeah.
19:39What is the drawing you've done?

19:47It's got nothing to do with you.
19:49I honestly thought you'd draw on Alex.
19:51No, no, no, no, you don't look like this.
19:52Sorry.
19:53You didn't have enough room for a massive head.
19:57You don't look like this, I swear.
19:58It's meant to be Homer Simpson.
20:00Hillary, how much of a quizzer are you?

20:09Um, banked on nothing, but, you know, it's better to be safe than sorry.
20:12Absolutely.
20:12That's why I didn't vote for Alex, actually, because he banked a big amount, didn't he, last time?
20:16There you go.
20:17So I forgave him.
20:18Doesn't mean anything in this game, apparently.
20:22Um, Alex.
20:23Yeah.
20:24Knowing you as I do, I suspect that you're angry about this.
20:27No, no, I'm a bit like, things are the first time I've got any wrong.
20:32Yes, but sometimes it goes against you.
20:33Yeah, sometimes it does.
20:34And also, to be honest with you, if, like, Kirkley's council see me stood up for much longer tonight,
20:39anyway, I'd have lost my blue badge, so it's probably better I'm going now.
20:42I'm actually still keeping something.
20:45Yeah, no, I get it, I get it.
20:46Um, Alex, I'm sorry to say that with three votes, you are the weakest link.
20:52Goodbye.
20:53Goodbye, everyone.
20:55Bye, everyone.
20:56Bye.
20:56Bye, Alex.
20:57See you later.
20:58Bye, Ramesh.
20:58Bye.
20:59Bye, Alex.
20:59Cheers, man.
21:00I think I've got some real tough ones in that round.
21:03It's like Pink Pantherist has got a question about a meal deal and girl guides, and I was like,
21:06God, if I'm one out of that, I'd have absolutely had a touch there.
21:10I'd have still been in.
21:11Round four, so far you have banked £2,350 out of a potential prize money of £10,000.
21:25There are just five of you left, and we are taking another 10 seconds off the clock.
21:30So you now have two minutes to bank a possible £5,000.
21:34We're going to start with the strongest link from the last round.
21:36That's you, Pink Pantherist.
21:38Let's play The Weakest Link.
21:40Start the clock.
21:43In R&B music released in 2000, the first UK top ten single by Cisco has what title?
