00:02Hello, join us as we go live to Venezuela. There is a massive demonstration that of the youth of the
00:09nation in the National Day of the Youth. A demonstration as well and a day that marks the 212th anniversary
00:16of the Battle of the Victory.
00:18At this moment, the Minister of Interior Justice and Peace, Diosdava Cabello, is offering statements. Let's listen. Our president is
00:27kidnapped. When we have a people that was attacked with over 100 dead, this youth of today is saying, present,
00:36they do not surrender. We are here accompanying them, accompanying and thanking life that allows us to be here with
00:46them, to keep accompanying them in their bodies.
00:48This homeland belongs to them. Commander Chavez, President Maduro, they did not make a mistake. They are going to be
00:56the ones that are going to be portraying the flags. It is important to highlight, Cabrera, that all of these
01:01policies that have been oriented in 27 years of the Bolivian Revolution, a project that have taken the fight with
01:08Venezuelan Jews, the student sector that have given to them the participatory democracy that for over 40 years of the
01:17Fourth Republic, it was denied to them.
01:18Today we can see how these youths. Today we can see how these youths are here present from the ministry,
01:23doing political life, doing a life from the territories, achieving projects for the youths. Also, it is one of the
01:32most important things that the Bolivian Revolution has done, recognizing them the rights of the peoples, of the indigenous peoples,
01:40for women, for Afro-descendants,
01:42the youths. The youths that had no right even to study. They said that this speech has changed. Then it
01:54was death letter until Commander Chavez arrived to power for a youth. For a young man to study from the
02:02interior of the nation, it was almost impossible. They had to abandon the studies because there were no university for
02:09them.
02:09Today the revolution has built up. Over 100 universities have opened the opportunity for the youth to study, not just
02:18to study, but also to keep educating themselves once they reach a degree. It is the democracy in which we
02:24believe, democracy of equals, democracy not of the elites, not of the small groups.
02:29We have seen as well. We have seen that role that the youth have from every community, from every sector
02:38throughout these months, a month that has been a huge challenge for the country.
02:45But we have seen the youth mobilized with conscience. How could you highlight the work of the youth that are
02:55organized to be maintained from these very same streets to keep rising the flags of this project that humanizes and
03:01dignifies all of the sectors?
03:03Well, imagine, well, imagine in the fourth republic, the murder, the murder of 11,300 young men and farmers and
03:16students and the killing of leaders and the calculated and planned killing of youth.
03:22If we felt pain for the killing of youth, for the killing of young leaders, Robert Serra, for example, that
03:32were murdered by the extreme right wing, imagine that you assassinate over 11,000 leaders.
03:40They knew what they were doing. They knew what they were doing. They were trying to avoid a new leadership
03:45to begin, but we are here with Commander Chavez.
03:49He is the commander of this revolution. He is the vanguard, the powerhouse that leads us.
03:55Finally, Captain, I would like for you to explain this role that the youth have in the revolution in which
04:01they are advancing for the dreams of all of the communities, of all of those youth that is also not
04:08following the path of violence,
04:10but they follow the path of construction. That's the Chavistas youth, the youth that knows where they are going and
04:20they know what they have to do.
04:22We are not going to be set in any traps. They are stupid because this youth knows what they have
04:32to do.
04:32We have no doubt that the mark will be the battle of the victory of the revolution. Those were the
04:40statements of the Ministry of the Minister of Imperial Justice and Peace.
04:46He is inside this massive demonstration that has been deployed throughout the main cities of the nation to celebrate as
04:53well the 212 years of the day of the victory.
05:00This is, at this moment, we are seeing live images. This is what is happening in Venezuela at this hour.
05:09We were live to Venezuela at this moment. We were listening to statements of the Minister of Imperial Justice and
05:15Peace and also Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela,
05:19the Hostel Cabello at this hour during the March of the Youth that is celebrating and is marking the 212th
05:26anniversary of the Battle of the Victory.
05:28That also resembles the youth, the Venezuelan youth and as the Minister said, the Chavista youth that is paving the
05:36way for the future of the country.
05:38This is all for the moment. Stay tuned with Telesur English for more information.
