00:00The new tour will also stop in Italy next summer, what fans can expect from this show?
00:05And will the setlist focus more on the new album or classical song?
00:12Well I think for this first section that we're touring I think we will celebrate the new album
00:18for sure so there's definitely going to be some new songs and you know other than that we're just
00:24going to put together the best show we can. We're working out some really cool new stage stuff so
00:27that's going to be very exciting to share with our fans and I think at a later stage probably
00:34in the next two years 2027-2028 we will progressively start focusing more on kind of a
00:40farewell you know so maybe cover a little bit of different things that we haven't played in a
00:45while and and kind of celebrate the history of the band. This album has been presented as your last
00:52studio release but does that mean a definitive farewell also to the states or will you continue
01:00performing? For now we've planned to tour for about three years roughly you know of course this could
01:06fluctuate depending on what happens but that's roughly the idea so after that honestly I don't
01:14know what's going to happen I know we were not doing any more recordings the way we did before that's
01:19the plan at least and you know and and we'll see if you know there's going to be a big
01:24break after
01:24that we're gonna we're gonna see what happens you know I think everybody's kind of gonna be happy to
01:29be home after three years of touring and and uh you know but I also always say you know you
01:35don't even
01:36know what's going to happen tomorrow so I'm not going to worry about three years from now you know like
01:40I said I really tried to live in the moment and so for me you know I'm not too worried
01:44about about
01:45what's going to happen I always have several things that I'm working on and including musical
01:50stuff my own projects etc so you know I'm just gonna I'm just gonna keep doing what I do and
01:56we'll
01:56see what happens you know and um last question looking back at more than 40 years of the band's
02:03history uh what do you think is Megadeth's most important legacy in the world of metal music
02:10well I think in the end you know the Megadeth story is the the underdog story you know it's
02:15somebody who who uh made you know lemonade out of lemons I guess you know a bad breakup that turned
02:23into having another amazing band that might not have existed if if uh Dave had stayed in his first
02:28band so I think you know that's that's a beautiful thing and and you know I kind of feel my
02:34story is
02:35actually a little bit that way too although it's a very different story but I'm you know I come from
02:39Belgium and I grew up in mostly in France as a teenager and and in my 20s and those are
02:45not
02:45countries where a lot of musicians become you know international you know in this the way that that I
02:51have since since I've started working first with soil work and then now with Megadeth so I think
02:56I feel also a little bit like you know I'm just a a dude from a small town in Belgium
03:01who managed to
03:01somehow find himself in this position so I think that's inspiring for people to to show that if
03:07you really work hard and put in the time and effort and follow your heart and stay passionate about
03:12what you do you can actually get somewhere with that you know thank you very much thank you Federica
03:19thank you thank you see you in Africa
