00:00You know Suns fans, it's been a minute since we've had one to feel good about,
00:05Tuesday night at the Mortgage Matchup Center, Phoenix finally got back in the win column,
00:09with a 121-11 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, and look, on paper, a win is a win, especially
00:16when you've been battling through a rough stretch, and especially when the defending
00:19champs are coming to town next, that W, we needed it, but I'm just gonna say it, this
00:24one didn't exactly feel clean, Phoenix came out firing both ends of the floor, they built
00:29a 31-point lead, in the second quarter, Dylan Brooks knocked down a 15-footer, and the
00:34Suns were rolling by their biggest margin of the night, then something shifted, or maybe
00:38it's more accurate, to say the whistle shifted, over the final 4-plus minutes of the second
00:44quarter, Dallas cut that 31-point lead, down by 14, they shot 8 free throws, the Suns shot
00:512, in the third quarter, the Mavericks attempted 15 free throws, Phoenix attempted 1, in the
00:58fourth, as Dallas climbed within 6, they took 11 more trips, to the line, Phoenix took 6,
01:05for the game, Dallas finished with 44 free throw attempts, Phoenix had 9, that 35 attempt
01:12differential, is the largest, in any NBA game, since the league suspended operations, back
01:18in March 2020, now I don't need to tell you what happens in this building, when Scott Foster's
01:23name gets called out, during the pre-game intros, the groans, the boos, that reaction is earned,
01:30but I'm starting to wonder, if we need to reserve some of that energy for Tyler Ford, Ford was
01:35the crew chief, earlier this season, when the Lakers escaped Phoenix, with a messy 2-point
01:40win, that night, LeBron James made contact with an official, twice during a scrum, and nothing
01:46came of it, the Lakers shot 18 more free throws, than the Suns, weird whistle patterns, just
01:52seem to follow Tyler Ford, especially when he's here in the valley, so here's my question
01:57to you, Suns fans, at what point do we start reacting the same way to Tyler Ford's name
02:03as we do to Scott Foster's.
