00:00Do you get the feeling from him that he is confident in you to deliver the vision that he outlined?
00:06Absolutely.
00:08So Jim had some really positive comments for you over the break, really backing you.
00:13How do you feel when you see those type of comments?
00:16He tells me all the time.
00:39I think you can still get significant control in operations for 25%.
00:45You're still very much involved in the decision-making process at that level.
00:49You have considerable power in the boardroom.
00:53You don't have the overall say, of course, but you have a fairly substantial voice.
00:57We are very aligned, so I embrace totally the ambitions.
01:01I think it totally fits with the ambitions I have, with the ambitions I had when I came in.
01:07I see we are going in the right direction.
01:20I think it was the right time.
01:23He was given a lot of chance, a lot of opportunities.
01:26Didn't feel that he was the right person for the job.
01:29Hit and miss so far.
01:31I think to give him a new contract, spend 250 million in the summer and then sack him before November.
01:37Sort of contradicts itself.
01:50It's very good that we got to another final.
01:53But when you lose it and you look at the league position and how we played last season, it wasn't
01:58acceptable.
01:59You know, winning and then coming in 15th with the players that we have, it wasn't good enough.
02:04If the board and the fans feel that I'm not the right guy, I will go in the next day
02:09without any conversation about compensation.
02:11But I will not quit.
02:24Ineos employed a manager to do a job.
02:27He wasn't the perfect fit as a Man United manager.
02:31They knew he was changing the system.
02:32They knew he was stubborn and wanted to play that system.
02:35You know, Jim Radcliffe comes out and says, we'll give him three years.
02:37Then you've got to back him.
02:38You've got to buy the players for those positions that he wants to play.
02:41Ineos have somehow proved themselves to be even worse than the Glazers.
02:46And that is perhaps me being reactionary, considering the Glazers have been here for so long and been so bad.
02:54But purely the decision making, we were sold a dream in terms of better footballing decisions.
