00:00And Venus picks up the points after a dramatic finish at Highfield Road today.
00:05A first half goal from Mathieu Letizier put Southampton on course for their first away win of the season,
00:11but Coventry equalised in the final minute through Dion Dublin.
00:16With two teams in the bottom three and desperate for points, this had the makings of a scrappy affair.
00:21The Coventry keeper, Steve Agrizovic, even attempting a touch of farce.
00:25His defence didn't help matters, but for Southampton to capitalise on this particular comedy of errors,
00:30he was going to take something special.
00:41Hit from 32 yards, his curling shot left Agrizovic agogged, his sixth of the season.
00:48The Coventry boss, Ron Atkinson, is still waiting for some of his big signings to start the repayments.
00:54Noel Whelan, with only one goal this term, hit a thunderous shot that surprised Neil Moss.
00:59Such was the ferocity that Moss didn't have time to raise his arm as it ricocheted off his body.
01:04Soon after that, they were again bombarding the Saints' defence,
01:07but this time Leon Day saw his header blocked off the line by Steve Charlton.
01:12It was the same again in the second half.
01:14One-way traffic as Kevin Richardson from over 20 yards,
01:18but again 21-year-old Neil Moss was earning his money, no doubt hoping for a win bonus.
01:23Coventry had other ideas and made the chances, but just couldn't cash in.
01:28Substitute Dion Dublin, still looking for a goal in 1996, headed over.
01:33But perhaps the best chance of the match fell to Peter Unlove,
01:36another substitute making his first appearance of the season after a knee operation,
01:40and his lack of match practice proved decisive as Moss got a hand to it.
01:44And Big Ron could only throw his hands into the air.
01:48So, into injury time and a desperate Southampton side 60 seconds from their first away win of the season.
01:55But Coventry weren't finished yet, and it ended in pure delight for Dion Dublin.
02:00No-win bonus for Neil Moss, and a great deal of relief for Ron Atkinson.
02:06So that's how the bottom of the table looks.
02:08Coventry stays second from bottom with Southampton level on points one place above them.
